    Two Tribes

two tribes...one of the better commercial shows Id go but I dont take drugs anymore so I wouldnt enjoy it as much
  2. they didnt want media attention basically, after all the last thing we ALL need is another front page headline along the lines of "P plater in japanese turbo car injures himself and others at street racing"
  3. Dont believe everything you read They got aggressive with the cops because they didnt want the polic and media butting in, they wanted to take care to the situation themselves, not have a public spectacle made of it
  4. Im 25 now, but when I got my insurance for my current car last year I was a rating 3 and paid $2k a year, I might want to get it re assessed, as Im now 25
  5. advertise them on nissansilvia.com. Im sure someone there would want em lol@the db reading what do you expect man? you do have a T78 after all
  6. thats the thing dude, you are being done for something like "Suspected of having a faulty exhaust" not actually "having a faulty exhaust", so they dont really need to be to certain that your car is over the limit, they leave that to your local noise tester

    Leaving VIC!

good luck up in qld dude
  8. lol, I dont use aircon anyway, its for pussies, and it guzzles gas if I ever do need to use it, Ill just use the setting that sends the air through the lower vents Defis are in now, but I need to get an adpater plate for the sensors, it should be going in the car next week, will take some pics when its done, and the defis are fully operational
  9. good choice on the R34 style mount Ant My gauges are going in today, Ill take some pics over the next few days and post em up
  10. completely understandable Ant I was thinking of doing either a pillar or dash mount, but decided not to because: 1. I didnt want to put any holes cut into the car and 2. Didnt want unecessary defect attention from the cops. As far as I know, you can mount them wherever you want to, as long as it doesnt obstruct your driving vision, so I guess its debatable whether the dash mount cluster obstructs your vision or not, having said that you are basically at the whim of the defect happy victorian police, so its better not to risk it I guess....but off hand Id say the dash cluster is the best and possibly most legal option for the R33
  11. Hi Greg, While my car was getting the gearbox fixed, I had a Pulsar ST for a few days, its easy to drive, gets great fuel economy, easy to park, etc. Great little car, in fact the only negative thing I can say about it is that it gets a bit scary when you take up to 160 km/h, but otherwise its fine -Sam
  12. hey Ant, yer its been a while, how ya been? Yup thats exactly what Im talking about, the mounting cluster on the left of the steering wheel, I was thinking about getting one of those, but the gauges fit perfectly in my center vents, and are nice and visible there as well
  13. hey Ant, Ive been having similar problems trying to figure out where to mount my gauges, and have come to the conclusion that Im going to mount them in the air vents. You might want to invest in a dash mounting cluster thingy, and keep on the inner edge in the middle of the dash, as this wont obstruct your vision, thus making it nice and legal, as well as visible
  14. spot on dude, as I said earlier
  15. but wheres the fun in that?
  16. thanks Yorik, I guess their Arms turbos will be the same, engineered for mid range
  17. Someone I know, lets call him Mr X had a discussion recently with the EPA about this whole situation, and Mr X was told by the EPA that the police and the EPA are targetting imports, and their collective goal is to RID Victoria of ALL imports, so watch out boys, they are after blood now, and they will get it....maybe we should all get shitboxes for the moment and leave our cars in the garage for a while.........
  18. shame to see you go Rob, you contribute a lot, and it will be missed
  19. I was wondering does anyone have any feedback about various Tomei bits and pieces? Particularly the pistons, rods, Head gasket, solid pivots, rocker stoppers and turbos they make? From other sources I have gathered that their internals are very strong, as are most of the other parts, but no one seems to know much about their turbos, which according to their website have sharp response, flat torque character, and the highest peak power which sounds very interesting, as Im not very interested in lag or huge power, just response and torque so does anyone know anything about Tomei parts? SK??
  20. a certain infamous copper whose name I wont mention recently told a mate of mine "We are targetting all imports", and since skylines seem to get the most press and into the most accidents, they went after you, wrong place at the wrong time dude, there are also rumours that they may introduce laws to confiscate our cars as well, so watch out
  21. nah Im very polite to them, Ive never been rude to a cop I hate to say it, but its race that comes into it too
  22. well sorry, but thats what they do
  23. they have the power to do what they please when they please, thanks steve I have heard of people being defected for things like "Washer bottle not full" and "scratch on windscreen" They f*ck you without using lube and you have to say thank you when its all over :ghost:
  24. sounds like a good cruise for a good cause, but Ill still wager a christmas ham that everyone will get EPA's and possibly defects.....
  25. "Victoria - we defect you...because we can" "Victoria - Im Steve Bracks bitch" "Victoria - the worlds most unliveable city"
