Hi guys, I am currently selling my pride and joy to go, need the cash for family purposes. Its a 2001 VII i've bought from the auctions last November. It was grade 4.5 with 23,500km. At the moment the car has 32,000kms. The car is in really good nick and had a really easy life. Serviced every 5,000 by gents at TechSport and washed/polished by myself every 2-3 weeks with weekend drives. No mods done to the car. Comes with alarms and an MP3 enabled Sony CD. Will also through in a set of Ferodo's 3000 used only twice. I'd love to, mate, but im looking for something a bit younger then that, hence all my thinking. I want something relatively fast, uncommon and young.

Guys, I am still deciding on what car to buy, i still have time though, so its alright! First, i was thinking R32 GTR, but then people on this forum changed my mind. Now i am debating between 98/99 R34 GT-T or a 00/02 S15. Both could be bought for around 30k mark. What do you guys think? I like S15, but it only has 147kw and everyone drives them. At the same time, it would be a much younger car compared to '98 GT-T. Any comments, please! Cheers, Vlad.

Duncan, but you do have a GTR now! And i really do not like whales! I would rather get a GTR, look after it, drive it like it is, save up and mod it later. But it is just the fact of driving a GTR! :drooling: I've been dreaming about it for last couple of years!) And if the worst comes to worst, i will find money to fix it. hopefully it will not happen!

Guys, thanks heaps for all your replies! I was thinking about importing a 92-93 GTR under SEVS. i figured a little bit fresher car, with less k's hopefully, plus there is more choice over there. i am after a black one in particular, but for some reason there seems to be very few of them in Oz. But as you've all said, i'll keep my eyes open both on Oz papers and websites, and an auction in Japan or something.

so what should i do? if i do decide to import one, which is a prefered way for me, should i take it to a mechanic right away and get it all checked out? like compression test, maybe take the head off and have a good look, check turbos? would that keep me on a safer side? man, it is very tempting to get a GTR, but so far only people with more or less painful experiences have replied, so that is putting me down just a bit! :looney:

a questio for all of you guys who drive R32s. Is it a viable option for someone on a budget? i will have no more then $30k to spend on a car, i am thinking about importing R32 GTR. should fit my budget. but the question is, what is the general condition you get for a 32 model? i mean the car is arount 13-15 years old, so it is ...old! I dont want to buy a car and spend more money fixing it. i know there is always risk of something going wrong, even with brend new cars, but generally speaking. hope my question makes sence!
