S14a and skyline parts

I found the problem its seems i need the clutch adjusted, it only happens now and then but its pissing me off. I can see the rev's drop to about 100, then go back to 1000 without stalling. When its happening in 1st gear its hard to put it into neutral, hence the reason its the clutch, only happens for 1.000000123 secs! Mo Money, Mo Billz

Hi Guys! I think i'm having my first ever problem since getting my car. Yesterday afternoon on the way to work it stalled about 5 times for no apparent reason when stopping at traffic lights. First time i was coming to a complete stop with 2nd gear engaged and the revs dropped and nearly stalled, this is with the clutch fully pressed. Then the next times i gently shifted down to 1st to slow down and it stalled numerous times. I could be wrong but i think when i had the clutch pressed all the way maybe it wasn't un-engaging all the way.... again, i may be wrong... This all happened on the first 15km of my trip to work, the next 20km's after this nothing occurred. Then on the way home this morning '35' km's i tried to make it happen again to no avail. At first i thought the clutch 'heavy duty' needed adjustment, but there was no judder when stalling. (Not the BOV cause i put the stock one back on). I then started thinking diff, fuel pump and other more expensive things . I don't have time for awhile to visit a mechanic, so i guess your advice in the meantime will help nonetheless. Also, when on full boost the car is running fine, same as idle. Thanks for your help i know someone will know something. Cheers!

OT! Is your Skyline white? Did you come across a red s14 driving along pacific hwy, fullers rd, delhi rd last night? Cause the skyline i saw had 1 light working which had a funny colour to it! Cheers.

That sucks i couldn't cope with getting caught at that speed! When i got pulled over after doing 180 in a 90 zone i couldn't breath, but they said i was doing 30 over. Obviously they only saw me at the end of my run :burnout: They said it would be in the mail, 3 months later no friendly bills! I realised my stupidity and only speed in short bursts. If you speed everywhere you go you're bound to get caught alot!

I am interested in selling it, wondering what it is worth 2nd hand in new condition? What are they selling brand new now?

Used to be a BIG fan of the skyline

I think what he mean't to say was the Skyline is ever-popular as the Suzuki GTi, WRX etc was. Where most people buy into the ownership because it's the fad of the month. I can easily recognise a skyline owner that got it to be cool. They're really nice cars but i guess they're just not exclusive anymore. Cheers! -
If its double lines they broke the law, UNLESS they were entering a driveway. But its up to the court decide with their idiotic principles who caused the accident.. Good Luck!
-
Was the street double lined? Were they doing a 3 point turn or pulling into a driveway? Were you/they stationary when you/they collided? In either case it would be best to get a solicitor on the day. Cheers!

Seems to run same as before, although i did clean the coil packs too. Cylinder 1 & 2 plugs were a bit white-ish, need to get it on the dyno and fix the a/f ratio. I believe it runs rich at low revs and leans out at top. I get pinging every now and then, so i'll look into it. Since putting on the stock BOV, noise from my pod is basically non-existant. Which is weird because why would the BOV have any effect? Its basically 1/3 as loud as it was before. Cars running MUCH nicer with the plumback too!

Thanks alot! I was waiting for this reply Think i'll take your advice and be gentle with 'em. Cheers!

After putting my stock BOV back on i decided to check if my plugs had been fouled from it. I currently have NGK platinums and i can't tell if their dirty, and don't know how to clean them? Should i use a solution? This pic may not help but i just need to know if their 'black' or just their normal operating colour? They've only done about 20,000km and good for 100,000km. Pic of 1 plug Thanks yall!

As new condition, $150. Will fit any car, but it does come with an adapter for all SR20DET's and plug for return pipe if you have a Nissan. Selling because i refitted the stock item and trying to keep it quiet. Cheers! *Prefer Sydney buyer* Pic of my Type 2 BOV for sale

How can he possibly say it was your fault, when your vehicle has right hand + gutter damage? I couldn't see any cab driver owning up anyhow, they're all sly bastards!

I get about 600km to a 65l tank most times, and thats with booting it at every roundabout, lights, stop sign I once got 623km... But not many mods, turbo-back 3" zorst, pod, bov, 11psi. Funny thing is it's running quite rich with the odd flame out back! Can i crack 650? lmao. I feel bad for yall, sorry to rub it in..

I agree with everyones feedback, but what all this comes down to is they guess-timated my speed from a distance of 200m without radar using their speedo. These were general duties officers which could have estimated my speed incorrectly. At no time have i admitted doing 31 over, if i was it would be surprising. I'd think i was about 15-20 over at most. I am not nitpicking this fine, i believe without radar evidence or a nearby vehicle judging my speed it cannot be justified. Remember they were at best 200m behind me, thats half a 1/4 mile! My job relies on me being on the road up to 10hrs a day, up to 6 days a week. I probably travel 3 times more than the average person. Driving on 1 point is a huge gamble on my employment. Sorry for dragging this on guys, i appreciate all your feedback, as is why i posted here in the first place. All is not bad though, maybe it won't hit the mailbox Cheers!

Yes they took my licence and did a rego check. But they neglected to tell me my exact speed and didn't tell me how they got it.

Guys, got caught doing "31 over" in a 80 zone tonight 1am with no traffic.. As i turned right at an intersection there was headlights 200m behind me and i was casually closing in on about 100km/h or so i believe. The vehicle was at all times about 200m or more behind me til i saw it catching up slowly, so i started accelerating again slowly thinking it was cops and was looking for a quick getaway but i was not familiar with the area.. They flash their pretty lights from about 150m away and pull up (paddywagon) with 2 cops walking to my vehicle, breath test me, ask if i have any items in car etc.. They then advised me i was doing 31 over the limit and its automatic loss of license, they then asked me a series of questions and i put on a bit of a story telling him i only have 4 points, the driver then went back to his vehicle and ran my rego, then when he returned he said he considered my story and looked over my vehicle saying it doesn't look hoonish?!? then advised me he is ticketing me at over 15 but not 30. He then started talking to me about the road toll etc, and i advised him last night in the same area they pulled me over a highway patrol vehicle was doing 110 past me in a casual no-lights manner, and he said he receives alot of complaints but they cannot be verified...? So he then tells me he will send the ticket in a couple weeks so i can start saving to pay for it, (no reference was made to him about my finances) and they departed. What i am confused about is why wouldn't he write the ticket then and there? You already get 28 days to pay. At no point did he write anything down on paper, and they seemed to be alittle sympathetic due to my acting skills. Also, the ticket is not cheap but not many people need over 4 weeks to pay for it... Can they send you tickets without documentation/photos? The question that is killing me is, did i get off with a warning tonight? Did they try to scare me? Help me out guys! Knowing that i only have 1 point left means driving my car slow is a risk on its own. Also, it was a paddywagon, are these equipped with radar? I will be appealing this no matter what, but if they got the speed reading from their speedo with 200m distance i surely have a case. They didn't tell me my speed except 31 over, and i was too anxious i forgot to ask any more questions. Thanks guys for any help this is gonna keep me from sleepin! Cheers.

Prank where did you get yours done? Thanks.

Hey guys, I have a budget of around $1000 give or take for an exhaust on my S14, i know this isn't an ideal amount but i am after the best bang for the buck. How would i go about getting it turbo-back? I'm happy to settle for cat-back - as long as it doesn't sound like a lancer... . Will $1k be enough for a professionally fitted custom jobby? I am located on the North Shore but willing to travel for the best deal. Sorry for my limited knowledge i appreciate any help anyone can offer me. Cheers!

I'm looking for the cheapest CTP coverage possible, can anyone throw me some companies/numbers etc? I have a quote from Allianz which is $569, is this rather expensive? Thanks for any help, Cheers!
