  1. So, I finally got around to fabricating a mount. I tried the plastic like you but didnt like the wobble cause the base isn't as snug as the mounts that come with the go pro. I made an aluminium base plate from a bit of angle and cut one side of angle down so it tucks up inside the headliner space. I then moutedan 8 inch magic arm. Will be testing this at some upcomeing motorsport event. this is the view
  2. Well my turbos are blowing oil on boost. So this is the most likely fix. Portas had similar issues. I didn't have issues with the old motor but new motor has a high volume nitto pump (with one spring removed). So I think it is a pressure and volume thing.
  3. So, I ordered some 1mm oil restrictor bolts for my -5 turbos but they didn't fit. And they didn't have the ones I needed so I thought I'd fabricate some of my own. I used the softest 1/4 20 thread pitch bolts from bunnings, some perm strength lock tight and 1mm drill bits from Jaycar.
  4. All I've been taking pics of are our new pups. I'm biased but they are cute as a button!
  5. Thanks for checking in Chris. I agree about adding the diversity and challenge for us and the Evos. Also the RDTC guys did a stellar job in running the event. Thanks for looking into my time and video.
  6. they are looking into it. So I have removed my posts.
  7. I agree with Duncan and Nick. The purpose of having diversity in motoring events is to showcase the strengths and skills required. Even though the courses weren't "fun" like our Texikhana courses, they were challenging. It challenged me to really work my driving skills and to strategise where my car's strengths and weaknesses are in competition at this type of event. I would have actually thought the honda club cars would have done better. The S2000 was a good performer. I just think a lot of them hadn't done this type of event before. The SAU execs have reviewed the CAMS handbook in the past. We have specifically worked with AASA and our own designed courses to ensure that we have course layouts that are better suited to larger and heavier cars. The fact that the SAU Texi is different from CAMS sanctioned motorkhana is on purpose. Of course look at Reece the NSW State Motorkhana champ. He has come to numerous Texi's and is always a top competitor at ours too. So those that want the competition and looking for more technical driving challenge should look into the NSW motorkhana championship and RDTC rounds. Also agree that RDTC did a stellar job in running the round. 8 courses, bonus "fun" round and 50 cars is no small feat!
  8. Exactly. Wasn't easy putting a big Skyline through there.
  9. Here's the courses
  10. Well, we were closing the gap on EvoOz. Down to 6 seconds in that last round. One more wide track and we would have had them
  11. Nulon has posted the results. We took fifth behind EvoOZ. Still such a good effort given the type of event and tracks. Bring on th Ed hillclimb, track day and airport runs!
  12. Well I can confirm that the sensors have sorted out my dramas. The car ran all day Saturday at the Nulon nationals without a single Attesa error. All the rear 1.5 way goodness really helped on the wet Skidpan.
  13. Seriously kudos to the team. We only got two runs on each course. I did a cone of a couple a courses. Luckily I think only one counted for times. Big respect to Duncan in the Leaf. Even with the torque he was the lowest powered car in the field by a long way. Also being front wheel drive without a manual hand break carried quite a penalty on the tight 360's and cone 180's. To get up there in the field took some serious skill.
  14. See Duncan, you laughed at me taking a photo of the board before the last round was up. They pulled the results and didn't post the last round. In overall standing by driver: Duncan - 11th Eric - 16th Alex - 20th Dave - 27th Tim - 28th Last club standings I saw had us in 5th 7 seconds behind Evo Oz. I didn't take a photo of that. Well done to everyone! There were lots of very fast drivers out there. And for those that have been to texi, imagine running two courses in a pan size of just one of SAU Texikhana's. Yes, there were that tight and small. Oh, and Duncan I only hate cones that won't get out of my way
  15. I still have the last one you gave me somewhere. Maybe I should mount it under my seat. It's a plane, it's a Boat, it's an R33!
  16. Wet Skidpan. ... Yes, I have a Boat! Can't wait. Thanks to Nulon and all the SAU supporters.
  17. So checked the resistance on the sensors. R33 were 1.3k ohm and the R32 were 2.1k ohm. So I opted to make some 90 degree adapter plates instead of swapping the connector to put the R32 ones in. Fingers crossed that this finally sorted it out.
  18. Michael, looks like I owe you a round. I rotated the sensors and ran around the block where the error used to show in first 100 meters. Now I need to change the connector on the old sensors and the reinstall. Thanks!
  19. Yup changed my half shafts cause the alsd diff is so much wider.
  20. Really? weird. Will take a pic when I get a chance. So did you change your diff out? Did you have the same problem? Another weird symptom on mine is that the 4wd is on all the time. The transfer actuator is on even when the car isn't on. Fronts and rears move together already active.
  21. I had a fiddle with it over the weekend. Error codes 7 and 8 indicating left and right ABS sensors. That points back to the rear end swap. But they used my sensors in the new center. They said they counted the number of teeth on the ABS cog and it was the same. One thing I found is that the old teeth were about 0.5mm wider than these.
  22. Repco has30% off for VIP club members this weekend. get on it.
  23. Love seeing work like this. Anxious to see how the kit goes.
  24. Did you manage to get it sorted out? Was the computer fritzing out and throwing 4wd/ALSD/ABS errors? Seems my system really pressurises. I primed it and the system bled like 150ml out with the engine off. Tomorrow I'm going to get some thicker gasket material. The actuator gasket is pretty compressed and actuates the clutch pack on the last 1/4 turn of the bolts. I did try to squeeze the hydrolic back but it was firmly seated. I'm going to have to chase down why the system is pressurizing so much and not releasing the pressure. Clearly that is a problem.
