  1. Only issue is that I don't believe all the modifications are listed on his brothers policy or not and I believe he is listed on his brothers policy though however.
  2. This morning at about 8am my mate driving his brothers car, not sure whos fault it was but managed to hit another car and did some serious damage to his car and the other car as well, the other car is rooted but his car does not seem that bad. Now my question is, that the car has had some pretty extensive modifications done to it. Putting in excess of 290rwkw. He is covered by full comprehensive insurance on the car.. but do the modifications done to it without permits void the insurance at all? I'm sure someone here has had experience of smashing up a modified car. Just want to see where he stands. All comments much appreciated Cheers,
  3. Looks like good fun! Doesnt beat the real thing though
  4. BAHAHAHAHA... Thats gold.. damn i need to learn how to make some graphics Rather than Paint chop
  5. If you don't mind the R32 and love frying tyres... Get one, drop an R33 RB25 and gearbox in it. Buy a Garrett GT35R, power FC and other supporting mods. Have about 380hp at the rear treads, have a shitload of torque and run low 12's. Then with the leftover money buy some nice rims, paint and possibly a kit. That should send you back about close to $20k. Not something you can buy upfront but certainly a car you will love to have Thats how I would spend 20k anyway..
  6. Put the fronts to 32psi and the rears to 40 psi and then go sick drifting nah seriously... I run all my tyres at 34psi. Have a play around with different tyre pressures and then see what suits your car/tyres best.
  7. Looks alright... Mind you its on a GTR by the looks of it.. not a GTS-T
  8. I would always run the same tyre as the one on the opposing side of the car to avoid pulling and braking problems. Last thing you need is a tyre to act in a manner different to the opposing tyre as anything could really happen.
  9. Understeer? You know that Gen 3's weigh approximately the same, if not less than a Rb25 dont you? And yes that is the street force R33, I see that car going to work everyday pretty much, they are thinking about stripping it down and putting the Gen III into an R32.
  10. As far as I know the Typhoons were only made in the 6 speed manual....
  11. There are plenty around. Just look for one with a two muffler setup, I had mine chopped out because it was much too quiet for my liking and does not drone much at all. If you have an auto though do a manual conversion and the should fix you problem.
  12. R32's run larger brakes calipers so I imagine the R32 one would be better.. but who knows they could be exactly the same.
  13. It really depends on the rim size that you are running on the rear to whether a 205 width tyre would fit. But I dont think you have the slightest chance in hell of fitting one on. The rim width would have to be less than 7" wide in order to be able to have a chance of fitting it on and considering you have 255's on the rim I would think it would be 8" wide or more than likely wider than that. When working out profile sizes of tyres, the second number is the profile worked out as a percentage of the tyre width. So in your example - - A 255 width tyre, 40% of 255 is 102 - A 235 width tyre, 45% of 235 is 105.75 These are both of a similar profile so it is a suitable match for the car for front and rear. A 205 width tyre, 40% of 205 is 82 which has a substantially less profile height. So even if you could fit that tyre on that rim it has a much smaller profile so it wouldnt be suitable to your setup. Good drifting/burnout tyre though. Cheers,
  14. You are looking at like 20k+ in modifications to coming even close to reaching a figure like that in a GTR. If you want to run an 11, best bang for buck, buy an old corolla or mazda and put a 13B in it.. then you will be laughing...
  15. Holy Fark! 1080nm of torque! I wouldn't mind taking that thing drifting
  16. XR6 Turbos are bloody fast cars with loads of potential that is easily unlocked with a couple of basic modifications. Probably not the most suitable car for track work or cornering but they certainly go hard in a straight line. Only problem is that some people who own them are ego seeking maniacs who think there car is god lined up against anything else and hence where the "bogan commodore" stereotyping falls in line with them. And they always want to make sure people know that there car is potentially quick...
  17. Ok next thing will be some new rotors on the list then. Installed with some new pads as well...
  18. Just curious at what stage, would you get your rotors machined? My car has pads which have just eaten away at the rotor and has left a 5mm lip around the outside of the disc. Now as far as I know you should only machine rotors when you begin to get brake shudder. My car doesn't get any brake shudder at all. Do they require machining for any other reason than of brake shudder?
  19. Can't be assed using old ones... Got a set coming for $26 each... problem solvered
  20. Move out to somewhere without P plater restrictions and buy a real skyline
  21. Because I have a set of R33 one's easily attainable and i really can't afford to buy new ones at this stage.
  22. Can anyone confirm with me whether R33 tie rod ends can fit an R32? Thanks,
  23. Had my car imported required a steam clean and I thought fair enough.. Put it up on the hoist, was checking around the car. Gave the rear bumper a bit of a bash and a bit of sand and grass feel out. So much for thorough cleaning and decent quarantining. Oh yeah and they swung $330 odd dollars for cleaning the entire car.
