  1. My dilemma too. I have a retrimmed stocky but it's 370mm in size. Same thing as gtr jet - got told off by the cops about my Sparco suede one. May just "put up" with the re-trimmed stocky?
  2. They make one without the vents closer to the windscreen? I've never seen one without them.
  3. Thanks mate. Yes, did some research and i've downloaded Harry's Lap Timer so will use that on an iPhone 5 on manual mode with a suction cup on the windscreen (hopefully passes scrutineering). Might get a external GPS sensor for it later on to get more accurate& faster speed readings. There will be people there doing video including the Mrs so should get some good footage.
  4. Few changes to Victorian club permits around the corner and a few other things happening as well atm. Instead of doing lots of events over the next two years in full roll-cage trim, have decided to slowly change it to a full registered road car in the next few months. Have had this sitting around for a while. Standard steering wheel with sewn on leather cover. Will go on after the Hill Climb event this weekend at Haunted Hills.
  5. It's been a long day. Vic Club Reg has gone south and I'm out of beer. To add to that the results of this Deca have seem to gone the way of MH370. Too soon?
  6. haha all good, mate. Was just amused after I recognized the photo
  7. Thanks, mate. My coilovers were revalved by Gary as well but they were second hand when I got them from a member here. The front end has Cusco upper control arms, Whiteline sway bar & Whiteline castor rod bushes. Not too sure about the settings as RPM took care of it all for me when I got the initial build done however if you look at my build thread the car isn't very low. In fact they measured it for me and it's actually a bit over 100mm from the lowest point. They mentioned something about the car not needing to be too low to get the roll centres right. Will need to ask more about what was done next time the car goes in.....or sooner if I go mad between now and then listening to it. Going to go read those two threads now.
  8. Interesting. From the picture they actually look like they're in my house in Melbourne.
  9. Always love reading over this thread. As someone has mentioned previously - This car isn't like it came out of the factory, it's actually better. Funny you should mention this. My car is doing the exact same thing, currently. I can hear it much more clearly when driving on highways etc with bumps. Same kind of noise as you describe and yes, it's driving me bananas as well. Racepace has had a quick look at it and couldn't find anything wrong/loose with the front end. Might get them to take a look at the Coilovers (revalved Bilsteins) and see what they find.
  10. No one need to replace their engine or transmission mounts? Will include postage if sold for $100.
  11. Saw your Quaife diff. Win! Will make a big difference going from 3WD>4WD on these cars RPM mentioned that they modify the Nismo diff a little bit before it goes in (didn't ask what at this stage) PM on the way
  12. Agreed. Going through my rebuild "journey" with the workshop I used, with their knowledge, I was surprised about how much stuff the car actually *didn't* need.
  13. Small and subtle update. Just got the car back from a service. Some minor things repaired/replaced here and there. Discovered that I had to get the rear drive shaft reconditioned. "Replaced centre bearing, machine flange to suit spicer 1350 universal, rebuild CV and replace boot, balance assy" Shiny new driveshaft. Now for the visually subtle but big change to the car. RPM transfer case mod. Transfer case has been rebuilt. Additional clutch plates and a few other changes internally, I believe. Also 4WD system modified, running more pressure. Does it make a difference? Hell yeah! 4WD comes in sooner and harder and it's lost quite a bit of the 32 GTR "tail happy, laggy 4WD system" character. Have a Haunted Hills hill climb event coming up so can't wait to really test it out. Can't believe I hadn't done this mod sooner. Next stop, Nismo front diff!
  14. Actually they did- http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/353607-r32-gtr-rear-pods/ And yes, they're a genuine item. There was a post a a while ago with the scan from the Nismo catalogue
  15. haha me too. They actually made roof racks for them as well which i've got S.F.A chance of finding. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/48934-r32-gts-t-factory-options/ About $100 for the rear pods and $200 for the skits (that's on the higher end of the scale, if they're in excellent condition)
  16. Not standard for Type-M. They were optional on GTS's. I've noticed recently some GTR owners seem to like putting them on their GTR's to give them a GTS look.
  17. In that case let me know when you find one, i'm looking for one too
  18. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=111049385496
  19. Too true. Putting the cost for initial purchase aside. Costs for building a 32/33/34 GTR are pretty much the same seeing as they're all basically the same car. 20k for a not totally screwed 32GTR , 25k for 33 GTR and 40k ish for a not totally screwed 34 GTR base car. I thought about re-shelling into a 34R chassis when I started my build but decided against it. In the grand scheme of things it wasn't much extra $ but I was just being stubborn about fixing the car I had sitting in the garage for 7-8 years. I've noticed a few built cars being parted out lately instead of being sold outright. Smart move as ppl recover more money that way. Be crazy to sell one all modded but they do show up (although rarely).
  20. Exhaust, tune with aftermarket ecu, more boost (and hope your stock turbos don't fail) Don't need pod filters, the standard 32gtr airbox is fine. I'm running 336rwkw with it and the standard item can support more.
  21. They didn't. Production ended 1994. Clean car.
  22. Nice photo. You just using the KSport/D2/etc OEM replacement rotors? How much are the replacement rotors for these kits anyway?
  23. Troy what do you mean, pistons on the EVO Brembo's too large?
  24. Hi mate, I've been looking for something similar. Is this the same one? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/KINCROME-TOOLS-3T-LOW-PROFILE-TROLLEY-WORKSHOP-JACK-MECHANICS-K12067-SP-KC-/290961704825?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43beab4779&_uhb=1
