  1. stick the biggest cooler you can fit in the spot where you want to fit the thing. the bigger the better. the coolers that get stuck on the front of BA falcons when their radiators shit themselves are great and if you buy the whole kit you get brackets, 2m of hose, hose clamps and tech screws to bolt it to the car.
  2. dual mass flywheel failure is quite a common occurance. especially on newer model cars
  3. the ends are supposed to be square they sit in the cut outs of the 2 halves. in the first pic where you have the centre sitting on half the carrier, is the carrier worn in the centre area? i dont have paint atm so i cant pin point it. there looks to be a fair amount of crap in there but the oil looks cleanish, was there much metal filings mixed in the oil, as for the noise at 60km/h it could be crown wheel an pinion or tyres, while the diff is out check the tailshaft uni joints if they're buggered they can make clunking noises.
  4. or disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes also resets it. doubt it'l hurt your safc
  5. yeah you can get kaaz centre for borgwarner diffs now but you have to modify the pinion gear to get it to fit, get 28 spline they're stronger and it gives you the chance to upgrade to disc brakes. the cone type lsds are ok but dont last long if you do burnouts, 25 spline are weak as shit and you'll just twist the axle or snap it quicker than you can install the thing into your car
  6. its because the cheap nasty spacers move an make the wheel nuts come loose and also because your widening the wheel track from standard, your modifying a standard part of the car and it also puts extra pressure on the wheel bearings. i made hub centric 10mm spacers for mine (like yours daveo) and when i went over the pits i asked him about them and checked my track and said because i had modified it it wasnt legal, he let it go but because i made them good an i made him some. also quite a few businesses wont do work on cars that they see can be a problem and the customer coming back with a lawsuit against them
  7. exedy offer no warranty on their clutches so it says on the boxes the clutches come in. especially not after 8 months. straight from the start if there was a problem they might have offered something but this far down the track you might have trouble
  8. burnout. then a couple of hundred bucks on tyres. then $4500 on piss when you get done for hoonlaws and spend your nights bored at home thinking "why did i listen to that c**t on sau".
  9. got my braided line and return line made up this morning, weld up my cooler piping an exhaust this weekend should be struggling to idle by end of next week in ready for a full tune. hoping for about 300hp for now will see wat she puts out tho. getting butterflies in my stomach 6 months and shes nearly driveable
  10. wow adam thats pretty impressive. no progress on mine this week working flat out 13 hour shifts 7 days a week.just gota make my exhaust housing 3 bolt flange then weld the exhaust together, put in my fixed seat an gauges then tune time. had to make my own oil feed fitting for it to no one in bunbury had anything that would fit
  11. we get a few xr6t marked highway cars down bunbury way all the time. especially on long weekends they must cruise down for the hell of it. and there was a wrx unmarked police car down here a few years back. was blue and used to entice all the known hoons into racing then bust them
  12. haha cheeky bugger. looks like it'l be fairly responsive

  16. all up mine weighed just under 20kgs according to the scrap guys scales, chances are they were out. i left the front lines in cos i hooked in an oil cooler
  17. exedy 8 puk super cushioned thing, had an extreme was a heap of shit. woman can drive the car now to and handled track day before turbo blew
