  1. just silvier solder it in with a oxy an the solder rod. if ur careful an do it properly it doesnt affect the sump at all. 19 row coolers should be ok but you'll still have to watch how hot you get it
  2. 225mm is SR i think. if its not the same i wouldnt use it
  3. when the motor gets up to running temperature isnt it? just before the needle reads half way. if u do have trouble with it theres a couple of wires in the engine bay apparently u can bypass to make it change
  4. check out nissan or a wrecker. possibly see if a vl one will fit (not 100% sure on that tho)
  5. are you only running it through one oil cooler? how big is the oil cooler? running it through the radiator is recommended because it removes a lot more heat than wat a little external one does. as for the temp sensor why dont u mount it in the actual sump. then you'll know wat the actual temp is in the box
  6. yeah just check it with soapy water. then you can clean the bay while your at it aswell
  7. yeha roger. if noone gives ya proper answers best thing ya can do is rip out your viscous centre an compare the two. wouldnt hurt an itd give u a chance to change the oil if they aint the same
  8. are they the same widths/dimensions? same spline and same mounting point for the crown wheel? is so yes u can. i put one into my 32 that i had out of my previous silvia
  9. a patrol clutch is quite big are you sure its not just a heavy duty unit suited for the 33. do u have any pics?
  10. ah my apologies for jumpin the gun. as said above just drive to your limits an you'll do ok. start off slow an work your way up if your that nervous about doing it
  11. Road racing is stupid. save it for the track where it belongs
  12. i wasnt mouthing off i was voicing my opinion. i havent seen a hugos built transmission so i dont know what they modify inside to make them hold together. im speaking from experience from WHAT I HAVE SEEN not from what other people do.
  13. we is my boss and i. i work for a automatic transmission shop in western australia
  14. sounds like you dont know either mate
  15. yeah but as for my original post wats the difference between the three types?
  16. the trimatic is a piece of shit and will not ever handle any of these power levels you guys are putting out. these things hardly hang together behind the stock 6s or v8s that there bolted to. we build the jatco 4N71Bs that are behind the vls an there handling 10sec passes an still hang together but we modify them a sort of trade secret way. C4s are a good upgrade as are turbo 400s and turbo 700s behind the commodores. the things you have to worry about is the bellhousing which atm the powerglides have the opportunity of having. the standard skyline gearboxes are the same as whats behind partols an terranos, atm people are looking into modifying these to handle extreme power levels an abuse. i havent had experience with the straight cut gear sets so i'll leave that to the other guys
  17. 230-260kw. i dont want anything to laggy thats the thing. will be used for street use plus a bit of track work every now an then.
  18. ive looked into those aswell. im only after 350rwhp. supporting mods atm are EMS, GTR injectors, Bosch 044 pump. FMIC, 3" Exhaust, oil cooler and a few other things not related to engine
  19. gday guys an girls, I'm in the market for a new turbo for my rb20. ive opted to go the TD06 path but theres quite a few choices an i cant seem to find the information im after. If anyone can help id be grateful, wats the difference between the TD06S 20g , TD06SH 20g , and the TD06S L2 20g. Cheers Koree
  20. well done for him. sounds like a good guy to deal with.
  21. yeah roger. ah possibly they sent you the wrong clutch but i doubt it. have to wait an see wat your mechanics find
  22. i have any exedy 8 puck cushioned unit. real good on the road an also excellent on the track. an the woman can even drive with it
  23. if uve blocked the breather up id unblock it before u cause damage. blocking the end causes pressure to build up and then it blows seals out spits oil onto exhausts an causes fire. but u dnt have to if u dont want to
  24. shouldnt be slipping unless they got oil or lubricant on the clutch. dont drive it anywhere an wen they say bring it back tell them to tow it on the back of a truck
