  1. Thanks for posting Zoros.. was my old car and yes the post is legit.. check my post count to find the issues that were resolved on the car.. I was the one who found the car for him and yes I went overboard on the security of it. the downside is that if the car is not driven much the battery does get drained after a while. Worked when it counts, and I guess thats all that matters.. When you get it back from the cops let me know and we'll re-wire it a bit differently this time..
  2. no pics of the engine bay?

  3. yeah back in 2007 :P

  4. Hahahahaha scotty popped ur cherry lol

  5. dude. where is that thread about your car?

  6. Well didnt find the seals, but thought I woudl reseal the throttle bodies using the instructions in diy throttle body fix. However after the pain of putting it all together, the car still idles high :-P Now playing around, and will see what i can do.. But hope it will all work out good in the end.. Just time I guess. Not lookign forward to pulling the throttle bodies off again.. but at least it is fresh in my memory on what to do now..
  7. Thanks for all your help guys. I will post some pics on what i have decided to do. But I will apply a coating, there is still some light poking through.. The end bits are just dust covers by the look of it, and I was told as long as i coat around the butterfly shaft, I wont need to replace them. Basically stripped the throttle bodies, and polishing them while I am at it.. Thanks heaps again.
  8. No that is something that I did not even think of. Now that you mentioned it, I will go see a few, and see if they have anything similar. Thanks heaps for that..
  9. Yeah thought about that.. But luckily, I can't see light looking through them.. So I think they are still fine.. I would not wanna risk it tho, so therefore would just get the orings replace them, and she should be ok.. Worst case I will use just a very fine coat of silicone, but did not wanna go down that route. Thinking about taking them to a performance shop to see what they think.
  10. Nah could not get it from nissan. Apparently can only buy the throttle bodies complete.. this is not something that i was willing to do I wonder if there is any place that can service them.. I was thinking hyperdrive.
  11. I Had a very similar problem in my 33 gtst. Does your pedal feel funny??? I found that my clutch pedal had broken.. Have a look uder the dash, and shine a torch or somthing onto where your pedal joins the firewall. Mine was pretty rooted.. And this explained why the car would move forward even if the clutch is engaged. Just my 2 cents worth.. have a look at the pic. this is where the pedal bolts to the firewall.
  12. Hi All, I DID POST THIS IN FORCED INDUCTION PERFORMANCE, BUT NEED LOCAL HELP I GUESS I have a bit of an issue with my GTR. When it was just running, it would idle at ~ 1500rpm. So a quick search on the net pretty much summed my problem up.. I had cleaned the throttle bodies while the engine was in bits, and seems like i created the problem for myslef. So the painful process of removing the inlet manifold and throttle bodies to investigate started. The manifold is off, and I inspected the throttle bodies, to find that they were not closing all the way due to some of the (nissan coating) still being there. So now i cleaned them all the way, and they look quite sparkly inside.. I had a look at all the parts, and found that one of the O'rings needed replacing as well, but no matter where I go, I cant find a place to buy them.. I bought new gaskets for the throttle bodies, but dont want to be in a position where i would need to pull them off again. Anyone know where I can get some of these? and is there anyone that can suggest something similar to the coating that nissan use, rather then using silicone as suggested on a DIY fix (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/286728-nissan-gtr-high-idle-and-throttle-body-fix/page__hl__cleaning++throttle++body). I heard that some of the performance shops dont bother with this, but i would rather be sure.. Am I on the right track or completely wrong.. Some images are here. Any help is appreciated.
  13. Yeah mate, That was my first option. Then went to United Fuel injection, to see if they can help.. but no such luck.. getting my injectors serviced tho.
