Chasing a replacement glovebox lid for R34 GTT... ... Some bugger put 7 screw holes in the one I have
-
Hey people, Was wondering if it would be feasible to modify a catback exhaust which was originally off a 32 GTR, to fit a 33 GTST (series 1)? Is there anyone on here who has attempted to do this? (and even better, anyone who has succeeded? ) Any thoughts on whether it's even worth attempting would be appreciated... It was purchased quite cheap so any modification costs should offset the purchase price Cheers.

Item: R32 GTR 5zigen db fireball catback exhaust Details: 3 inch 2 piece system. Slip-joint connection between front and rear sections. System incorporates resonator and rear muffler so has a nice note but is not super-loud. Condition: reasonably good (except for scrape on bottom of rear muffler) Price: $250 o.n.o... prefer Brisbane pickup, but will definately freight interstate (at buyers expense)... To give you an idea - freight to Melbourne (Altona) would cost an extra $40. Reason for selling: Bought it because I was told it would fit a 180 without much drama (what a load of bullsh!7). Please pm me or call/sms 0404 089 369 for details.

Nightcrawler - make sure you post up a pic when they're painted Stan, what's the latest on availability of the CF and FG eyelids and bonnet lip for a 34 GTT - are there pics around of a CF set fitted? I'm tossing up whether to go CF or FG (and get them painted black to match my car). -
Satanic - Here is a bit more info that I received from Alex yesterday... "These products take some 200 + hours to develop and we only want to recover material costs ( alloy , machining , silicone and clamps etc ), with no labour charges, which includes all new intercooler plumbing as well. We only do approx 5 - 10 dyno runs right at the end to double check our work. Remember - Good things take time - The rest comes from China "

From what Plazmaman were saying that time won't all be for dynoing - they need to take quite a bit of time to make sure everything fits where it should. I understand that they would use the R33 plenum as a guide (as they have already put r&d time into that design) but needs some tweaking to fit in a 34 engine bay. Satanic - I'm sure they wouldn't mind you contacting them for more info regarding what's involved in testing. Unfortunately I didn't go into much detail about that side of things due to me not being able to use my own car.

Hey people, Just posted up a new topic on the NSW section... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=151961 Does anyone have any mates in NSW who might be able to help out? ... I so badly want one of those plenums
-
I have been speaking to Plazmaman about their vehicle specific plenums as I want one for my 34... The only problem is that they need a donor car for 4-6 weeks in order to design and manufacture one that measures up to their standards. I would do this myself, but as I live in Brisbane, it is not physically possible. It is with this in mind that I'm canvassing interest for someone in Sydney to leave their car with Plazmaman so that all 34 owners can benefit from your generosity To offset the inconvenience of not having your car for that period of time, Alex from Plazmaman advised that they are prepared to offer the plenum to the person who leaves their car with them, at half the recommended retail price ($1195 approx.)... so you'd look at paying around $600 instead! Please note: this deal will only apply to the person who gets in first and agrees to leave their car with them. Being Sydneysiders you would no doubt be aware of the quality of work that comes out of Plazmaman and the R&D that goes into their products and also the dyno/race proven results. If you are interested, please contact Alex at Plazmaman by email at: [email protected] Web address for product info (this page is a R33 specific plenum): http://www.plazmaman.com/shop/index.php?ac...m&itemId=17 Just in case anyone was wondering, I don't gain anything out of this except the opportunity to purchase one of the plenums when they become available. Cheers.

I've been going through exactly the same dilemma with my 34 so it's great to hear everyone's opinions Has anyone seen any other photos of the R34 specific kit from Trust? On that website it is described as a Trust item but I was sure that the end tanks are different to the one pictured The V-spl is my pick at the moment... only for the fact that with a front facing plenum (which I am going to buy shortly), the cold side of the piping is only about 500mm long and a long way away from the exhaust, etc. However, if I was going to retain the stock plenum, the ARC cooler is an awesome choice.

Item: 4 x R34 GTT alloy wheels (standard fitment) with tyres. Details: 5 x 114.3 PCD. Condition: Rims are in good condition (some superficial gutter rash but due to the colour is barely noticible) and have all four centre caps. Tyres have about 60% tread and were grippy when I had them on the car. Two are Falkens, other two are Goodyears. Price: $600 neg. Location: Brisbane northside. Other: Would prefer Brisbane pickup but could freight at buyers expense if need be. Please pm me or call/sms 0404 089 369 for any other details.

I'm with MMM on this one.

Sounds about right... Mine's putting out 186 rwkw @ .8 bar on a safe tune with the following mods (also runs 13.9 down the strip @ 100mph on a crap 60ft): Apexi pod filter Power FC Blitz EBC Front pipe High flow cat Cat back zorst ... running standard SMIC and turbo though and wouldn't even contemplate boosting any higher than .8 bar without a turbo that can cope with it. Cheers.

Will be there fo sho! ... past my bed-time, but

Hi people, I haven't had the car for long but have decided it's time to let the beast go... Details: •2001 model (series 2) •Rare factory 5 speed manual •Black pearl duco •Nismo LM GT4 18 inch wheels •Factory option Nismo kit •Electric dual mode sunroof •Recaro bucket seats •Xenon headlights •65,000 kms Power FC Blitz ID3 electronic boost controller Apexi pod filter Catco 5 inch highflow cat Reinhard catback exhaust Reinhard front pipe Very well looked after (always garaged). Complianced in January this year and was grade 4B on the auction sheet and was imported with no modifications whatsoever (all mods have been done within the last few months). Made 185 rwkw @ .8 bar on Mercury’s dyno (shootout mode) and was advised at the time that it was a safe tune (therefore potentially a lot more horsepower can be had at the expense of fuel economy). Have taken to Willowbank once and ran a 13.9 @ 100 mph last week. Asking price is $34,900 ONO… it won’t disappoint Located on Northside of Brisbane, mobile number is 0404 089 369 Cheers, Chris. ************* Pics up soon **************

Dale!!!... You're not are you? I think Alex's 127 mph pass last night got you a little excited hey? I have heard about this car and you must buy it!
-
Good to meet you too Dale... Was a very good night (except for the oildowns!) I ended up running 13.96 @ 100mph so I got the time I was after. Were some impressive times last night: 'Easy St' R32 GTR ET: 10.9 seconds Marty (STZ automotive) SR20 powered celica ET: 11.6 seconds Alex (GT Auto garage) R33 GTR ET: 12.0 @ 127 mph! (was definately bogging down off the line and falling off boost + struggling for traction on boost) - looking forward to seeing some low 10 second passes soon!
-
Was just walking out of the fish'n'chip shop on the corner of gympie road and robinson road... Didn't think you would have seen me, my 34 was parked behind the bushes.
-
Spotted 510GTR yesterday on Robinson road, Aspley... very nice ride and a sweet exhaust note
-
12 flat ??? Nah... seriously mid to high 13s would be good. I've run a 14.1 @ 100 mph on a 2.3 second 60 foot... so if I can get my 60 foot times down, high 13s should be realistic. ... Mods are EBC, power FC, pod filter, high-flow cat, and catback exhaust... Everything else is stock (standard SMIC and standard turbo).

Tried that one last time... Asked if I could leave my jerry can near the scrutineering desk and they basically said it may not be there when I got back... Luckily for me it was and I had enough fuel to get home
