  1. maytech for the cut [email protected] as for fitting i can arrange that at very competitive prices ask several workshops for a quote then get back to me with your best price.
  2. i never said it was the same turbo if you call two dyno runs a prolonged period of boost, then i wonder what you call a decent time between rebuilds .. 1000km?
  3. funny you say that.. all popped on the same dyno all the same tuner no need to name names (and please dont assume i mean bad by that) the thing was a filthy air baker, that was the call of one of turbo techs best technicans... but im sure he has no idea, right?
  4. i know of a turbo set up that would make excellent power at 18/9 psi at 21 plus it would literally melt engines it popped at least 5 rb20's in the hands of 3 owners. we never got to check the exact difference in heat but they where massive. why? because it was outside its efficency range. a cooler can only do so much , it a turbo is roasting air its roasting air. a spike in boost is more likely to damage an engine due to afr issues rather then heat anyhow.
  5. 1 a properly set up car will not get boost spikes 2 id rather a spike from a big turbo - at least the air wont be 100000 degrees because the turbo will be waaaaaaaaaay out of its effiecency range
  6. timing also doesnt help so dont go bashing that cas its better to run as little boost as possible to make the power you want, simple but there is so much more then this... tuning, support systems such as fuel , ecu , cooler etc make the difference in the long run i abused the hell out of my 25, it hit limiter pretty much all the time, and its still going hard.
  7. i did 10 000 k's on my twin plate in my 31, which has a weaker box then yours Jim, never broke a thing (bar axles hehe) , have got a few mates with 32's, all with hardcore clutches, and never seen one break.. id say you have specific one off problem. get it sorted.
  8. the place isnt so bad you know.... just needs a little spring cleaning having been around for a while, (second user name due to bannage) i can say ive seen it drop from where it was just 12 months ago but its not a lost cause, its not all over, the members themselves have to raise the standards, not push younger guys away. its simple... think of yourself as a noob in the scene and relate to that. also make the guys feel welcome at events, so many times i see all the new guys sitting round feeling left out while the old skool laugh and chat away im blessed enough to know most of the right ppl in the scene, and this is just an opinion of what i see. tj
  9. left keys in ignition issit, taken by curtin student, likely to be bams friends?
  10. public liability insurance.
  11. works auto issit
  12. *sAfrican Americans* then frowns
  13. 1- name your time and place - since ur in class 9 - 3, it will have to be after that i spose... lol if you think i wont say it to your face 2 - if gtr34 is 14 and a hot female, ill happily meet her in a dark alley .. erm i mean , erm..... 3- get some personal hygiene.. been told that one of your lift providers said you smelt like a homeless man. think im talking shit? i can provide a name and logs if you like. to quote someone, ive got quotes ! 4 - btw, ill say this all to your face, 0403471736, call me if you cant ride your bike to meet me, or no one is willing to give you a lift to meet me.
  14. something a little like that? hows the snowfields gav?
  15. your calling me an idiot because i called you out ? weak, and pathetic. if you dont want to be teased as a kid, stop acting like one.
  16. its harder to make or source a loom then it is to change a few sensors... suddenly disadvantage goes to power fc.
  17. have you actually bothered to read any of the thread, or just my post? read some more before you go oh wow ill tell him what he already knows im well aware that they are pnp for the car they are made for, sk was saying that to make it pnp on nicks car, he would have to change a few things... thats no longer pnp is it
  18. wasnt tyring to mate, just sounded like we where about to go down a familiar road.. my apologies
  19. then its not truly a plug and play ecu is it? i think people expect plug and play to be just that.. pnp
  20. dan, nick, gimme a hug.. relax guys , this has been one of the better threads about ecu's , lets not spoil it with wa politics
  21. evl r34 feature story in speed magazine last year doubt he knows that car is ruined and the driver and passangers died in a horrific crash
  22. i can allay testiment to how well nicks car drives and performs.. all using a link ecu. i couldnt fault driveability, but i dont live with it every day and therefore cant tell you about economy etc. it took alot of balls for nick to go out and use a relatively unused and unproven ecu here in wa.. respect to him. his is an example of a successful link ecu installation.. granted there may be links which have not cut the mustard. personal experience counts for alot, and its obvious sk has had negative experiences shame the controllers are dog ugly things
  23. this is the greatest thread i have ever read "want to pop my gtr cherry" "want to copy and paste from speed magazine"
  24. hehe one of the most fun cruises ive ever been on and had the privilige of running ... left right and centre was just screamers going off... about 10 cars all up out that day with external gates with screamer pipes the green s14 is probobly the sweetest sounding car on screamer ive ever heard, and that includes cars like [nd4spd] [gt51r] , ants datto, and magic1's 500omgkekekissitstockinjectors4life 33. not bad for a diesel using sr truck engined vehicle
  25. the way i see it jap car deserves jap rims... not some crappy china shitters
