  1. First time with the camera? Really? Those look great Rob.
  2. Hey Rob, thanks for posting up the pics. That wasn't one of my worst offs. I'll have to post the one that cost my my carbon lip that was.... exciting. I can't sleep either, or at least can't stay asleep. I get to go back out today. Can't wait!
  3. Actually was hillarious. I pointed at him and he put his hand up. So when he put his hand down I quickly turned the camera his direction and shot without aiming or focusing. Gotta love that the framing came out perfect. I didn't even have to crop that photo.
  4. Nice pics Shell. You must be very sneaky. Every time I try to get people's photos they shy away (maybe my personality). I had to trick Andrew to take this one.
  5. My car was maxing out at 120KM/H and the 350 clocked in at 126. I can attest it took a good few sessions for me to "sort out" myself and I did have a number of offs in those first few sessions. There was adequate runoff in those areas. So yes there are some caution areas but if you keep a level head you shouldn't get yourself into too much problem. I'm headed out there tomorrow again and hope that it is a dry day. If so then I'll have wet and dry data to share.
  6. Thanks for the clean up Matt. Here is another pic taken from the robotic GoPro shooting 1FPS off the side of the car. I took this by the lake after I washed the car. Yes, believe it or not I did wash it but the dirt just wouldn't come off! Oh and a couple of photos I shot on the way to the meet up spot at the hill climb. (Eric trying to be all "artistic 'n stuff"
  7. Here are a few from the hill climb.
  8. I'm still in the hotel in Goulburn but when I get back to Sydney I hope to clean up a few more photos and post them up. This first one will look great once I can add a little bit of filtering and HDR to make the clouds pop.
  9. See ya there tomorrow folks. I'll be the one in the filthy dirty GTR
  10. g'morn folks. See you all at the track.
  11. Hi there folks, I'll have 3 of the club gopro's there for this event. If you want to reserve one PM me. It's $35 for the day and I'll mail you DVD's after the event (if you want you can bring a laptop to copy the files off the SD card but expect about 12-16 gigs).
  12. A friend of mine bought these but they were too small. Brand new in box Black Sparco Racing Boots - Size 40. A few years old (have been sitting in her closet). $100 + 10 for Shipping anywhere in Aus.
  13. Well drifting is all about learning the balance and power control (e.g. powersliding) of your car. Texi is a good place to start and there are a few guys that can pretty much drift our texi courses (James in his black and yellow R31 for instance). Come to a texi in your car then do a drift school day. Then there are a number of drift night events at eastern creek running - watch our event section. That'll be my suggesting if you really want to learn drifting in a safe controlled environment.
  14. Great, bring $35 cash on the day and see me before the sessions start (I'll be the Asian guy wearing a black Nismo shirt)
  15. GoPro's people! Who wants em?
  16. Good question their site says coffee and snacks available. I didn't even think about it since Wakefield's canteen is actually alright. Good thought, better grab someth'n to munch on .
  17. Had a chat to Paul (Piggas) and Aggroman who are both interested too. Sounds like this is going to be going ahead in some form. Those of you on the "Interested" list please check in.
  18. Check out this site: Fibreglass Forums You have to sign up to get into the forums and see the pics but it's well worth it. Plenty of good inforamtion in there. I did a lot of reading before I tackeled my Carbon over Fibreglass front lip project.
  19. A little something I've been playing on for the last couple of days. Hope you like it.
  20. Hey folks, I almost forgot. The club GoPro Cameras will be there. We've got 3 to rent. $35 gets you a camera all charged up then I'll cut the video to DVD and mail it to you. First in, best dressed. PM me to reserve it if you want one.
  21. check out this one - it's really nicely done!
  22. My Mate from work here just entered. You should see his details come across. He's got a nice 34 GTR.
  23. The drone actually still only does 640 x 480 video. If you want that get one of those key fob video jobbies I used at the s-n-s. There are also high capacity multi blade rigs like the AR Drone but heavier duty - but also tend to cost $$$. I need to get off my duff and get my T-Rex 450 going with a GoPro.
  24. Looks good Terry. You'd actually find that the counter rotating models are much more stable in turbulent wind conditions. Besides I doubt you want to get close enough to a moving car both from a potential damage to the chopper, car and making the driver nervous. I also fly RC heli's and the key to good video is A) really wide angle optics and B) slow panning/flying motion to try and keep the jitters out. Hope to catch up with you soon for a demo
  25. I agree with Mr Flynn, just be sure you know your own financial position and be sure to have someone that really knows Skylines to check it out for you. If it is modified assume that anything you can't visually inspect isn't really done. Also be sure to put aside at least 1k as emergency "fix it" money. Skylines are great cars but because they make good power, you should assume it has been abused at some point in its life that will need to be replaced. Remember most 32, 33, and 34's are at least 10 years old if not more. There will be maintenance items you'll need to take care of. No matter how thoroughly you have the car checked out you are buying a used car so parts are worn. Be sure to have a compression check done and if possible inspect the turbo to make sure it doesn't have play. Good luck with it. I bought my skyline several years ago and am lov'n it.
