  1. Good advice from Zebra there. First and foremost of you get a great computer but the tuner doesn't do a good job then makes no difference how much you spent on it or what features it has. Also consider the support. Several are local but what's the support like, consider the same with those made overseas. Lot of opinions but most dedicated good ones will do the job.
  2. Vid's up - Dam I'm good! I have so much footage, I'll try to do another one this week.
  3. A few of you know that I shoot a lot of video with a GoProHD. One thing that works well is not to worry about putting the camera upside down as you just correct it after shooting. That saves time at the track. Here is the GoPro Tutorial including what free software to use. The software is also good if you just want to trim/cut but preserve 60fps. Not that many software programs support 60fps as it isn't a true standard. http://gopro.com/support/rotate-stream-clip
  4. If you just need to crop but want to preserve 60fps use this Cass: GoPro Recommends MPEG Streamclip
  5. ^ ^ Hello!
  6. Well folks, I have lots and lots of video to edit. I think I got some really good footage so I just need to sort out some time to do the editing. Hey Bored33, I've got footage of your car doing a 4 wheel skid smok'n the fronts in addition to the rears. Nice show!
  7. I've still got two left so if you two guys want them confirm up. Just pay me on the day.
  8. GoPro Rental! Ooops, I left this till too late - Who wants to rent one of the club GoPro's for $35 for the day? That includes me copying the video to DVD's and mailing them to you after the event. Just bring cash to pay on the day. PM me. First in, Best Dressed.
  9. Hi Aaron, Still haven't heard from Blitz. Give me a shout on 0419 468 835 and I'll try to figure out what's the best way to get this stuff to you. Hope you're feeling better soon and to a speedy recovery.
  10. Thanks fellas - so much interest. We might just have to figure out a helper's event just to make good use of your offers!
  11. Um,Matt! DROOL! Love it, great rig shot.
  12. Hey Aaron, I haven't heard from Blitz so shall I drop care package #2 off to you Tuesday after work? I've got 5 seasons of top gear, misc movies and all the SAU event videos I could find. Also a few choc chip cookies - yes, their Yankee cookies. Not Biscuits. Lol Let me know if that will be ok. I can drop off to reception to respect your privacy if you like. Regards, Eric
  13. I will be there all day too. Plan on filming but if a position needs to be filled or someone needs a break I'm happy to stand in.
  14. I was just reading in the previous event (2007) where several cars ran within 5 or 7 hundreths of breaking into 10's and was fine. So sounds like it isn't a "fuzzy" rule, but I guess one of the guys that is closer to the rules could answer definitively.
  15. Thanks guys - great response. So good to have a club where people are willing to pitch in a helping hand.
  16. I'm going to try to clear off one of my portable HD's too cause that will be easiest. Then I can give you so much stuff that you can watch pretty much non-stop
  17. Nice stuff there Jay. I love the fisheye effect as you cut through traffic. Crazy! I don't have any tips for mac software sorry. I use Corel VideoStudio but it's for PC.
  18. So Aaron, is it ok for me to burn the video files on DVD in computer format rather than DVD video format? Will be easier but then you can only watch them on the computer. If that's ok I and just start dumping and burning a whole stack. If you prefer standard DVD player type ones will just take a little longer for me to compile them.
  19. I think he is organizing a laptop Terry. Will find out more from Blitz.
  20. FYI - I'm PMing people to collect their details to store in the exec's section. That way you aren't broadcasting your personal details here in the open forum. Thanks guys!
  21. Duncan let me know that SAU has sent a care package to Aaron courtesy of Nick's delivery service. Sounds like poor Aaron might be in hospital for a little bit while they get his injuries sorted. I'll be cutting some DVD's of our club event footage over the weekend and baking some cookies to bring to him next week. Maybe I'll cut a season or two of top gear for him as well. If anyone else is interested in contributing to the second care package drop post up in this thread. Just imagine being stuck in bed and how boring that would be. What can we bring him to help him pass the time? We're a creative bunch so let's keep the ideas flowing.
  22. Patrick I ran Pirelli Corsa P-Zeros and was surprised they weren't that much better than street tyres. I need to stump up for some real Semi's now. Well done on a 1.13 that's about what I run in street trim. I gotta lurn to steer betta.
  23. Hey Phil, any more updates on these? All these photos and talk about installing them has me itching to get them on the car. Thanks.
  24. Maybe we should organise a hospital drive by cruise so he can at least hear the RB music Seriously though, if there is a DVD player in his room I can bring some videos of club events and I have a stack of motive DVD's I'm happy to loan him if he's going to be stuck in the hospital for a while. I know what it's like to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, but luckily I walked away with just some physio.
  25. Like the others here best wishes for him and hope the surgery goes well. I'm sure it goes without saying that if there is something the club can do, please let us know.
