  1. Just wondering if anyone from SAU is going to the 7 to 11 test and tune tomorrow night? I did have a few mates who were going but it appears they are now wearing skirts and don't want to go... Need to organise a bunch of people to cruise out with Also wanting to know if there will be anyone who has a support crew who wouldn't mind looking after my spare tyre, tools etc when I'm racing Cheers.
  2. Stock speedo will still be ok... Unless you actually want to know what speed you're doing? In which case the hand controller can give you a speed reading (although very difficult to read while you are travelling at that speed). Must say it's little scary to see the needle bang against the stopper (Of course it was on a racetrack ) I must say (despite some other people's opinions) that a power fc is a good mod early in the piece for an R34. I had some flat spot issues when I installed my EBC which were completely eliminated with the power pc. As for the Z32 afm... It's really not necessary, as the resolution of the stock 34 one is very good. Here's a list of my mods: Apexi power filter Blitz id3 EBC Catco 5 inch cat Reinhard cat back exhaust Power fc Made 185 rwkw on a 'safe tune' as the mechanic said he didn't want to lean on it too much as the stock SMIC starts to struggle around these power figures (I have since heard that the stock cooler is good for 200 rwkw but who knows really). Give Ivan a call at Hi-power racing at slacks creek - very happy with the reinhard exhaust and it only cost $750... Cat was purchased through a GB on this forum. Cheers.

  8. Have a look in 'group buys' - there was a deal in there for Catco cats recently. Send him a pm and you may still be able to get one for the GB price (around the high 300 dollar mark If I remember correctly) From what I hear they are very good... Will most likely purchase one myself

  11. Yeah - neo32 is on the money... 45 degrees is the rule. As for the previous post about the distance being 45 metres... I think I would need binoculars to see it from that far away even at 90 degrees ... Spose, my eyesight isn't that great though, LOL.
  12. Dump pipes/exhaust systems are dutiable (10%)... Make sure you don't get confused between tax and duty though. Duty is a revenue and GST is... well... a tax. GST is calculated on: The value of the goods + the cost of overseas transport + the insurance (allow .25 % of the cost and freight usually) + duty applicable Of course if the value is under $1000, then the above is irrelevant - always good to know though so you don't get any nasty suprises.

It should sail though customs as long as the free on board value is under $1000 Even if it was over $1000, an ECU is duty free anyway - you'll still be up for gst and associated entry charges though.   14. Good to see nothings changed... Haven't lived in Hoppers for over ten years, and they were pretty keen on pulling over modified cars back then. Mind you, doing burnouts in Watton St was pretty silly
  15. Definately use genuine Nissan... I think around $30-$40 dollars was what I paid for mine (but don't quote me )... not sure what the brass washers were worth but they are definately worth replacing also. If you're re'using your old manifold - make sure you check it hasn't warped... Neally fell into the trap of replacing the turbo and gasket without checking the manifold on my 180 and the machine shop advised me that there was nearly .8mm warpage across the surface!
  16. What other mods are you running? It's long shot... but maybe your exhaust/cat won't cope with the extra boost pressure? I just put a decent exhaust on my 34 and the flat spot I had, seems to have gone
  17. Hey people, I am selling my jetski (regretfully) to finance new mods to my skyline. Details are: - 2000 model Seadoo RX millenium edition. - 130hp Rotax engine - had the ski up to 106 km per hour on flat water - 92 hours use. Comes with 2 x life jackets (1 x large, 1 x X-large) and jetpilot wet shoes (size 9). Other details include: galvanised trailer, new battery, rego on ski and trailer until October 06.   18. I'm amazed there are so many people with the same problem. I thought I was the only one!? Tried just about everything... the only thing that remotely helped the idle problem was blocking off the return line - not a long term fix obviously - 100+ psi is not good for injectors. I will try tomorrow - got nothing to loose I spose... willing to try anything at this stage.
