  1. at what rpm are you hitting full boost? Got to ask as I am going to be checking my HKS turbos this weekend, I hit full boost of 1.2 bar at about 5000rpm, which I think is a little high, so I am thinking that they are 2535 or 40's..
  2. FC-Datalogit offers Anti-Lag... If oyu like flames and lound Bang Bang noises this is a plus.. I ahve FC-Datalogit, mostly for the logging functionality as I use it to tune other non PFC items in my car and measure difference in modifications.
  3. Or if you can find a second hand HKS ETC/EDA or M's ETS on Yahoo Japan like I just did.. Good luck though, it is a pretty evil lot of bidding out there on these thigns, HKS ETC/EDA are goign around the 850-900 mark, I got my M's ETS for $375 delivered though..

  5. Read their policy on refunds... it is on the website.. I think they are quite good, I am waiting for thema t the moment to respond to a quote request, In the last two months I ahve put about 1k through them and will be doing another 2-3k over the coming 3 months..
  6. mmmgtir: There is different pipes like this made by Greddy, HKS and I ahve seen a few Nismo ones, Greedy sell a kit that also incorporates the turbo inlet pipe and a Trust Air Filter for about $1000AUD (through Nengun) These are pre made to fit Z32 AFM's.. I would just ditch the filters if I could get them for say 750-800.. At the moment though I am more inclined to spend my money elsewhere, I was hoping someone would bring up a gorup buy sort of thing on these, I jsut don;t have the time to try adn organise it..
  7. Anyone wishing to organise a gorup buy on the turbo outlet pipes like the picture above, I am keen.. I know the stokcer pipes are majorly restrictive.. The crossover pipes are a good idea to equalise turbine pressure, but I always have a concern about any possible reversion causing turbulence, but this would be at certian rev ranges only and if you're trying to run GT-RS's then I gues you need all the help you can get..
  8. It also comes on when the injector duty cycle hit 98%.. there is some other times it will come on, but without the manual here I can not comment 100% sure..

Hi Ken, Correct me if I am wrong, but the HKS ETC units gave constant drive, like you dial in 35, they give 35 constantly, these units modify the way in which ATTESSA control is delivered, like the ones shown in AutoSpeed. This will give you no drive when you don't need it, but a different drive to the stock ATTESSA controller when it is needed dependant on the level selected by the driver.. I just recently purchased a Second hand M's ETS for $375, which I think works in the same manner as the HKS ETC units.. The HKS ETC is no longer available, the only ETC available anywhere seems to be the GRID units. Sorry to hijack thread, just thought it would be good for people to repsond and to clear up any confusion. Once again, Damn! This is about a week too late.. Otherwise I would probably get one of these, I am considering making my own one form the Autospeed articel anyway..

  11. At that price I am in if we are looking at doing this relatively soon. (ie. Next month or two.) I got confirmation last night that these SECTION manifolds mount in the stock position, I have also seen some people weld a few sections of metal onto them so that they can mount the stock heat shield over the top, I am looking into this now for mine. As well as Ceramic Coating.. (But I am pedantic when it coems to these things) I will keep my eye on this thread, if you start another one, please reference it in here. In terms of dump pipes I am looking at the Trust ones as the feed for the wastegate pipe is a lot further down, you ahve to buy them as a dump/front combination, but the fruther down the collection point the less restriction and potential turbulence issues you will get up near the turbine..
  12. Never fudge it on your car... I ahvea 1/2inch and borrow a mates 1/4inch for hte finer wokr, he only has the 1/4 so he uses my 1/2 inch for certain jobs
  13. Depending on Price and when you were thinking of getting them in... I have been looking at some of those beig sold by another guy on Yahoo Japan.. his "Buy now" price is 50,000 Yen though.. Which through 'pp-oz' buying them off of Yahoo Japan for me, works out to be about $900 delivered to my door.. What sort of price to get these landed and delivered in Aus? Also interested in Rear Adjustable Upper Control Arms and Engine Dampeners to suit an R32 GTR if you are keen on going a bit bigger with the buy up..

  15. It is impossible for the ECU to open the wastegate before the Actuator allows it, so there is no way for this to happen. You need to get your turbine wheel spinning fast enough for the compressor to creat positive manifold pressure. If you build your revs up to about 3000rpm then kick it, the turbine will already be spinning and you will create 'some' boost.. You essentially need to get the turbine spinning with some hot loaded exhaust gases.. I too cna create enough boost to get the BOV's to make some noise, but this is dependant on too many other factors to comment on.. I suggest that you do some research into the operation of Turbochargers before expecting anything out of them. A very very good book for this is Maximum Boost by Corky Bell, has enough of the basics so that the beginners can learn and enough of the good stuff so that the more seasoned of us can gain knowledge and fill in the gaps. If you don't want to buy it, download it...
  16. Damn it, just bought an M's ETS last week... Still interested to see some pics and info on this thing... Does it wokr by constantly applying drive, or does it modify the amount of drive given by ATTESSA like the AutoSpeed example? Does it interface to the Front Torque guage too??

  18. My ex and I used to rebuild engines for my motorbikes together, she was quite good at it in the end.. Eevn helped me change the diff in my RX3.. Every gf since her has been a car lover, but ahs had no inclination to wokr on them...
  19. What sort of oil do you recommend for the front and rear diff's, I will be using Lightweigth Shockproof for the box as mine is quite notchy (sat in Japan for 12 months) might as well do the diffs while I am at it..
  20. ANyone here considered an ETS Controlller, I just purchased a second M's ETS controller off of Yahoo Japan myself, will be fitting it soon.. I see a lot of people asying that after removal of HICAS and fitment of a decent controller setup for a track that ATTESSA can be both stable and predictable.. I am yet to see or believe this..

  23. If t is anything like the analog to digital conversion in an S13, it will take a bit of work and some wiring mods to get it right. For the S13 you needed the Digital Unit and Harness then modifications to the existing harness..
