Going to improve handling now?? You still have to come show us your new rig!
-
Do a search my friend there was a thread not long ago comapring the series one to series two R34's. Off the top of my head the R34 came out in 1998 and the series 2 came out in late 2000??? someone please correct me if im wrong. The major differences between a GTT and GTR are 4WD bigger engine, extra turbo etc.

for the wank factor. Ive seen a few NA silvias with them on. My 2 cents.
-
Nope they came in 2 door form too.

BOV is a blow off valve. mine does it too. I reset the ECU and it seemed to fix it for awhile doesnt seem to do it too much these days but I went through a stage where it did it all the time. I also have a HKS Sequential BOV Its caused by over fueling isnt it?

pitchd there the type of comments that belong on Nissansilvia not here.

Blue GT badges means NA

GTS4 = no turbo.

R33 Gts-T S2 LSD Question
97Sky replied to GtstCoupe's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yes they do or are you talking about A-LSD that was an extremely rare option on series 2's?? -
You cant seem to post anything at nissansilvia these days without every tom dick and harry bagging you out for something. Not worth the time IMO. My 2 cents

difference between r33 series 1 and 2?
97Sky replied to great one's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Series 2's look similar to R34's with the squarer headlights and raised bonnet front grill is different. -
I would probably go the 33GTR at the end of the day. Remember a GTT is newer but in the end its just an update of a car you already had. You would get used to drving it becasue it would have similar characteristics as the previous model 33 it would become predictable in drviving. And yes I have driven a 98 GTT it was different in looks wise but everything feeled similar just more refined. If you bought a GTR it would be like having a totally new car even though its a 33 because you would have to learn its limits as it would be a totally different drving experience.

Id save up for the manual and turbo RB25 no use just settling for what you can afford now if you have saved this much its not going to hurt saving a little extra for the manual. You will get sick of the auto if ultimately your after a manual. The reason they increased capacity was because of the extra curb weight. You will be behind the 8 ball if you put an RB20 in there. My 2cents

So basically you have a damaged series 2 that you want to fix? If so why dont actually ask for the panels and parts you need? This thread is hard to follow.

R34 25GT vs R33 GTS-T M-SPEC SERIES II
97Sky replied to Viscount's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I was in the same situation as you but decided to go the 97 series 2 Gtst. Reason was The turbo model in the 34 was a bit dearer and I would of only been able to afford a 25GT. In the end the 33 was the better option for me as I was lucky enough to get one with the rare A-LSD in it. I would imagine the insurance on the turbo would be slightly more plus fuel as well being force fed. By the way thats a nice 34! -
if your after just the engine why does it have to be a series 2?
-
It probably would drop the temperature......It would be interesting to see if your car became laggy with it on. You might find its more of a bottleneck than an improvement. Give it ago post some pics and lets us know the results of it!

About to buy a r33 but will i Be ok with it
97Sky replied to scottman's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
A Gtst skyline will be more tail happy than a non turbo auto silvia. By the way I have read some of your posts from other forums about you and your mates driving. If you decided to get a line dont give in to peer pressure and become another statistic! -
You wouldnt need one as all the cooler does on a turbo car is cool down the hot air from the turbo to intake. I cant imagine the air being drawn in not forced would be anywhere near the temps of a turbo car. But I guess the one way to be sure is to try it out and let everyone know! Good luck with it!

I heard the Hybrid and there copies were not that good a quality and some of them tend to whistle when driving.....any truth to that or is it just talk? Also the pressure drop on a Hybrid was alot greater than the jap brands? I guess you get what you pay for huh!
-
I wouldnt run more than 10psi on a stock cooler. Once you start reaching 1bar (14psi) your exhaust wheel can go walkabouts due to it being ceramic.
-
What do you mean "she is playing up at 6.5psi"?
-
Thanks for that. I have those options on mine and I was told there only found on series 2' GTS25t's and GTR Vspecs. Learn something new everyday!
-
hey I thought WRX's were laggy anyway??
-
Check on carsales around your area and see what other skylines around the same spec as yours and work a price out that way....to answer your question maybe 16-17. Also Iwas under the impression the Active LSD was only an option on series 2 R33's??
