  1. check with Brett (post #3 there). But seriuosly folks, this is a CHEAP offer for a bunch of fun rain or shine since it is indoor. Can't believe we haven't gotten more takers.
  2. Buddy - you've got a R32 GTR. Pull fuse - rip mad skidz! Seriously though, you can choose to run as hard or as quick as you like. The ride I gave you wasn't a fast run, was just a bit of side step clutch fun sliding around. Much faster to not slide so much. It's all good and fun how ever you want to run.
  3. Tats, I'm going to be away on holiday (BUGGER!) but happy to lend my GPS lap timer to one of the Club exec's so you can get a base line session in. They just need to make sure they let me know what time your session was so I can extract your data.
  4. Hey Matt, I'm not aware that we got a full list. Each driver got their own timeslips.
  5. Pack car night before. Sleep in car with iPhone alarm on dash. Wake up start driving. WIN!! lol!
  6. 4 am is a bit of an exaggeration. Doesn't take 2.5 hrs to get there unless you live somewhere up the central coast or beyond. But I get what ya mean. I'd have to be on the road by 5:30. Can someone check this? I've re-done the google map fail thingo - I think it was a quirk that google will make you back-track sometimes if your stops get out of order. GOOGLE MAP Maybe we poll folks about start time. Steve-O, Paul and Brett were pretty keenolio for the early start. I'm ok as long as we don't go beyond 8 am as I'll have traffic problems. Oh, and my thought on those petrol stations on the way to Yass is that if you need petrol or to pee just stop and rejoin the group in Yass. No need to stop the whole group.
  7. Hi folks, Just wanted to let you know that we are looking into timing and the structure of the day. Things were left hanging when Renew pulled out and I have the committee working on options. Please be a little patient as we know how keen everyone is about the day and will do our best to meet requests. We also need to get this day filled up as Duncan pointed out, if we cannot get the numbers up we will have to pull it. That's the last thing we want to do. Again, please be a little patient as coordinating all of the logistics takes time. We should have all of the updates in a couple weeks. [Edit] First post has been updated. We are looking into timing options for the day and will post more when we have more info. Thanks.
  8. well i'm relying on google which can be hit and miss. Also had to pin the petrol stations from the sat view. I think the times got farked. I havent done this pass so relying on that info. I need to recheck all the legs again. as for starting time, much later for me (and others) and you're into commuter traffic that's unpredictable.
  9. Yup - two options there: QStarz - independent 5hz GPS Logger that comes with QRacing Software for analysis. Very impressive piece of kit for $175! (Google it) Other option is the Contour GPS or Contour Plus. These integrate a 4hz GPS signal into video. You know those overlays I do that look like telemetry? You'll need to buy Dashware ($50) but the end result is quite impressive without all the hassle I go through to sync the video and GPS data. Contour GPS is about $300 and Contour Plus about $500 through Fleabay.
  10. I'll be coming to this one this time. Suspension - always something to learn!
  11. Are you serious! Which Dickies?
  12. Ok Boys -n- Girls, here you go. Pure sound on this one, music has been removed. I lengthened the clips where I could but some didn't go all the way to a time at the end. Hope you enjoy.
  13. Shame we didn't get more of the Starion. I remember loving those things in America when I was younger. They represented the "New Breed" of turbo car believe it or not - hehe! Some times I miss my Mitsubishi Eclipse (was a fun little car for a stocker). The eclipse replaced the Starion in the 90's as their flagship hot little turbo car. Was probably the fastest car I owned before the GTR.
  14. Sorry Mark, I wasn't shooting the video. Was reall good of Joel to take my camera and get so many runs on video. Now that my time and duties are so full on, not sure how much video work I'm going to be able to continue to do.
  15. Actually without music it is quite tedious - needs something to string the segments together. And the date is 18 September 2011 - what time zone you in?
  16. Here's another quick video from our drag day.
  17. Drag Day video is up! Be sure to watch it in HD.
  18. Could be that I double counted a leg. Was a real pain trying to find the fuel stops and track the distance. I'll try to have a look at this over the weekend.
  19. And Mees Too!
  20. Yeah, I figure we're just going to get there. Check in. Have a quick shower and then meet up for dinner or night activities with the rest of the crew that is congregating.
  21. I've been trying to get min editing rights back so I can update the thread SAU mods say "computer says NO!". Noth'n mean or anything just wasn't correct policy to grant a few of us rights so they have been removed. I do want to stop for a burger on the way there - and on the way back if it is that good. Personally arriving 45 minutes earlier isn't worth the rush to me. There's a decent size group going now so should be a really good time. We WILL be doing the speed limit all the way down.
  22. This shot is really impressive Matt. The car is just launching so you had to anticipate the launch, pan to match the launch speed & acceleration and all done in the first few meters before the car even crosses the tree. Wow! Impressive!
