  1. If you don't mind the R32 and love frying tyres...

Get one, drop an R33 RB25 and gearbox in it. Buy a Garrett GT35R, power FC and other supporting mods. Have about 380hp at the rear treads, have a shitload of torque and run low 12's. Then with the leftover money buy some nice rims, paint and possibly a kit. That should send you back about close to $20k. Not something you can buy upfront but certainly a car you will love to have :P

Thats how I would spend 20k anyway..

  2. Understeer? You know that Gen 3's weigh approximately the same, if not less than a Rb25 dont you? And yes that is the street force R33, I see that car going to work everyday pretty much, they are thinking about stripping it down and putting the Gen III into an R32.

  3. Homosexuals? An AUTO BF typhoon is currently the quickest 1/4 mile and 0-100 KM/H Aussie muscle car available! It beats manuals with more KW hands down... this not only goes for Falcons but for HSVs and even some Euros also! In a drag I rather an auto, with twisties then manual...

Putty, if you want an auto tip tronic then go for it...

As far as I know the Typhoons were only made in the 6 speed manual....

  4. Does anyone have a quiet 3 in cat back on their 32's if so what are they my one is way too droney

There are plenty around. Just look for one with a two muffler setup, I had mine chopped out because it was much too quiet for my liking and does not drone much at all. If you have an auto though do a manual conversion and the should fix you problem. :P

  5. It really depends on the rim size that you are running on the rear to whether a 205 width tyre would fit. But I dont think you have the slightest chance in hell of fitting one on. The rim width would have to be less than 7" wide in order to be able to have a chance of fitting it on and considering you have 255's on the rim I would think it would be 8" wide or more than likely wider than that.

When working out profile sizes of tyres, the second number is the profile worked out as a percentage of the tyre width.

    So in your example -

    - A 255 width tyre, 40% of 255 is 102

    - A 235 width tyre, 45% of 235 is 105.75

These are both of a similar profile so it is a suitable match for the car for front and rear.

A 205 width tyre, 40% of 205 is 82 which has a substantially less profile height. So even if you could fit that tyre on that rim it has a much smaller profile so it wouldnt be suitable to your setup. Good drifting/burnout tyre though.

    Cheers,

  6. XR6 Turbos are bloody fast cars with loads of potential that is easily unlocked with a couple of basic modifications. Probably not the most suitable car for track work or cornering but they certainly go hard in a straight line. Only problem is that some people who own them are ego seeking maniacs who think there car is god lined up against anything else and hence where the "bogan commodore" stereotyping falls in line with them. :O And they always want to make sure people know that there car is potentially quick...

  7. Just curious at what stage, would you get your rotors machined? My car has pads which have just eaten away at the rotor and has left a 5mm lip around the outside of the disc. Now as far as I know you should only machine rotors when you begin to get brake shudder. My car doesn't get any brake shudder at all. Do they require machining for any other reason than of brake shudder?
