    dj labby, you obviously dont drive your car hard enough to get it hot. having a pissy little transmission cooler on the front of your car for day to day driving does no good watsoever. driving around with only second an third isnt good either which also tells me you dont really care which is why you only have a not very big cooler

    yeah press, circlip pliers and just everyday tools. and some patience sometimes

    do it properly the first time. check the condition of the clutch out while the box is out, saves a lot of time, money an headaches

    if the oil pick up line which is a filter is blocked the gearbox has worn out something and is buggered. grey sludge doesnt show any good signs either. are the transmission shops over there open on weekends are they?

    its all relevant and a brand new master cylinder is $55. if its mucking round that much pull the box out and check the clutch if you can handle that

    kermit have you done any 3 bolt td06 dumps yet? was gona give you a ring to make me a dump/front to cat pipe high mount an mod my intercooler piping. can you make the flange to suit if not i'll do it at work for ya.

    1. When was the clutch installed? 2. What brand is it? 3. Why didnt you install a new master cylinder instead of resealing there as cheap as anything 4. Does your mate know what he is doing? 5. Is the clutch pedal sitting in its right place, the mounts for it havent broken have they?

    the 03A is also in the 4 speed patrols very good boxes. 01A's are in older model patrols and terranos also a good box. anyone who actually likes building gearboxes and actually cares can build them. the business i work for here in WA deal with KEAS and we make quite a few strong boxes up for race cars

    chat to him or give KEAS a ring. they can also build the skyline box up to suit large amounts of horsepower

    na that way isnt as effective. its crown wheel teeth divided by pinion teeth to get the proper ratio. sometimes its even stamped on the side of the gears

    if your oil is black and smells burnt the transmission place wont give you very much good news. i dont know anyone on the gold coast sorry

    your gearbox is f**ked. having only the one external cooler has probably cooked it. when you stick another auto in it or get yours rebuilt find an automatic radiator stick it in an hook up your external cooler aswell to stop this happening again

    if its missing bigtime swap the leads over on the corresponding cylinders and see wat happens

    just means when you do your burnouts only one tire will become bald

    the torque of the motor will break the box. not really worth it in the long run just get a rb25 box if ya can

    mines still sitting next to my bedroom window. grass is growing through the bricks around it been there that long.

    this happened to me to down here in bunno. got told to f**k off by the guy. he didnt prep it well enough an the paint chipped off and small surface rust spots have shown up. now im gona do it proper myself

    whats the rd28 out of? a navara or something. ive been looking into using a non rb gearbox behind my rb20. still testing stuff out

    but did he weld a kaaz 1.5 way?

    technicaly speaking if he does find something wrong with it and he wants to be a prick about it he can make you pay for it because you called him in february and told him about this problem he told you to take it in there so he could look at it. it is now july 5 months later and your only just taking it to him. see where i'm heading im not being an asshole im just pointing something out. good luck with it anyhow

    boc-lock is welded. just pull it out and get the thing rebuilt. or as u mentioned try an swap it with someone. dont weld it but it would be a waste of a good diff
