  1. gts4 stock brakes are the same as the gtst brakes.
  2. Ok, I am having the exact same symptoms as seeyagtr now that I have my new turbos on.. Does anyone have any further idea?
  3. How do you do this? Is it only in datalogit or can you access this from the hand crontroller. For those with large dia bosses for small dia sensors, I picked up a pair of adapters from the local exhaust mob for about $35, screwed straight in. Pity that one of my original sensors looks like it didn't like being removed and replaced, or was dead previously without me knowing.
  4. don't be a cheapass, buy new ones.
  5. I paid the 'lets rebuild a whole car from munted' tax for the good bits it came with, plus the graffiti, rust, wiring nightmare etc..
  6. Quick question, how do you know it is the pump? Regularly failing like that after start it sounds like the failsafe condition where the steering goes hard when there is a fault with the control system. Have you completed a hicas diagnostic? What did it show? (If you didn't know the hicas and power steering control systems are combinedin the one controller, a problem in either system will cause this symptom).
  7. I have been told that the gtr34 dumps are a lot better than the 32 or 33 dumps and it wouldn't make much difference if they were changed. Might be the case in your situation, may not either.. Personally I like the look and design of the trust set, but that could be a pain to fit, or the mines or tomei or hpi dumps with an applicable front pipe. For my car a second hand set of mines dumps and apexi front pipe were the go, 400 for the set I thought was pretty good. Might be an idea to look around as well for you as decent stainless parts won't really wear out.
  8. Since you, presumably, paid for the work you should have recieved a dyno log when done. Otherwise just pick up the phone, ring your tuner and ask him, no point any randoms trying to guess what you made other than for self gratification..
  9. What is the verdict on reusing the old flywheel bolts, advisable or not?
  10. Not meaning to sidetrack this at all but a semi-relevant question.. Roy, What do you think are the biggest brakes to fit on the front of a gtst/gts4 under a 17x8 rim (unsure of offset but all inside guard)? Currently I am running r32 gtr sumitomos with 296 rotors. I am thinking of going to dogbones and 324 rotors with these callipers.. do you have an opinion on this? James.
  11. 25/60r turbos
  12. I know it has been posted previously, but have you done a hicas diagnostic? What were the results?
  13. Makes me kind of happy that I haven't ditched the ancient TwinSBC out of my car and gone for something prettier.. which means anything else.
  14. Another thanks for being the guinea pig, also was looking at these.
  15. My trust one feels like it leaves a nice circular burn in your palm on a summers day, I have a stubby holder i throw over it when parked.
  16. Sounds like a comprehensive way of testing them, thanks for the answer.
  17. I know this might be a bit off-topic, but how have you tested the 'breakdown' of the coil pack? Are you just testing the insulation of the module, or are you injecting a known voltage at a known dwell time and measuring the output variance? Have you tested both at normal settings and seen any difference in output generated?
  18. Uh.. Viscious center diff in what? I think you might be a little bit confused mate. Nothing viscous about the gtr / gts4 drivetrain.
  19. Thanks for the responses, just flew back in tonight. shanef, thanks for the confirmation, it just won't run with those. geetr, tried it multiple times thinking it was a finger fault. R34kid, it might be considered rude for me to ring them as I have decided to take my car to cypher instead, i'll ring there and ask.
  20. DIY leper all the way. Add that to the list, Rewiring the cluster, 044 intank with custom machined fittings, fitting the turbos completely opposite to what the service manual says, coil pack repairs, etc.. If you use common sense, think about what you are doing, and are prepared to replace any parts that you break along the way you can't go wrong. Only things I have gotten others to do is fit the suspension (pain and it needs to be adjusted then), and to fit the clutch and tune it. I really don't like the idea of that heavy gearbox under the car in my shed.. bad enough when I was playing with the old single rail and t5's.
  21. Hello, I am having a few issues with getting my engine to idle nicely with these new injectors installed. Base fuel rail pressure set. Maf settings in for the nismo afm's. Correction settings Used 55% through to ~80%, richer makes it better, but without the latency fudge it won't idle. The problem is with latency. Mathematically it should be 63% and 0.19 (confirm correct?), this won't even think about idling. Winding the latency adjustment out to ~0.80 and it idles and sounds a lot better.. but I have never heard about having to adjust it this far. Why is this? Any ideas? Default pfc map by the way. Thanks for any suggestions. James.
  22. It could also depend on the adapter in the ext hdd case.. The latest one I bought when installed in a comp comes up as just another disk, whereas a usb thumbdrive is recognised as an external device.
  23. What guess work? What fitting issues? Stock parts will obviously fit.. cast manifolds less likely to crack, gtr manifolds are reckoned to flow more than enough for any street oriented use, cost is free compared to megabuck jap manifolds (other than a few cutting bits).. Win / win I think. Even better the stock heat shields bolt on so it is as if it was never done. Although that is a downside, it looks as if nothing was ever done even after all the hard work fitting those buggers.
  24. Tom, what rb26s13 said.. mine were sold as 2860-5's came tagged as 2560, doesn't matter as long as the cartridge is labbelled 707160-5.. or if you get the 2860-7's 707160-7's.. Stock manifold mates up fairly well to the inlet flange on the stockers. There is a little bit in it, but nowhere near the extent that it needs to be hogged out to match up with aftermarket replacements. Bugger paying someone to do it though, throw it in a bench vise, use the gasket to scribe a mark and have at it, neaten up once done. James.
