  1. Good Quality Japanese Brand Intercooler going cheap.
  2. How have things been going with the beast? Run-in done, ready for final tune?
  3. btw this is what it looks like without the clips. The standard latch can't hold the fibreglass lid down properly. LOL!
  4. Thanks, mate. The bootlid is an aftermarket fibreglass item with some kind of custom lip built-in that came with the car from Japan. Being much lighter than the factory item, the boot lid doesn't sit flush unless the clips are on. The original clips that the car came with from Japan were stolen when the car was @Australian docks ages ago. Took me years to find a place that had replacements - http://www.protex.com/toggle-latches/medium-duty
  5. Cool. Look forward to the update
  6. Apexi Hybrid Intercooler : R32/33/34 GTR Description : Drop in replacement for standard item. Not required as final tune on my car ended up being with the standard intercooler so won't be needing this. Location : Hawthorn East, Melbourne Price : $300 - because of the size of this item will only ship at buyers expense. Contact : 0425 730 031
  7. Got a GKTech air splitter to replace the older one which was looking a bit rough. These are a run-out item so they're going cheap atm. Also replaced the Nismo radiator cap which was leaking a little bit for some reason. Have to get the engine bay detailed amongst a gazilion other things on my list. Standard steering wheel is back on. The outer leather part is an e-Bay sew-on item. There is a bit of wear on the right spoke of the wheel but on the whole it turned out pretty good and will do for the time being. Gotta get the car ready for full road-reg. These have been sitting around for far too many years.
  8. Video of orientation run, second half of day from Haunted Hills. Did a faster lap than this but forgot to record. Recorded it in SD in my excitement to start the video. Running iPhone 5 build-in GPS so speed is a bit laggy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRRoskTA_Qg Also - was playing it conservative after a bit of a spin earlier on in the day
  9. I have 18x9.5 +12 on a 32 GTR with 265's. They fill up the guards. I'll measure and post up tonight if it's out. The workshop that built the car did the alignment work and didn't mention anything so fingers crossed.
  10. To add to this a friend of mine recently got a very clean, stock, newly imported C34 Stag. It has the same "issue'. My previous car a Jan '93 32 GTS-T was completely stock when imported in 2002 also had this. Going to have a close look at the GTR and see if it's the same. Never bothered to check it.
  11. Don't think you really tried that hard There is more information than the below. Biggest change would be that the later model 32 GTR's had side intrusion bars and the issue with the crank's oil pump drive fixed (amongst other things) Cosmetically they're all identical externally. Depends on whether they had any optional Nismo bits fitted etc. Being a very old car, getting a newer model will only get you so far as 99% of them have been flogged within an inch of their life and need a lot of work. 12. You can still put it on club reg if you do it before 30th June. After that you'll need a RWC which is never that hard as long as the car is in good condition and not "heavily, heavily" modified. (PM me if you want to go this route) Either way an '89 R32 GTR costs a bomb to run and in the grand scheme of things the $600 odd saved is only a fraction of running costs per year (especially if they're driven hard). Yeah big maroon plates do suck Thanks mate, lots to come for this car yet!
  13. In a word - awesome. Less lag with power transfer to the front wheels, corner exit the back doesn't always want to come out all the time, and launches are of course way better. Gives a lot more confidence in general when driving the car hard. Only problem is I'm really noticing the open front diff now! Gotta see if I can get the Nismo front diff done next time it goes in to maximise the benefits of the new transfer case. Although I've been told the front drive shafts need attention as well so I'll see how I go next service.
  14. Write up on the Hill Climb, last weekend - http://jzxgarage.wordpress.com/2014/05/26/haunted-hills/
  15. thanks mate http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/441696-club-registration/
  16. Thanks mate. Will do! Had a great day @Haunted Hills Hillclimb on the weekend. A very tight, technical track. Photo Credits to "c2888" from EXE-Crew Was interesting punting a GTR around a small, tight track. Had one big "oh shit!" moment, going down hill. Learnt a lot about how the car handles, especially under hard braking on various gradients and speeds. Will post up some in-car video I took with Harry's Lap Timer later on.
  17. Do you like the look of my stocky? I'll let you into a little secret - my one just has a $15 eBay leather cover sewn onto it. I'll find the link for you if you're interested. Get your GF/Mum to sew it on and you're done.
