  1. Sorry, I' know I'm a bit late on this topic but...
  2. Hey what's the condition on the steering wheel? Price?
  3. Price Drops: Blow Offs: $250 GTech: $50
  4. Three Club GoPro's for rent. $35 for the day. PM me to reserve it. DO IT NOW! Don't wait until they're gone.
  5. Surely somebody wants a GoPro HD, they take great 1080 & 720 video. They're used on all kinds of TV shows like Mythbusters, Drift Nationals, etc. Probably the best way to get in-car or perspective video for motorsports. I'll also drop the price on the GTech to $75. Great little device to check 0-60 & G's to make sure your tuning is actually going forwards instead of backwards. Somebody buy my stuff so I can order my next gadget
  6. Yes, Yes.. and Yes. $35 is for first timers members or not. And you will have to buy an AASA license on the day (good for a year). Come along and have fun, cheapest motorsport around and you get runs all day long. Will be good to see more newies out there giving it a go!
  7. I've got a few items to sell so I can but some new gadgets. I'm willing to ship but will have to give you a quote on how much that will cost. GoPro HD includes the camera, battery, housing, both backing plates and the suction mount (motorsports kit essentially). $200 HKS SSQ Blow-offs mounted on an R33 GTR mounting pipe. These are as I pulled them off the car. $300 Lastly a GTECH Pro RR performance computer for sale. Measures g-force & RPM (somehow picks it from the power leads, actually works ok). The shift light function is actually pretty neat as well as the data logging. It works on any car. $100 (Info from manufacturer) The GTECH Pro RR brings new features and enhancements over the older Gtech Pro Competition Meter. The Pro RR features: Horsepower: G-TECH/Pro will give you accurate horesepower ratings for your car before and after modification. It's a great way to see if you are making the right improvements. Torque: With the revolutionary new RPM pickup right from the cigarette lighter we are able to measure Torque and display a DYNO-plot graph. We are the only people in the world to do this at this time. 60ft Time: 60ft time is a new measurement which helps to determine if your car is getting away from the line or not. 1/8th and 1/4 mile: Oldies but goodies. These two measurements are what has made G-TECH a household name with car enthusiasts all over the world. 0-60 and 0-100-0 mph: 0-60 mph is another standard measurement with the new 0-100-0mph becoming increasingly more popular with the magazines. RPM and Shiftlights: RPMs and Shiftlights we are particularly proud of. We have invented this technology. No one in the world can pick-up RPMs from the cigarette lighter. Yes, MSD ignitions and even diesels work! Handling Gs: G-TECH/Pro SS model has a unique new G-arrow that shows you the direction of the Gs that you are pulling and new large G numbers that are easy to read at a glance. Record up to 30 runs: With the new friendly icon-based user interface you can chose and review any of your runs in a matter of a couple of button clicks. 3 Precision Sensors: We are the only G-meter that has x, y and z precision accelerometers. This improves accuracy and consistency. It also allows you to orient the G-TECH/Pro any way you like. Road Racing/Autocross: RR stands for Road Racer. It has all of the features of the SS model plus Road Racing/Autocross mode in which you can record and replay your Gs and RPMs for a given practice or race session. PASS Software: PASS - Performance Analysis System Software. It can be used for replaying and comparing 1/4 mile runs or for replaying Road Race/Autocross sessions. It even replays engine sound based on recorded RPMs. Multiple Vehicle Support: With the RR model you can memorize settings for up to 4 cars and jump from one to another in a matter of seconds. 2hr Data Aquisition: RR model comes with 2 Megs of FLASH. This is enough to store over two hours of Road Racing/Autocross sessions (10 Hz recording.) That's more than full-blown data-acquisition systems costing thousands! PC Download Cable: RR model comes with the PC Download Cable that is used to quickly hook-up to your PC and download all your runs and sessions. AC Adapter (Serial adapter may be required) RR model comes with the AC Adapter so you can power the unit while you are downloading the runs/sessions to your PC. Note: May not be compatible in your country and an additional transformer may have to be purchased (not supplied). Permanent Mount: RR model comes with the Permanent Mount which allows you to permanently mount the G-TECH/Pro anywhere in your car. The unit itself can still be taken out of its cradle.
  8. Jay that still looks amazing! Incredible work. Here are a few snaps I took while on holiday and showing the in-laws around. (On the Pano's - big tip for anyone starting to stich images together is to ensure everything on the camera is in full manual mode. That way the settings don't adjust when you stich the frames together making them look different. Taken me a while to get confident enough on that.)
  9. We've spent a lot of time discussing and arriving at our club track day format. The majority of our track day attendees are still newer track goers and value taking instructors and mates for rides anytime. Also the additional cost of the timing just adds more cost to the day. There are a few members that really want lap times and we suggest getting personal timing equipment. There are lots of affordable personal timing options now. I've been using a GPS logger for a year and was a great $175 spent! Does more than just timing laps too cause you can see your entry/exit speed and sector times. The club is still doing research on devices to pick up a few for those that really want a lap time. So this really just comes down to a difference between the way VIC & NSW run track day events. We've spent a lot of time evaluating and discussing this in NSW and why we have chosen the "social fun day" atmosphere. There is also the National event coming up for those that want to run Wakefield with Natsoft timing this year. So come along and enjoy a great social track day.
  10. Very Very nice project. My brother had one in that "Lime green" colour when I lived in the States. I still have a '70 240Z sitting in a garage at my mum's place in Seattle. One of these days (when I have a bigger garage) I'll bring it here and do something similar to you. Can't wait to see some vids of this car running around a racetrack! Keep up the good work.
  11. PM SHELL or Goldzilla
  12. Got mine too - these look so good! Quality is as good as anything you'd get at a newstand. Great work Matty Boi!
  13. Well, I'm about to put this unit up for sale. I've spied a new gadget that I want as an upgrade so this one will go for $120. If someone wants it before I put my for sale thread together PM me.
  14. It's the software that came with my QStarz - QRacing. Unfortunately you need the serial number to activate the D/L.
  15. Hi folks, spewing that I missed this trackday but I was on a ship on my way out to some South Pacific Islands as you were all racing round the track. Not sure who used my GPS data logger but here are the results that were stored on it. 10:51 AM Session 11:07 AM Session 1:33 PM Session 1:58 PM Session
  16. Brought the inlaws out to Manly and North head the other day.
  17. No timing on this one Scott. Given the numbers we just couldn't afford to lose even more on the day. You've got your Contour GPS for timing anyway, right?
  18. I just got some info from CAMS on the 2012 NSW Come & Try Day. I bet this will fill up fast so if you want to get in register early. [info from CAMS] COME AND TRY DAY SATURDAY 28 JANUARY 2012 Saturday 28 January 2012 will be the second major CAMS NSW Come and Try Day hosted at Eastern Creek International Raceway. The focus of the event is on attracting new people to motor sport by giving them a taste of a few of the different disciplines available. The event is an ideal opportunity for anyone with a passion for motor sport to get involved and find out exactly how to get started. The CAMS NSW Come and Try Day is a great initiative aimed at promoting motor sport. The key disciplines involved include Supersprints, Motorkhana, and Motor Race, which will provide registrants with a firsthand opportunity to witness these disciplines and partake in the fundamental elements of Motorkhana and Supersprint. Additionally, the event will include informational tours on the duties and responsibilities of various officials, including the fire and recovery marshals, administration, stewards, the event secretary and the clerk of course. Four staggered groups will go through the different activities, with the activities running for approximately 3 and ½ hours. Morning and afternoon sessions are available. A car is the only requirement for you to participate in the Come and Try Day. If you already hold or have held a CAMS competitor or officials licence, then you are not able to participate in this day. The costs for participants will be $30, which will include insurance for the day. Bookings are required. For more information regarding the day contact: Daniel A. 19. Tis true! and we go rain or shine. WeatherZone says 80% chance of <1 mm for Goulburn on Sat. I learned a lot at MDTC on the wet track day (My first wet trackday). And Wakie is A LOT better place to learn cause there's lots of run off.
  20. Hey buddy, PM me your bank details for the caster rods. Saves me replacing the bush (Paying someone to do it at the shop) so I can do it in my own time. thanks! PS was good to run into you at the nationals. If you come to this Year's be sure to say hi again!
  21. Hey Grant are the noltec camber arms the adjustable ones with the bush type? I managed to mangle one of my bushings on a curb hit. I wouldn't mind having a spare pair since my ambition for speed seems to overcome my talent.
  22. The events calendar is up for our "Big" events next year (Check the 2010 events thread - updated in the first post). Now that we have those locked in we'll be working on the social events to fill in on the less active months. So it will be updated by Jan. Dec is generally a very slow time since everyone is busy with their personal lives. Keep an eye out for more social stuff happening soon. Or maybe take this opportunity to organise an "Unofficial" pizza cruise Malcolm. It's always good to see that sweet ride of your's! (PS - just PM Shell to organise your membership renewal. We're working to get a better system up and running soon.)
  23. Yup sure works great for the low angle and high angle shots. I'm thinking of getting an external HDMI monitor for it when I do video work even at 3.5 inch it's a bit hard to ensure you've got all the detail and focus right. Keep the shots coming folks! Anyone got any good stories to share? Isn't it great to just hang out with a couple of great guys like Fred & Jim? They were so personable. I got to have a good chat with Christine (Fred's wife). She was very impressed with our club and commented how active it was for club level motorsport. She's actually started Bathurst herself 8 times! Fred chimed in and said "Yeah, she's a better driver than Richo!" bumping Jim to which he replyed "Oh yeah!".
  24. Hook me up! Just paid & email away!
  25. Bugger - we all missed out. Let us know if it falls through I'm sure one of us 3 stooges will stump up.
