  1. the solid sterring mount is available through gktech, i purchased one for 26beans from memory,i think he may do the gearbox mount also. KTS also do the mounts, as for the bushes possibly superpro through fulcrum?
  2. 20mm is a lot of movement for a 1piece. If you grab the yoke on the diff does that move back and forth the 20mm? if so that is u/s and will need attention. If it was to long the workshop would have had a tiny bit of trouble getting it out which you said earlier they reckon if was fine, if it was to long it would either bottom out on the speedo gear in the back of the box or bottom out in the bottom of the yoke on the output shaft. They are designed to move a tiny bit up and down the output shaft to deal with suspension movement when under driving conditions. Is it possible for you to check the 1 piece length next to a stock tailshaft? Or to even get the balancing on it checked?
  3. Take it to a transmission shop, Allfast converters is a good start if your near there
  4. sounds like an accessory fuse
  5. including your weiner, i had some work experience girl watch me piss, was real awkward. I work on a minesite and the medicals include drug test, and we can also get tested walking through the gate. Go to your local hydroponics shop and get that flushing liquid if your that worried
  6. reverse does not have a synchro. I have never seen a synchro on a reverse gear. The reason reverse crunches is because it is a straight cut gear, which is also why it whines driving in reverse
  7. Is it possible to get a sticky thread made up about 33 boxes into 32's. So many people still cant use the search function. I know there are a few good threads about the conversion maybe they can be put into one thread?
  8. Not with the brass spigot bush in the back of the crank it wouldnt, the throw out bearing on the input shaft yes possibly
  9. kincrome do a small strong telescopic magnet
  10. Is the spigot bearing or the input bearing shagged? Or even the input shaft? When the other workshop pulled the box out last time if they were any good (which from your first post im guessing they arent) they would have seen if there was a large amount of clutch material in the bellhousing, this could have been a hint for them to pull clutch off and inspect it. Even though you only went in there to rectify a leak. What style clutch is it and is there any signs of it having oil on it, from say the rear main or somewhere else? Does it also look like they could have pulled the box up onto the back of the motor with the bellhousing bolts instead of getting it to sit on the dowels. If you can look at it yourself look for damage on the motor side of the bellhousing where the dowels sit, look at the bolt threads for damage, look at the bolt heads for rattle gun use IF they pulled it up with the bolts. The workshop the car is at now possibly could have seen it. Possibly throw some pictures up IF there is any damage so we can look. It sounds to me the previous workshop was just plain rough thats all, i've seen a lot of cowboys do some stupid stuff like that.
  11. And it doesnt get enforced much either, quite a few of our mine cars/truck have no "roll bars".
  12. Hi Phil, Do you plan on running the clutch and brake line and sump bolt group buys again if there is enough interest?
  13. i had some good experiences with OVABOOST and my 20 getting tuned
  14. Gerg R31 let us know when the mould and watnot are done and you are manufacturing as i will be interested in one of these to suit a 26/30. cheers
  15. Castlemaine Rod shop or marks 4wd do adaptors for these to go into hiluxes and watnot, they might possibly do one for an import
  16. rb20,30,26 use z145a oil filter so should be the same
  17. That looks nice, how much do they go for and do they meert up good with a 25/26 top cover?
  18. 3/4 adaptor you mean the filter screw? Motospecs in perth should stock such an item
  19. what diameter is the dump pipe? is there a bend right at where it comes out of the exhaust housing? If so how sharp is the bend?
  20. Yeah just make sure the hose is oil rated, it will say on the box/roll at the auto parts store what it can be used for. Dont use heater hose or garden hose as it is doesnt work as well
  21. "They said they had trouble getting the tailshaft out and putting it back in" I would be asking why this is so if the person that made it installed says it went in perfectly. If i were you i would take the car back to the mechanic and get them to pull the box back out whilst you were there and see what they have done to cause your car to be like this, Or take it to the gearbox place and have them pull it out and inspect the work that was done as they will hopefully know more than the other mechanic with it being the box.
  22. Is that a standard water pump??
  23. leave the gearbox on, just disconnect the tailshaft from the diff pinion and centre bearing, remove the mount and crossmember aswell as the slave cylinder. Will take some effort to get out but its a shitload easier than wrestling a box on the ground, under the car, on your back
  24. what sensor out the bottom? IF you have some mechanical experience pulling a gearbox out is a piece of piss. IF YOU DONT know what you are doing take it to someone you does
