  1. I have been a busy little elf, filling in my week off with a little bit of work, tying up some loose ends really. All pics are taken, straight after it has been welded, no cleaning at all Custom Fuel Cell - with internal pumps on custom mounts, completely baffled, rear extension acting as internal surge tank/extra baffling, removable lid for access to pumps, fuel level sender and filler lid along with return and one way valve to be fitted. It holds some 63'ish litres. Will be coming back with the car for custom made mounts, not your average square tube.....just the norm is not good enough for this kind of work and ignore the Nissan bolts, they are being replaced with Stainless steel, button head screws....in my opinion, it's the little touches that make all the difference Catch can to sit on chassis rail in engine bay - internally baffled Again, not your average mounting bracket. Admittedly, nothing special, but not just some sheetmetal with a 90deg bend in it. Undercar surge tank - complete with twin fuel pump bracket....ooops, I'll have pics tomorrow, didn't realise I didn't take any of it today I made some minor changes to the welder settings and also the way I sharpen the tungsten to try something different and through the helmet, they seemed to be in the right direction....will it ever end??? Now I am making more and more changes depending on what I am welding then ever before, maybe I should just stick to what I have, but it's hard to not to try and get better all the time. Happy welding, Ariel
  2. Feel free to give me a call, pm or sms if you would like some work done. Quality fabrication work and welding. I can tow the car down here and you can drive it back
  3. im after rb25 clutch fan, r32 radiator shroud and r32 interior drivers side vent
  4. im after the drivers side power window switch as well as the drivers side round vent next to the door
  5. Do you have the drivers side power window switch alone?
  6. ps - and don't forget the rb25 gts-4 r32 lol
  7. ps - and don't forget the rb25 gts-4 lol
  8. My tips and tricks are spreading far and wide Just scrolling thru, I noticed some talk about tungsten tips....if you have an inverter machine with hertz adjustment it is very easy to keep the tungsten ball to around 1-1.5mm which is ideal (well for me anyway), but then again it depends on the angle that you grind the tungsten at. All these little tricks all add up. I decide to go against an inverter machine but with different settings, gas flow, tungsten sizes and cup sizes I can still maintain a very small ball on 2.4mm and 3.2mm tungstens. The next step is try even smaller beads while maintaining same level if penetration. All I can say is that for me, practice is the only way to start getting on top of it.
  9. totally understood!!
  10. Nah I didn't.....dam it!! LOL So does that horizontal bar just above the floor go through the tunnel?
  11. ps - is that a tailshaft loop I spotted in the white car? photos 8 & 9.......that's a nice touch
  12. Nice work Brad....I thought I spotted those carbon link bars when I was in the shop the other day. And I'm liking the CNC'd brackets/mounts
  13. Yeah they are close. Now its just me that has to improve. I'm letting the machine down and not the other way Easiest to just buy a welder and practice, there is no substitute for it. Cheers, Ariel
  14. Yeah your right, the donor car is in waiting ready to cop an engine bay full of aluminium goodness
  15. Here is a photo of one of my customers cars, Matthew Grace. Described in an article as "a giant-killing Datsun 1200" Matt took out the Sports GT-B class in Tasmania this and is currently being rebuilt after an accident ready to back it up in 2012. Good luck Matt!!! http://pbckt.com/pE.uZoKGP
  16. Less reservoirs and more wiring so I can become a sponsor and offer these products to the sau community
  17. Yeah I have. I am just waiting on mine to be finished with the engine conversions and then I am going to do a hole heap of stuff for 32's. I have already done them already for vl's and I can't see them bring all that different.
  18. Spewing I packed up the tools just after calling you. I will get it ready tomorrow night and drop it off on Monday if that's not too late? If it is, let me know and we can sort something out
  19. Haha Brad lol I can have one knocked up tonight and ready to drop off tomorrow. You going to be around?
  20. They are wiper bottles and coolant overflows for vl's. Yeah the rb26 is still underway. Just trying to sort out some stuff with suppliers which is proving a little harder then expected since it is such a customised and detailed request.
  21. Nice touch with the purging!!
  22. Nice work Darren. Are they fused together? Just in case it seems like a probing questions, there is no problem with that at all and by the looks of it the joints were quite good to get that result. Cheers, Ariel
  23. Just a few of a couple of things I done on the weekend. I think I have got this new welder dialled in....just some minor things I needs to polish up on but it's good progress in my eyes. Happy welding, Ariel
