  1. Could do either. I'm using the VL turbo one myself once i get around to doing it
  2. i think the combination of the wheels being that wide and the clutch dump would have done that. I've seen an old school holden panel van snap a tailshaft the same way.
  3. What brand are the pulleys dave?
  4. Did you mix the shims up? i've put a few mechanical centres into the R200's and have never had to change the shims. There are quite a few manufacturers still using this style diff, Holden used them til the VS beam axle, as did ford in the falcons. And Mazda/Ford use them in the 4wds. They are a pain in the ass to setup but they work well
  5. Search function is your friend, heres one subject, took at least 3 seconds http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...lk-t328539.html

  7. Any reputable transmission and driveline repairer in your area should be able to rebuild it.
  8. sounds like the food at the big day out. was shit and price was overrated
  9. I'm pretty sure they come split from the factory, buutt that looks like it was installed possibly wrong. It looks as tho it has maybe squashed out a tiny bit, is it overhanging much over the edge of the subframe?
  10. With a house like that in the burbs do you reckon hes an honest nigerian banker/publicist?
  11. Disco makes a good point in that Trust td06's are 3 bolt triangle flange, when i was putting together my turbo kit for my rb20 i purchased the turbo off nengun thinking it was a t3 flange. When she arrived bang 3 bolt, 6 boost helped me out with a manifold and an ex gate. Managed to pull 310rwhp due to overboosting, full boost by 3500-4000rpm on an internally stock motor, was an absolute animal to drive but at the same time enjoyable
  12. go to an auto parts place or holden/nissan and get some rb30 manual flywheel bolts
  13. Have a look at Nitto or even Kelford, they are reasonably priced and look good
  14. $140 is a pretty good price, sell them for whatever you feel comfortable with
  15. +2 for Daves kits, have 2 of them and never had any problems. Awesome service to
  16. A recon price varies on how much you want fixed, if you only want 1 sychro fixed you get charged for one synchro, you get more replaced you get charged more. All depends on what is found when your reconditioner pulls the unit apart. Could be 1k could be more
  17. Would the 26 ATI dampener fit onto a 30 crank?
  18. Using that much fuel is normal on a dyno and 260kw is different from 260hp. If you didnt like the workshop go to another one
  19. Ah k no worries. I personally dont think this can be diagnosed over the net you'd have to get a transmission mechanic to look at it. BUT from what you've written i think there may be a problem with the internal electrics of the box. With the shift solenoid you replaced, B only operates when driving in D1 or D2 (or with manually shifting like you've said) whereas Shift solenoid A only operates in D1 and D4 which would stop it up changing from D3 to D4 . What did the oil smell like when you changed the solenoid and was there any clutch material in the filter? Also did you only replaced the one solenoid?
  20. Ok so i've searched and have done some reading, just want to clear some stuff up. I would like to beefen up the ass end of my 32 sedan mainly my driveshafts, from what i've read you can stick in a GTR centre into my R200 case then i would be able to use the driveshafts. Would the driveshafts then go into my GTST hubs/bearings or would they need swapping out also? Are the internal diff centre splines completely different to the GTST's? The GTR halfshafts are 6x1 bolt, mine are 5x1 bolt. Are the GTR driveshafts internal spline(on the end of the bare driveshafts) completely different also? I know it sounds like a lot of f**king around but i currently have some goodies in the back and my TEINS and KAAZ 2way are only a year old if that. Or the other option is to get a bare GTR subframe with centre and driveshafts but then can the GTST's arms and watnot be used?
  21. Hows the build coming along Dave?
  22. when you mean playing around with the stereo were you playing with wiring? Did you have covers and that off around the T bar? And resetteing the ecu, did you disconnect the battery or press reset on the ecu?
