  1. Only time we run wet is when it rains . Just too hard to cater for wet and dry - more people come to learn to drift or entry skills for competitive skidpan. Both dry events.
  2. Glad to hear was such a good day for everyone. Now that you've had a taste, time to get out at some of our events for a proper full day of runs and fun. How many skidpan runs/courses did you get on this day? Our Texi's we get six courses and three runs on each for about the same price (for members)!
  3. spotted a dark 33 parked with the bonnet up on Lane cove rd across from Lady Game Dr. Hope wasn't anything serious.
  4. You can also try Greg from Unique Auto Tinting. He's based in Westleigh (close to Hornsby) but does a great job and excellent prices. In fact, I just booked the Wife's 350Z in next Sat. And he does still honor his Skylines Australia discount - after all these years! He did my GTR back in 2009 and true to his word, the tinting still looks like the day I had it done! Impressive! I highly recommend is worth the trek.
  5. Glad to see the perk in interest. Like others indicated it isn't a full on track day but great way for folks to go see what it's like for a taste. There are lots of other opportunities but expect them to be around a few hundred bucks for a track day and 50-70 for a skidpan. But then there are requirements like motorsport licenses and fire extinguishers. If you've ever wondered about motorsport but sitting on the fence get in on this if you can!
  6. Go into the forced induction thread and at the top is an RB26 dyno results. Start your research. 450-500 hp (assumed at the wheel) should be forged bottom end for reliability. You can do it with stock internals and then it just a question of how long it will last. Again, lots of opinions on this but don't underestimate the potential. Coming from stock I suggest you really consider what are the right upgrade stages for you. Jumping from stock to that power level is a big difference. Not to mention the other items you should be doing to make sure the car can handle it (being it's age) such as replacing old bushes and arms. Done right these cars have massive potential but I always caution folks. Remember you are talking about a power level 2x the original. So it will require the right planning and engineering (therefore $$) to make it perform right at that level.
  7. Saw that on your facebook this morn. Nice rolling shot!
  8. Hey folks, here are a few from my holiday in Vietnam & Thailand. I'll post up some more later but don't want to whore up the place like I do some times I know this next shot isn't up to par but the coach bus was traveling along at about 80kph as I was trying to get the shot on horrible bumpy roads through Vietnam. This is Hue (same location was used in the Top Gear Vietnam Special). And, my favorite from the trip!
  9. I didn't take too many but here's for anyone that missed the day.. You missed some YUMMY cake! CAKE!
  10. Anyone looking for our spot, I'm waiting for a bday part to finish in a covered area near a BBQ and ice cream truck.
  11. Weather looks great for our picnic today! I'm just going to have to figure how to keep the cake cool - hehe. See you all there.
  12. I've got some video in the gigabytes of content I have to go through... Patience please

    Drive Safe

It is very sad to hear about this accident. Deepest condolences to all involved or impacted by this tragedy. It's also sad that I have to remind everyone that this is a public forum and posts here have been used on news shows when reporting on incidents so please be mindful of anything you post related to this story.
  14. Anybody that ran their car on the day and wants some club member champion points send me a PM.
  15. Here's a video of Joey's car at the Dyno Day yesterday. I think he mentioned it was running about E60. Sound isn't great but at least it doesn't blow out too bad. Best to click HD and watch it that way (I uploaded a full 1080HD version but even Vimeo trims it down to 720).
  16. Here's a teaser video of Joey's car. (Best to click through and watch it in HD but for the lazy here is the embedded version)
  17. Have a chat, post your videos and Pics here! I've got almost 100 gigs of video to sort through so give me some time folks. I'll try to get a couple of short "teasers" up quickly though. Huge thanks to the Boys at Unigroup for hosting such a great day for us. As you saw they didn't get a break all day and worked through the heat. Also thanks to the execs that helped out. Mechanic Sean was on the spot helping people with their shaft and Terry's ice cream fozza van went a treat in the hot afternoon.
  18. Let's move this to the wrap up thread. I'll start one in the NSW section now.
  19. Nice work! Look at that gear lever jump round on launch! hehe!
  20. Seems to be some gremlin running around taking out RB's lately. I just completed a massive job on mine only to have a cam break on the track. Unlucky that your oil pump let go. Good to see you doing it yourself though. It is a BIG job!
  21. Not sure how to book - if you know and could would be great!
  22. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/410825-relaunching-sau-nsw-annual-points-score/ Member's Point Score. If you can't open the link you need to become a financial member.
  23. Is anyone just coming to watch that can help us tranport the club BBQ from the new location in Rydalmere to Windsor?
  24. I'll bring my video camera and a few GoPro's but sound is hard to get without lots of noise blow-out.
  25. Just went to costco and can confirm the pack is 36 for $20. They are medium size 40cm x 40cm.
