  2. oops, posted the results in the other thread. Here they are again: (before Ben's run cause I forgot to take a picture right at the end)
  3. Was a good time last night. Great to see all the gang. Here's the board standings the first time we thought we were finished - sorry Ben you're not on this pic. I forgot to take a picture right at the end.
  4. YAWN... Just up from a Nap... Oh oh... <runs to garage to drop the drive line out of the GTR> Be there in a few...
  5. I did this when testing my xfer case - it was stuffed. You need to be in an open space for this - hate to see someone's pride and joy slide into a wall or something. I used a floor jack (a heavy duty wide one) to lift the rear tyres just off the ground like 1 inch. Then slowly take off in first - and I mean slowly! The attessa should notice that your rears are spinning faster than the fronts and think you've broken traction - putting traction to the fronts. The fronts should then pull your car forward. If the transfer case is stuffed or attessa has too much air then it won't engage and you'll just spin the rears with no front traction. The GTR's really will spin the rears. They aren't like a full time AWD - so you will get plenty of power on oversteer, tail out fun. That's what makes them so great. An Full Time AWD will just spin all four. Hope this helps.
  6. Well folks, Slim has told me to go nuts uploading stuff to our youtube channel so here it is. Be sure to subscribe so you get notiications when I put new stuff up there. Last week I put a bunch of the texi videos up there but they've only been viewed a couple of dozen times - I can't believe that! NSW SAU YouTube Playlist
  7. Daniel from Platinum did mine and was a top bloke and good prices. Check him out (found him on NS site).
  8. I thought that they didn't have any slipping like a roller can, but there is less inertial mass (e.g. no spinning roller or wheel) so they rely on some other system to create load.
  9. Hey are there any scratches or damage on the wing? Also how much for shipping to NSW 2074? Thanks.
  10. Do you see the woman in the red dress in the matrix code there, I do - shes a hottie Yeah, nice dyno room and glad to hear you are getting good results first time round. I had to make my way through three shops before I got a decent result.
  11. ok videos are going up. Having issues with Kaspersky and youtube so it is slow going. I'll try to do a couple of videos every couple of days. These are the ones from the early session 1, I've also got slow motion playing in the rain and afternoon battles coming soon. Dam! Turismo makes it look way too easy! Guy's got skills. enjoy: Texi!!! Oh, and I'm now posting these on the NSWSAU YouTube Account. Subscribe so that you get updates emailed to you.
  12. Yo folks - (ashamed and hides under rock) I've got a number of vids but work has kept me locked in a very dark room where they slide a meal to me through a slot under the door. Seriously, I've just got to do some more clipping and planning on u/l to SAU Youtube channel. I'll try to get a couple of teasers up soon. Sorry Matt no vids of your big skidz.
  13. I run 275 35 18 Toyo's on my 33 GTR. At full lock the inside of the tyre is just about touching the front anti roll bar (the part on the stock bar that is flatenned so that the tyre doesn't foul). It only clears by like 3-4 mm so that is about as large as you can go and still maintain factory full lock. So if you are running aftermarket bars that don't have the flat spot you might have to reduce the front steering lock so not to foul. My car is driven to work every day so I have to make sure I keep it streetable, if this is track weapon - then different story. And lets face it, without enducing the power turning/rear swing out feature, the turning circle on the 33's isn't a that great.
  14. Here are a couple of snaps I took during the day. They sure don't look as good in "postage stamp mode" but here are a couple of teasers to get you to browse on Flickr: Clicky! or Slide Show Mode
  15. As the resident Yankee I have to say that it truely made my day to see that Yenko Camaro. The last time I saw one in person was 20 years ago in Seattle. No wonder since they only made a few hundred of them. For those that don't know about them: 1969 For 1969, the dealership worked with Chevrolet to have the L-72 engines installed on the factory assembly line using a Central Office Production Order, or COPO. The orders included power disc brakes, a 4.10 Positraction rear end, a stronger front stabilizer, and a heavy-duty 4-core aluminum radiator. Buyers of the car had the option of either the M-21 four speed or the Turbo Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission. A total of 201 cars were sold in 1969, 171 with four speed transmissions and 30 with automatic transmissions. Yenko rounded out the visual package with front and rear spoilers, a cowl-induction hood, special "Yenko 427" badges, twin stripes down the flanks and hood, and the sYc (Yenko Super Car) badge. According to the Camaro Research Group, standard black interior (code 711) was the only interior ordered by Yenko. However, many Yenko tribute cars have a white interior. Almost 40 years later, these Camaros have been appraised and sold for well over $2.2 million USD at Barrett-Jackson auctions. As of sep 2008, there are 2 known automatic transmission 1969 Yenko Camaro's. as stated by ESPN auction show. As of Jan 17th 2009, a REAL ZL-1 Copo, dark green, re-bodied, went for $290,000 at the Barret Jackson Auto Auction Lot 12773. Mr. October Reggie Jackson was bidding on this car but didn't win it. Another yellow, original body, non original heads with Auto transmission for $270,000. Both are said to be a steal and the deals of the show. 1969 Continuation Series Recently a company out of North Carolina called Classic Automotive Restoration Specialists[2] has restarted production of the '69 Yenko Camaro. Don Yenko sold 201 of his infamous COPO-program Camaros out of his Canonsburg,PA dealership. As reported in the March '08 issue of Muscle Car Review the vehicle is a fully licensed and certified Yenko starting at #202. The 427 engine under the hood was built by GM who has brought back the big block engines from the muscle car era. The rest of the components took 2 1/2 years to track down the original machinery. Options offered on the vehicle are the same as was available back in 1969 including paint colors. The car costs around 60% less than some of the current 39-year old Yenko Camaro survivors but drives like an old car would have when it was new off the Canonsburg, PA dealership. Wiki 69 Yenko Camaro
  16. oh... so burnt! I've got some photos and video but can't post for a while as my broadband is throttled at the moment. Thanks all for a great day - very fun to watch.
  17. Ah ha! I think I spotted you this mornig about 7:20 right before Kissing Point Rd - well Black R32 at least if it wasn't ya.
  18. Nice vid there! I'll be there doing video throughout the day - not running this time so I can focus on just getting good footage. Remember to pull that big sub out before this time - hehe.
  19. Yup 'dats me on my way to work every morn. Nice to see yr 32 - were you the one doing some kind of rd work @ yanko? Saw it parked there all the time.
  20. Hey, thanks for the tip on this. I missed the sale but have been looking for a Diablo like game for a while and this one certainly fits the bill. Even plays well on lower grade machines which is a plus.
  21. Well, Pay or not I'm still in for 1/2 day. With all of the work that goes into an event such as this we really do need our members to step up and help out from time to time on the event. I think Xmetal has the same outlook but check with him then assign me a job. See ya there - oh, I've got a new tiny camera that is the size of a key fob - great for really low on-board or in cabin shot back at the driver.
  22. I was planning on filming the whole day - but if someone is willing to split a shift with me that would work well. Hey xMetal - what'cha think? Share a duty?
  23. The music tracks were made using an iPhone app called GrooveMaker. I think I used Groovemaker Rock on the second track. I really like the Rock samples in it. Reminds me of Joe Satriani. So if you have an iPhone and want to do up a bunch of music like that (6 song track samples per groovemaker pack) I can recommend. Easy software to use. cheers.
  24. The video and the others I've been doing this year will all be on the "Intro to Club Motosport DVD" that is really beginning to take shape. Let me know if you need a hi quality copy before the full DVD is ready. I can always have Alex (3rd Year Apprentice where you work) drop it off to you. rds Eric
