Weatherzone shows EC getting less wind and chance of rain than Sydney at least. Just bring a brolly and rain coat. All good.

Entry form has been put up in the first post folks.
-
Those look Sweet! Well my info is dated hehe. Should really pop with the slight matte gloss black against your yellow car.
-
Sorry Guys. I've got the basic form now but flat chat getting ready for the Mega Meet. Will do it on Sat.
-
Nice idea guys! Thanks for the info.

Mine are Lenso not Kai's. And Lenso only offer them in Hyper-Silver right now. I understand they are working up production on these rims.

Here's my update from what I learned at the Tech night. Been playing with that 3M Carbon DiNoc film. Practicing before I try to tackle the roof.

Looks very good! Good job..

I'm not sure I want to start a trend that will allow a Prius out for skidz!

Official Sau Wooshka Charity Cruise, Macquarie Pass, Sunday 3Rd March

Just in case anyone else is interested. I'm going to go to Just Jap (around the corner from the meet up point) about 40 mins early to have a look around. -
Saw an R33 GTR turning from Talavera road onto Ryde Road at about 5:30 pm yesterday. Was in the Spasda 3 so no point in waving. Looked/sounded good.

Read up on it. Search here on the forums, there is a DIY. I removed mine to fix a broken adjustment bracket. Use a heat gun or oven to soften the glue then you have to work around it with screw drivers carefully not to crack the plastic.

Pedal car? What kinda car r u entering?
-
Pretty hard to see in that picture. Might just be converted to slim rectangular sealed units. Lot of 80's and 90's cars used them before custom lenses with replacement bulbs became the norm. The R32 Autostyle car had ones like this but they looked like sealed projectors.
-
I've been thinking of that R.O. from WaxIt. I think it is about $300 with 3 pads, wool, foam cutting and foam polish. Would sure make doing a whole car a whole lot easier.
-
If you took your lenses off then you know that the headlights aren't sealed. You wouldn't want to drive in the rain with them exposed. So, to do the lensless conversion correctly you'd need to convert to sealed headlamps. That's a pretty big deal as you'd have to totally change out the mounts and adjustment stuff. Not saying impossible, but it would be a fair bit of work. I have a banked up project to convert mine to projectors (can't justify the Series 3 expense) and I want to change a few other things when I'm in there. I'll eventually put up a thread when done, but prob won't be till next year.

Holy Heck! Hope the pass isn't closed and the weather treats us better! -
Good info Charlie! Thanks.

Oh, was also going to mention that there will be an award (as per website) for best club display VIP entries. So if you guys want to organise something, then please do so. Here's a thought, how about a simple A4 sheet that you tape from the inside of the car (plan for rain) that has the club logo? Any master photoshoppers out there that can help out?

Hey guys, just catching up on my reading here. A couple of things that people haven't mentioned. 1) Ensure you are using decent wiring. Core should be minimum 1mm if not 2mm. My CDI unit says that 0.75mm is adequate, but just looks too small to me. 2) Also I'd personally use a relay if you are going to hard wire the 12v source to the coils. It won't degrade any performance but will save you the next time you're turning a spanner near the coils. Hard wiring is actually a old school hot rod tip from the days before electronic ignition. Cars used to run a resistor to drop down the 12v to more between 3 and 6 to fire the coil. This put less strain on the coil so it lasted longer. Funny huh!

Jdm Tuning Scene In Japan Today
Pezhead replied to Iron Mike's topic in General Automotive Discussion
That's a pretty sad story for those of us with the fantasy in our heads. Of course maybe the government system on cars has something to do with it. Basically as your car gets older you end up paying more to have it, which is opposite most of the rest of the world where older cars are cheaper to own. Thanks for sharing though. -
If your car doesn't overheat in traffic then shouldn't be a worry. Just not a lot of us end up sitting for 1/2 hour creeping down the road so I thought it would be a good idea to put the tip out. Also, updated info on driveways (thanks again Charlie!). The one on Holebeche Rd has a crest that doesn't like exhausts so best to enter from the Walters rd end.

Ok, so here is THE PLAN! (Huge thanks to NXTIME for finding and scouting the location for us!) A member has a contact that works in this business park. It has been verified to be pretty much empty by 5:00 pm on a Friday and has tons of room for the SAU crowd. We don't know if there will be other groups meeting there (since this is a public event) but it easily accomodates between 80 and 100 cars. It goes without saying that anyone revving their engines, burn outs, loud music or generally bad behaviour will be asked to immediately leave and will be reported to the authorities. Being in this group you are representing SAU:NSW and our code of conduct, member or not. Two groups probably means that the SAU entries in the mega meet will be in at least two locations, assuming they park the mega meet cars first come first serve. VIP's will be in one group and general entry in the other. Group 1: VIP's and SAU Trade Stand Entries (we only have room for about 8 on our trade stand and they have already been identified) Meet up at the location at 4:30 and will be departing at 5:00 pm SHARP to go the few minutes to the Mega Meet location. A small group of execs/trade stand members will depart earlier to report back on the entry conditions. This MAY require earlier departure time if queuing is bad. SO BE PREPARED TO DEPART ANY TIME BETWEEN 4:30 AND 5:00 PM! Group 2: General Entry should arrive to the meet location between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. Group two should depart the location at 6 PM sharp! If the groups get split by the traffic lights there isn't a whole lot we can do as we expect the whole area to be chock full of cars trying to get to the meet. So do your best and don't try any funny business to stay together. As long as the groups leave together we can try to reassemble in the meeting parking lot. Expect a long queue and to be sitting on idle for a while. TIP! Be sure to check your radiator fluid to make sure your car won't over heat. MEETING LOCATION: Industrial Car Park off Holbeche Rd & Walters Rd, Arndell Park (Meeting will be in the Red Triangle marked on the map) DO NOT enter from Holbeche Rd as that driveway is steep and crested. The two driveways on Walters Rd are lip/exhaust friendly, with the on on the lowest part of this picture being nearly flat.

I'll talk to Dave about it. Although, normally we do not refund unless the event sells out. We still have real costs to cover and the last one was far FAR from full.
