  1. I think it has more to do with common knowledge than correctness. How many Joe Bloggs out there know what a GTs4 is? When you say "Skyline" to the majority of this country's Holden and Ford patsies they remember getting their arses kicked in the early 90's. They all think "Skyline = GTR = 4wd turbo". Thus it's easier to get the message across (for me) to say "Think of a Skyline GTR wagon, put in an auto transmission, slightly smaller engine and one less turbo. Oh, and make it ugly." Now we all KNOW this is even less correct than saying "GTsT engine with a driveline like the GTR", but when I have to explain exactly what the GTsT is first, it makes it even worse... so sorry for offending but I'm just lazy.
  2. ok, so 5x114.5 with either 16 or 17" depending on model, and 30 offset
  3. I saw that it has some offsets and sizes, but can anyone tell me the bolt pattern? Is it a standard nissan pattern (i.e. the same as skylines)?
  4. Hi guys, I'm in the process of ordering my stag, and have had it suggested the part of the compliance process involves changing the wheels (apparently they regularly use factory wheels from a 200sx that were fairly unpopular - the wheels that is, not the car). Since I have to get new wheels, I figure I'd get some I like, rather than the crappy hotwire ones (I have a serious aversion to hotwire wheels). Can anyone tell me if what I've been told is true? Regardless, I'll probably get new wheels, so it's time to start shopping. With that in mind, what in the bolt pattern and standard offset? From what I can see, different models came with different factory alloys, but does the factory offset vary too? Thanks in advance. Micha
  5. Nice piccies... what are you using?
  6. So something like the G.R.I.D Dash Dancer ETS wouldn't do the trick?? That's GOT to be easier than removing a drive shaft...
  7. Speaking of stock boost, what IS the factory boost level? And what have you folks upped it to? Micha
  8. Just got a quote from Just Car for 97 Stagea RS4: $1467 with $1300 excess or $2000 for theft. I'm 27yo living in 2261, garaged car, 60%NCB, perfect record. Micha
  9. I'm looking at aquiring my first Stagea within the next month. It will probably involve a road trip to QLD (as the prices here near Sydney are horrendous in comparison). In order to maximise the (very) limited time I have to pick the right car, is there any advice you guys can give me on what possible problems I need to look out for and how to detect them? Also, I will be trying to test drive a few around Sydney before I head north. What should I expect from a stock Stagea? Firm or sloppy handling? Hard ride or cruisy? Where should I notice the boost coming in? etc... Any advice you guys can give would be GREATLY appreciated! TIA
  10. So, based on the images I can see of member's cars around here, most of you have S1 Stageas?
  11. OK, and how can I tell if a Stagea is series 1 or series 2? What year etc...
  12. Can anyone tell me what the stock ground clearance is for a Stagea? I am unsure if it's in mcnamg's article section, as I am unable to get in there (just get a blank white page...) TIA
