  1. Apart from the cost of the tank, what are the other expenses involved in putting one of these on a standard car? I have been meaning to get one set up since I went to Wakefield Park and experienced surge while still on just above 1/2 a tank of fuel. (Bailed from the session immediatly and drive out to find somewhere with Optimax, filled up but couldnt get back in time to complete that session)
  2. gtf_jason: I like. Where can I find you?
  3. r32 = 210ps r33 = 250ps GTR = 280ps (206kw) are those numbers correct?
  4. What about just for a gas? No dye. I have had work done to my A/C which has already been converted. I already know my problem (I have had my faulty pump replaced with a GTR pump and found out the hard way that it dosent quite fit the rest of the system, requires a proper GTSt pump, still waiting on it) but yeah, only need a cheap gas-up.
  5. Just heal-n-toe into the corners. Its better to be in 2nd gear so you can tickle it around the apex with the throttle and floor it outta there, as opposed to being stuck in 3rd waiting for the apex to pass under brakes THEN chaging down to 2nd and loosing a few seconds trying to catching up to the other guy who was already in the right gear and is now 5 carlengths away and about to change back to 3rd.
  6. I have a GTS sticker on the back of mine, I think the lid might have been replaced sometime in its life. Can I be extra cool? I also had a Skyline "S" emblem covering the keyhole which I gather is pretty rare too, but it was badged within the first 2 weeks Go me
  7. I got some form of GTR pump in my gtst (r33) and it vibrates a lot. although when I cruise past people may think I'm running a serious drag racing fuel setup or something in the boot I think it came from a r32, but I didnt fit it
  8. Mine did that, I got the whole stalk assembly replaced (wiper and indicators are on the same unit) but it was replaced from a lesser model so I lost my fog switch on the indicator (Not that I have foggies anymore anyways). Fixed it right up
  9. PM sent, why are you selling it? Used?
  10. Its not a fuse, its your Dash dimmer. It dims the Tail lights as well as the dash (*shrug*). Find the knob/trim-pot your complience person installed and fiddle with it, its normally down near the drivers knee somewhere.
  11. I talked about it in a different thread. Cant find the link to it ATM
  12. Which security systems were in place at the time of theft? Were the windows closed? yes Were the doors locked? yes Was the steering wheel locked? no Was a club lock/pedal lock/shifter lock in place? no Was an alarm in use? yes Was an immobiliser in use? yes GPS tracking? no Alarm didnt save this Subie
  13. I think thats a great price, surprised no ones got back to you about it. I just rebuilt my RB25det for 8k (with mods), I would have loved to have got that engine from you
  14. *cough* ... My point was that there is more to it than just the way the pipes are routed.
  15. Yeah, the Python was supposed to be the king alarm at the time, black harness, 3 point immobilisation, kill switch, etc. *I* was overly confident that they wouldnt actually disarm it and drive away. My bro was freaking his nut off though, and with good reason eventually.
  16. Wow, Hot4's forum is crap D: Sucky, Dont like the color scheme
  17. I beg to differ. I had one of these setups and it was a very noticable difference in response with a huge rush in the top of 1st gear. After an accident and I got a new HKS kit with the longer running pipes (across the top of the fan and radiator) it felt better, and the response even better again and it now chirps in the midrange of 1st gear. But then again, the HKS did flow better than the other one that it replaced which was a cut down truck intercooler The HKS has less back pressure so it gives more midrange torque. Didnt really answer anything, but I just wanted to disprove this. Oh, and when the engine is running and the air is flowing, it dosent matter that much where the air is routed. The origional intake crossover pipe is always warm to the touch immediatly after driving and popping the bonnet, but let it sit for 5 mins and it becomes too hot to touch. If you want to be all pedantic about heatsoak, you can get a special gasket thing made from a material that dosent conduct heat and fit it between the throtlebody and the crossover pipe. It will still get hot because its sitting in hot ambient air, but its a lot lot slower than metal to metal transfer.
  18. The standard soft limit is fifth gear at 5000rpm. at that speed you are doing approx 190kph If you divide by 5000 and then times it by the redline (7200), you get 273.6kph. Didnt you learn about ratios in school?
  19. Dont know if Spark plugs can change the way the car drives, but it might have had an affect on something else, like ignition timing for example. Dont now why it would though.
  20. Mines leaking because the origional Compressor carked it, and had a new one put it, but apparently GTR compressors dont fit the GTS-t. They FIT, but one of the connectors is too big, hence the leak. Still waiting for Powerplay to get back to me about a replacement.
  21. I have had ongoing Aircon problems. It WORKS, but its only full cold 18`c, but anything >= 19`c it runs at full hot. Suspected that my dash cabin sensor was the culprit, but Have since been informed by Powerplay that I'm missing the external temp sensor up the front in the bay somewhere. Just waiting to get it fixed and gassed
  22. I hate those huge usernames in MSN messenger.
  23. No response and too many hahahahha's in the post.
  24. No pictures I suppose? I like the flat bar type ones that I can put my drink on while I'm playing with the engine
