i'm taking an aston martin for a test drive wednesday morning... sweet as but i'm anti-valentine's day coz i think ppl should do stuff for loved one's because they want to, not because hallmark insists on marketing the crap out of what should've been a nice idea... that doesn't mean i'm opposed to getting gifts on the day tho, but i'm not fussed if i don't... go the v-slicer! meanwhile i'm taking ferni out for a surprise on saturday, just because he deserves it

i got pulled over just before, i guess, everything kicked off at NP... wanting a macca's coke on the way home after a quick cruise i decided to head to chaddy maccas (which is further away from my place than NP maccas). I was the only car on the road at the time, doing the speed limit when i get high beams and red and blue flashing lights, so i pulled in to the subway near chadestone. the two cops were pretty nice (ones actually a memeber/user of these forums) and asked me to pop the hood, so i did. naturally nothing was even remotely wrong with my car and when they'd finished looking i asked why they'd pulled me over and they simply said, 'because you're driving a skyline and a good looking one at that'... and that 'this weekend they're targeting skylines'... so there you go...

Once again, thanks to everyone who organised the event for securing such a prime location on a spectacular day (minus the wind), and to the chefs for their patience in cooking for all of us on such a tiny BBQ. Hope everyone had a good time - I know I did: * running the mini 'which colour is better?' poll * chatting with Vietnamese exchange students - I really hope they were asking how much the cars were and not how much I was * working out bathroom waiting etiquette * watching some crazy guy trying to get into the toilets when someone else was in there * trying to convince ferni that jack's headlights were better * not having to put on sunscreen and not getting burnt - yay melanin! And if Al's wheels ever go missing, I hope I have a really solid alibi...

So I can enter Mr Otto even tho he doesn't stand a chance of winning anything, just so I don't have to find alternate parking? Entry to the pak opens at 10am, right? What's the time frame for Show n Shine entries since I doubt ferni will awake at 10am let alone be somewhere (other than a track) by 10am....

word! ppl need to have two levels of 'extra hot' - extra hot (for the weak sauce) and extra hot (for the hardcore)... because when i order extra hot i want my eyes to water like ferni's does if he get's too close to my order meanwhile, can someone please explain to ferni that chilli actually has a 'taste', once you can get past the heat aspect of it...
