Over the last few months I have been researching and developing a new concept for international drift coverage. A website that gathers the hottest drift media from across the interwebs, aiming to bring the world-wide drift community together by sharing photo galleries, youtube and vimeo footage, write-ups and event coverage. Part of this concept is something that particularly interests me, and that is the CLOG. Clogs are your traditional 'car log' build threads, most of you may have one or possibly mutiple build threads across multiple enthusiast websites. Splitfires are shit these days, mine have done exactly the same, swapped them out for stockers and my intermittant miss magically disappeared. Although stockers still arnt good enough for higher boost so it's onto plan C...

VERY well put Sneeza! Made me imagine being a cop, driving back to station from a more serous crime, pulling some dude over in a modified car, with no permits, and having to deal with attitude. You'd slap a yellow on, sigh, and keep on driving back to the station without a second thought. Although arn't deticatated traffic cops around for the pure reason of dealing with traffic issues and nothing more?

yea i know what your saying, there are dickhead cops out there and there are good cops out there, its a fact that will never change. If it happens to me again I will let them search the car but will walk up to the guys partner and politely ask him the legalities of what they are doing. I've reserved myself to only asking for the cops details if they begin to show me cheek, if you do it before you cop the cheek, its insukting to them... When i got my yellow i knew it was gonna happen, and i actually said to them "yea i understand the situation and it is probably fair that i cop the yellow as I havn't exactly done the right thing and get permits", they respected that and i got out of there nice and quickly. They only wrote 'pod filter' on the thing which in the eyes of a pit inspector, is a hell of alot better than the other things they could have got me for. Thing is though, i asked the pit inspector if i could get permits, he told me they were pointless and that getting them was a waste of time. So i shall simply tell that to the next cop that tries to sticker me, if he tries to justify himself I'll tell him WHY the inspector thinks permits are pointless. Because no matter how many you have, cops regularly blatently ignore the permits, or they will just get you for something else, kinda defeats the whole purpose of permits doesn't it!

yea, cops always yoink em when they find them, abuse of power dammit!

if they have reason to believe you may be hiding something, they can search your car on the spot. When i got my yellow i grabbed my stash and shoved it in my back pocket as i got out of the car, they decided to search my car while they were at it, thank god for quick thinking!

hey guys, installed a sard FPR myself on the weekend but havnt been able to find anywhere with a cheapy fuel pressure gauge that i can tap into the fuel line with, adjust the FPR to 38psi, and be happy :\. Anyone know where i can get a gauge??? I dont want a wanky in-car gauge or anthing, just something that can sit in the engine bay somewhere.

after i got a sticker for my pod i took my car over the pits and also had to change the engine rego from CA18 to RB20. so after spending bulk on my engine conversion, now with the usual mods (pod, zaust, fmic, catch cans, bov, stainless radiator, etc), my car also has coilovers and whatnot, so after he told me he was gonna pull the licky off and rego my new engine (with next to no hassel mind you, he actually called another assesor over to show him why i got the licky and then show him my pod setup, they both had a good laugh and went on about the usual f**king cops sending em bullshit f**king reasons). Anyway i decided to do the right thing and ask if i could get permits for everything and his response was simple, "nah you don't need permits". Seems like his attitude was 'if the f**king cops are gonna disregard em anyway, why bother writing em out in the first place'.

Hey guys, i have an RB20DET onevia, and ever since i upgraded to a bosch 910 fuel pump i've had issues starting it. Basically, it turns over fine, and the fuel pump is hissing away, and you can feel fuel flowing through the lines into the fuel rail, but, it struggles to actually fire the engine to get it going. It was bearable at first, taking 2 or 3 tries but then starting ok, but its getting worse and worse, im now searching for a new starter motor cause the current one is almost worn out. I've been spraying a little aerostart into the intake and then starting her and she kicks over fine, so the spark is obviously there... Once running, i don't have any issues, the engine runs fine (except for it sometimes going into limp mode for a few secs when i take her over 5k, but the car is currently untuned so i think its just running off the map). Anyway, what do you reckon it could be? i would say fuel pump but once running it delivers fuel fine, wtf?
