  1. What did you end up doing? Don't tell us you did nothing and just accepted what happened!
  2. All good points, but you cant just compare Lewis's short career to that of Webbers and Buttons. Both Webber and Button have not started their career nor been in a team that has the potential to win week in week out. Its obvious he is going to score more points then someone who has been in struggling teams throughout their whole career.
  3. Don't take this shit. Both your work and panel beater can't just do what they want. Your work damaged the front and rear of your car. They pay for the front and rear of your car. They don't decide they will just pay for the back and not the front. A panel beater cant just choose a front bar that's not even what you wanted and then expect you to pay for it (without letting you know they cant get the original front bar). Write up a nice legal letter and kindly explain you will rim them in the asshole if they don't fix this bullshit of a job. There are options such as Victorian civil and administrative tribunal (VCAT) that you can deal with such disputes which doesn't cost and arm and a leg. Get things in writing also, write a letter to your work outlining what happened (they hit front AND rear of your car). Hopefully they will acknowledge that it happened and then you can use that against them to recoup all costs. I hate hearing terrible work practices such as this. The other thing that i really hate also are scum (your work) who damage things then refuse to pay/dont pay for the whole lot. Makes me angry reading your situation as you have done nothing wrong, yet you have been screwed over massively. You cant let them walk over you, its bad enough they hit your pride and joy TWICE, but to not pay all costs and then have an asshole of a panel beater is just rediculous.
  4. You made an ass of yourself by starting this thread. You're asking people over the internet if you made an ass of yourself because you drove normal and ignored a nob head driving on your ass... the question answers it self. No you didnt make an ass of yourself on the road, but you did here on the forums.
  5. haha?? impossible to give you an example... what car? Do you want that total to include car purchase price, agent fees, shipping etc? more details.
  6. Shame 3/4s of the field did not get a good stint, hard to tell who has pace and who doesnt with a race like the one today.
  7. Valid point, i was looking at it in terms of Nissan not bringing 50-100 at a time, rather 10 or so. I work for a shipping company and the transport costs are not really to bad, its all the other costs associated which can bump the price up considerably. If they were able to include it on their regular schedule then i think the 1 - 1.5k is realistic. I think your projected totals are pretty spot on and really 500-1000$ extra on the tport doesnt really matter in the scheme of things. Cheers.
  8. Shipping will easily be closer to 2.5k$ per car. Dont forget to include all the extras like load fees, discharge fees, customs, storage, transporting the car to the dealership etc etc... the actual tport cost from Japan to Australia would be 1-1.5k but all the extra costs add up.
  9. Did the winnings work out to be double time and a half per hour by the end of it? Or did you contribute to the double time and a half the dealer was getting?
  10. Sorry smashed and about to head out, maybe another time...
  11. I saw this at the melbourne motor show yesterday, this thing is an animal. Looks damn tough. The interior is very aggresive as well. The offset and the size of the wheels look awesome. I thought it was ok from the photos on here, but in real life its awesome.
  12. i think you got the right page... certainly sounds like girls anyways. haha awesome car though.
  13. where is clayton? Dont think its close as i dont know where it is.. isnt that western suburbs?
  14. maybe i cant remember, although now that i think about it it may be two tone... do you know who it is?
  15. Im in Bulleen.. pretty close. I know there is another greenish/blue r33 absolute tool living around my area, he constantly tries to drift when ever he notices a good looking car. He is easy to spot as he always has new panel damage and cant drive for shit.
  16. The woman was in the other car, apparently its a male aged in his 20's who was driving the GTR and is now in the hospital. The woman tried to do a u-turn in front of the GTR i read.
  17. Jesus get your head out of your ass... get over the whole ford vs holden thing. You dont have to constantly put everything down about Holden. It sounds like you think Ford is the best thing on this planet going by your other threads/posts, stop being so narrow minded. Ford and Holden have both good points and bad points, as does every car on the market.
  18. Your car won’t necessarily get on the first ship your agent says, other larger clients always have priority. There are many problems which may affect the service, berth congestion in Japan and Australia can sometimes cause delays (although both Japanese & Australian ports are pretty good). Big ports in developed countries have 'windows' in which each vessel is given a certain time to arrive by and they have 'guaranteed' reserved birthing space. If ships miss their 'window' to berth at a port they get placed to the back of the cue. There are various other random delays that can cause significant delay also. If the vessel calls into smaller countries along the way, these are usually the places where delays occur. But on a route from Japan to Australia you shouldn’t really encounter many problems and vessels tend to stick to the schedule most the time. I'm ship planner at ANL container lines and deal with delays everyday (mostly from ships visiting smaller pacific islands and sub-standard stevedoring activities that cause a major pain in the ass.)
  19. They may have taken down your address from your ID as well... lets hope it was legit.
  20. Sorry Dezz i was refering to getting stabbed with a knife or a similar metal implement, not that kind of stabbing (eg. anchoring in poo bay)
  21. Complementary stabbings upon arrival at the meet point?
  22. He is on life support at the moment, from what i heard its not very good at all. Poor bastard lets hope he pulls through.
  23. Changing pads and your brake fluid is a great idea. If you have shitty pads and fluid... by the end of a session your brakes will get pretty spongy and you wont feel as confident pushing your car near your limits. You don’t really want to have to be worrying about if your car will pull up or not coming into a corner off the straights at the end of a session. When I changed to good brake fluid (RBF600 I think it was off the top of my head, you can get it from a bike shop) it made a big difference on the track. A brake master cylinder stopper is a good little cheap mod to your braking system as well, firms up the braking pedal and gives a much better braking feel.
  24. Its so promising at the moment! I hope to god the times are reflective of RBR's pace! Go web dog!
  25. Better late then never.... happy bday kaz. I know you had a great day (how could you not if you were given muffin cake!!)
