Many Many thanks to all the folks that put in the hard yards on these things. I know I'm going to miss a few of you folks that were a great help today but thanks to AggroDave, Ben, Sean, Sloane, Mitch, Liz and all the other folks that really helped out today. Our sausage sizzle litterally fed an army today! Oh, and my PB was a 12.77. Still having some issues with spark blowout on high boost and to be honest crap tyres that I'm just trying to wear out. I'm sure there's a low 12 in the car so I'll have to get back out there some time again soon.

BOM says only 5% chance of run and SUN, SUN, SUN! Bring the sunscreen and possibly a bottle of water tomorrow folks. Gonna Need it.

At the moment we are doing a series of tech nights. Once we get a few under our belt we'll see if people want us to repeat certain ones. So continue to watch the SAU calendar.

Wow just read the rules and according to that I'm in Standard class! Woot! That's kind of crazy and it includes GT-SS and -7 Turbos, any electronics, suspension, brakes, intercoolers and just have UTQG Rating 140 or above but doesn't list my KU36's on the approved... Hmmmm.

As per above folks, the spectator list is locked in. It is just too hard to make the last minute changes. Please have him note that he is replacing Zdravko when checking in. Sorry folks but having WSID limit the number of spectators has made the whole process really difficult. Please read my thread on how we will handle spectators from here on out.

Brett, that's the last list I have as @ 12th Sept. It has been an absolute nightmare because of the reschedule and the way we have had to register details with Sydney Dragway. Please let your Driver know to grab your ticket from the "reserve pool" when he signs up or else come and grab one. Sorry mate, just a logistical headache trying to sort out the last minute details.

Great! Recon group Alpha please report back!

Geez guess Aggro and I have scared everyone away from the Central Shepparton Appartments. Sounds like the rest of you lot would be noisy neighbors anyways.

Love your ingenuity there, or is it just many years of experience talk'n. Regardless I always love the simple solution! And yes Sean, because it is a timed event I don't think they will run passenger sessions. You're certainly welcome to hop in next time I take it to one of our days though.

Wow - been told to HTFU... *lowers head, walks to corner of room face in* Seriously, nobody wants a feed? Road Sammich I guess it is.

My entry went in last night. IN IN IN!
-
Yay Sean - so are you gonna run at winton?

I looked into that hotel you folks are staying at and found this one that's a bit cheaper. Pain in the arse booking system and they aren't very responsive through email but is a cheap 2 br place. http://www.sheppapartments.com.au/book-now/

I just entered so should be seeing mine soon.

I might just have the groups split at lunch - those that want to rush down and those that want to have a lunch break. I know I'd like a decent burger and an hour to clear the drone-ing from the ears

I have to update the trip. New plan is to have lunch at the half way cafe instead of in Albury. We'll still have a fuel stop in Albury but meeting point will change. I'll try to figure out our timing for you Humbla - but given the number of cars and length of the trip, I don't know how accurate will be. PM me your cell number and I can SMS you from one of our stops. Ok so last night started to update but stupid windows update crashe my machine! ARGH! Will update by the weekend.

Hi Folks, Entries are now closed. We have to send the list to the management at WSID. Not that much longer to wait now!
-
Thanks Steve-O. Wow, Can't believe I hit it on the Go-to-Whoa.
-
Video of trip down & along the way - Yes! Twisty bits, well it's a long day and if we want to take an extra hour for a burger stop (I'm in favor too!) then we won't really have time. But I may ask a few folks to take a go-pro and "talk to the camera" a bit on the way down.

Hey Duncan - how about pre-event maintenance/inspection?
-
Thanks Ian - like the others have said you have acheived, Legend... (wait for it) ...ary! In place of most people's lame helix you my friend have an extra awesome helix, true story!

Good suggestions very welcome. Is the food anygood - and is it around lunch time? I can always amend the schedule.

SAU Nationals Road Trip This is just an unoffical SAU cruise where we can enjoy the trip together and make a long trip much more enjoyable. The whole trip takes about 8 hours without stops so we will need to meet up early and leave strictly on time. I've given about 15 minutes of buffer for each of the scheduled stops. The idea is that if you REALLY want a certain type of fuel or have to pee, then stop and meet us at the next location. We won't be stopping at each servo on the way to Yass. So between Pheasants Nest and Yass if you want to stop just meet up again at Yass. As long as you are quick and don't dilly dally you should be fine. We have two longer breaks - for meeting up in Yass and then a quick lunch & Pit stop in Albury. What to bring: Be sure to be prepared for a solid 8 hours of driving. Have brekkie before we meet up and have your sunscreen on - nothing worse than truck driver tan! Also a good idea to have some drinks, snacks and a pack lunch as we won't have much time for stops on the road - just a quick potty stop here and there. If you have a CB bring it along so we can chat along the way with an extra set or two of batteries. Most only last 4-6 hrs on a set. Or better if you have a ciggy adapter. THE PLAN: Google Map Version (Link) Sydney Meeting Point: Starting Location: Pheasants Nest Mobile Starting Time: Will leaving on Friday 28th October. Meet up @ 7:00 for a 7:30 AM SHARP! departure. We WILL leave right at 7:30 am so don't miss the bus. Remember we are on a strict schedule to meet up with the Canberra people at meeting point #2. Canberra Convoy Catch-up: Starting Location: Caltex Truck Stop @ Yass off Hume Hwy Meet up Time: Meet up @ 10:15 AM for a 10:30 departure. Fast Fuel & Pit stop in Albury: Arrival Time in Albury: 2:10 Activity: Fuel stop of choice and just a few minutes for lunch Meeting Point: Aquatic Centre Departure time: 2:30 SHARP! Don't be tardy! Arrival in Shepparton: 4:40 pm Now check into your hotel, have a quick tidy up and meet up for the pre-SAU Nats festivities! Detailed Driving Instructions: (As from Google maps) Mobile @ Pheasants Nest on Hume Hwy Starting Point Shell Truck Stop on Hume Hwy (Optional) 55 km – about 35 mins BP Truck Stop @ Marulan on Hume Hwy (Optional) 25.5 km – about 16 mins Caltex Truck Stop @ Yass on Hume Hwy 114 km – about 1 hour 13 mins Yass to Albury on Hume Hwy 302 km – about 3 hours 41 mins Albury to Shepparton via Hume Freeway 173 km – about 2 hrs 7 mins Sydney Meeting Point - Mobile @ Pheasants Hill Canberra Meeting Point - Yass Caltex & Maccas off Hume Hwy Albury Meeting Point - Aquatic Centre Car Park (End of Hume street) The Trip Route:
