Dig up from the past. I have a bare S13 rear non-hicas subframe sitting on my bench at the moment. Looking at it from the rear the front passenger side mount sits approx 4mm up. There looks to be a slight kink in it where it must have taken a hit at some stage.
My question is, Will this affect the alignment settings IF i finish overhauling it and put it in the back of my 32 sedan?
I will be using adjustable arms in the back for everything also.
I'm having a shed clean out and came across this headlight. I don't need it, has been sitting there for about 5yrs since i last cleaned the place out. So it is for sale. Asking $100 plus freight
Or even a small workshop that specialises in something. I don't know about perth but down here in bunbury you don't learn very much bar the basics from the dealerships.
It must have moved a bit or something to make it leak, i personally havent seen those plugs leak (not saying they can't tho). Temporary glue i would look at rtv blue or ultra blue. The ultra blue sticks like shit to fur and i use it often in gearboxes as a gasket. Don't use the clear stuff as it doesnt last. Probly clean the area with a good carby/brake cleaner as it dries clean
If its slipping theres a good chance its time for a new one. Do a little test to make it slip, drive along in 3rd or 4th, clutch pedal in then some high revs, dump the clutch and if it slips its buggered.
It could possibly be leaking from the shifter housing plate, there is a gasket there, which you can remove the 6 bolts i think and put some fresh sealant on there.
I have a S13 solid subframe that i am going to put into my 32, I have to get some toe rods for it anyway and came across the Powered By Max range. http://www.gtfactory.jp/cms/page.php?14
What i want to know is has anyone used them on there own vehicles? If so what is the quality like, how do they perform to other brands on the market etc?
I know they may not come close to the quality of some jap brands but i am not against trying new things
Cheers
Corey
Thread revival from the dead, has anyone used the powered by max gear? Or more to the point the solid subframe risers listed on their site here http://www.gtfactory.jp/cms/page.php?17
How would the solid bushes compare to whiteline plus rubber replacements on a sunday driver/circuit semi-timer? I understand there would be a heap more noise and vibration feel coming through, but would they have any other effect?
