R32 GTS-T vs GTS-4 comparison articles
Baz replied to wantsanr32's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
For an "expert" opinon check out these two threads. They did a comparasion on the autospeed website. R32 GTS-T - http://autospeed.drive.com.au/A_0853/page1.html R32 GTS-4 - http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_1289/article.html As for handling, handling comes down to how well a car pulls through a corner. The GTS-T will pull through a corner much more quickly due it lower weight and its centre of gravity being much more pulled towards the rear of the car. Where the GTS-T would fail is if the tyres begun to lose grip and this is where the 4WD overcomes it. But retain traction with good quality tyres and the GTS-T will pull out just as quick. One thing you also have to realise is that the GTS-4 is not a constant 4WD system like the WRX's or EVO's and therefore doesn't have the same sort of failsafe driving manner that is present in the constant systems. -

I wouldn't reccomend this conversion for the light hearted who wasn't prepared to spend a lot more money upfront over a GTR. If you wanted to buy a car solely for making it into a fast car buy a GTR. The four door conversion is just so much more unique and the RB26 seems to (in theory) fit in really easily. And plus being different is a good thing -

Pricewise there almost exactly the same. The GTS4 is probably harder to locate though -

Setting the suspension up properly with a few minor mods and that will not be the case. I have already fixed the understeering problem. Actually probably oversteers more than would be suitable for a track car but it is so much fun. It wont understeer because its a 4WD over a 2WD but disable the 4WD system and I imagine all the weight at the front due to the 4WD drivetrain would make it far worse than the handling of a GTST. -

Buy a Four door GTS-4 and put an RB26DETT in it and PRESTO!! You have a four door GTR. A very cool and unique conversion to do, that not many people have done it (or had the money to do so). I have to agree 100% with Roy, hence why I bought the GTST instead of the GTS4 -
Adjustable Camber (Not Bushes)
Baz replied to eXc's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Mate that is a seriously bad camber problem on the front. What springs/ride height are you using? First thing I would be looking for is worn bushes, rods and balljoints. A camber issue like that would not be due to solely the lowering of a car. I would be if surprised the tyres have lasted longer than 6 months of driving. Rear camber isn't that great but probably due to the combo of larger diametre rims/tyres, tein suspension and a lower ride height if you have that. Toe also needs to be adjusted on the front but thats simpily done in most cases by adjusting the tie rods, same with rear toe (search the forum for optimum toe specs) I would suggest more things but after a big night I'm struggling to think atm -
How did you go about the piping? Did you buy a complete kit for it?

Got yellow sticker for the same thing, same area, same time. The fact is that cops are assholes. Just get permits for absolutely everything and it restricts to what they can actually get you for but if there out to get you they can do as they please and there's not much you can do to stop it. There arrogant and won't back down even when they know they are wrong, I know I had the same sort of argument over my pod filter and strut brace last saturday night. As for the number plate bending the number plate is actually illegal. Just buy a whole bunch of spacers so you don't have to bend your number plate in to fit.

Haha nah I'm not much of a fan of those rims. I'm pretty fussy when it comes to rims. There the rims from Cogs chop. Just want to see what they look like with just the rims on

Antilag on the way to the truck stop meet point Was good fun to watch.
-
They check EVERYTHING. It should say full inspection on your car. Damn it means im going to have to swap my cat convertor back from my straight through 3" pipe (yes hippies hate me, and is also highly illegal), seat and a couple of other things.

20k you've got to be joking. Btw did you end up selling the parts from your crashed car? You never PMed me back

If you turn the car off while moving, with your foot in on the clutch, if you turn the key to ignition and drop the clutch the car will start again. Makes it handy when you have a dead battery. Put your car into 2nd gear get a couple of mates to push you and drop the clutch and presto! Your car starts. Well thats that problem fixed. Not sure about your other issue. Check the forums, there are alot of threads on stalling issues

On the timing cover. That circle device that sits on the exhaust sprocket near the top. Can be spotted easily

Can someone chop my car just with the R34 GTR rims on it? Just want to see what it looks like with just the rims on it.
-
There were 3 police cars there and after everyone had gone through, I was one of the last to go through, so they all inspected my car. Would have only been setup as a station just for the cruise considering it was in the middle of nowhere.
-
By the looks of it that should polish out

Tuyen I also got a yellow sticker on that tonkin hwy cruise. Guess what I got a yellow for. 1. A pod filter that was securely fixed to the car via a bracket 2. A strut tower brace. This completely blew out of the water any respect I had for traffic cops at all. I had 7 cops inspecting my car. 3 checking out my boot and 4 checking my engine bay (oh sorry no they werent checking it, they were mearly warming there hands up). I was very calm and nice to them. I actually had a chat with one of the cops there who was on my side but there was one asshole who was leading the show. Now I wasn't doing anything wrong, wasn't speeding, wasn't angry and don't have any bizarre mods done to it. Just goes to show what a bunch of useless assholes they really are when they go widging how under staff they are when they need 7 cops to inspect my car. I'm sorry but I have now lost all faith Cheers Ps. Should I file a compliant and is there any way to have the sticker removed other than through the pits? Because they are both legal mods

Step by Step guide to getting your money back

Cheers Sumo, Yeah its not much fun at all. As I said before I am a pacient person but this has pushed beyond my pacience -
There are two guides that sit either side of the window to guide it up in place (because there is no door frame to hold it otherwise). Over time these wear away the soft foam padding to expose the plastic behind it, which then if not fixed leaves some very very nice deep scratches down the side of the window. Only way to propaply fix it is to remove the old foam and fit some new ones in. Grinding away the plastic will only allow the glass to move freely in the guide. Hope that helps. Cheers,

Damn cogs that looks hot. Not sure about the wing though but the front bar definately looks good on it. Oh yeah with the rims as well. Can't go past a set of R34 GTR rims

Baz replied to Baz's topic in General Automotive Discussion
No I never meant that I was going to deal with it personally or get mates to. I know that is a stupid thing to do and I have been caught out in a situation different to this. The only reason I posted this information was so I can link it from other websites to help other people, who are in the same issue as me. Its a bit of an incentive for Fidel then to get this done sooner. Refund me and all info will be removed from all websites I have posted it on. Been in contact with him and believes I will be refunded soon. We will see how this turns out. Cheers -

OK this has gone far enough. He has promised me dates 3 times and has broken his promise three. Please mods tell me if I am wrong but I am posting all of his details below and link the various sites to this thread so that people who have been screwed like me can do something about it. Details as below: *removed for the time being*
