the transfer case mod, by itself makes a massive difference just by itself. Changed the way my 32R behaved. (no more back flicking out on hard acceleration and way more front drive out of corners. Highly recommended.

Nice one. Very useful info. Think I'll get one of the Do Luck DTMII's. Btw - Racepace modified my transfer case awhile ago. Also did something else to the 4wd - was a while ago. They also warned me about lots of on/off hard use (motorkhanas etc) - puts too much stress on the stock front diff and we know what that's attached to....
-
he's referring to aftermarket/ programmable pre-set ones. I'm also interested in this. I'm hoping to buy one of the Do-luck programmable ones later in the year. Even in "standard" mode I've got a feeling it will be an improvement over my 32R's 26 year old one (which is just a spring in some oil).

RB26 -7 upgrade suggestions for optimum performance

Hi mate, I got the Tomei Expreme dumps for cheap (brand new) at the time. Most people go the HPI's over the Tomei's although at these power levels (<400rwkw), I don't think it makes much difference at all - RPM weren't too fussed about which ones I chose for my build and said the Tomei's were fine. If they do make a diff at this power level it'd be top end, i've yet to see someone do a comparison between stock dumps and aftermarket at this power level. Can't remember what cycle but pretty sure they're >80% on 98. They're capable of around 360-380rwkw on 98 from what i've seen on other cars with similar setup to mine but -5's. I'll check and re-post re. cycle when my car goes back in for a checkup tune in the next month. -
A lot of ppl seem to prefer them over the Nismo. I'm not sure why as the reasons they specify it sounds more like a setup issue personally. Personally I've been in a couple of cars with Nismo front diffs setup correctly by RPM and they were fine after run-in. I'd do transfer case mod>front diff> rear diff (in that order)
-
Welcome and congrats on the new R. The interior is a nice way to start off on one of these cars, if you just got yours. They look a bit bland these days and little bits and pieces really lift the overall look. Yeah I hear you. First service on the new motor will be in Jan so maybe a bit quiet till then unless I get motivated.

My 32R runs -9's @20psi, stock airbox (good for mid to high 300's), RPM adj cam gears, stock cooler , powerFC, Tomei Expreme Dumps>Racepace 3.5 full exhaust, nismo afms and 600cc injectors on 98 @336rwkw. (all Racepace built & tuned - they run Castrol edge 10w60 in it). Everythings well within limits with the current setup on track days, motorkhanas and hillclimbs. No need to get a aftermarket intercooler or pods. ECU choice, depends on who is going to tune your car. I've owned the car for 11 years now and when Racepace sorted it out a few years ago, it's interesting how much they changed back to OEM (as apposed to how much was swapped out for aftermarket) -
Aaaaaand WE'RE BACK! Admittedly, got the car back around a month ago but haven't had time to post anything about it. Been pretty busy with the new home.........for the GTR. House with rear, drive through access and a nice big garage that will get some work done on it in the new year. On a run-in tune @315rwkw 18psi. Gotta find time to get it between 5-800kms so I can take it back for a retune back to 335rwkw @20psi.

Nice. They come in a range of colours. I just asked Import Monster to order them in red, and they came in a couple of weeks.
-
D2's?
-
R32, R31 Same. Same.
-
LOL nah all good. My 32R has racing history so will elevate my wallet to godlike cash and i'll buy your's for a pittance.
-
Fair enough Let me know when you wanna move it on!
-
Yeah and only the rare limited edition Mustangs will become collectible.......... Now compare how many Mustangs vs GTR's there are. Something a collector of muscle cars pointed out to me a few years ago.
-
Let him go. Structured reasoning and numbers sometime don't work with some people. Conjecture on the other hand.... A world famous car with only 12,000 ever produced going up in price. Crazy talk. Buy an R31. You'll be a millionaire.
-
Not much of a price difference between 32>33 so just sell and buy a 33.
-
HAHA - This is sooo quote worthy.
-
Yep. So around 72k cars produced. Of those, how many have gone to GTR heaven? *Very* conservative guess - 10%? That leaves around 64.8k cars in existence. A rich, first world economy of 319odd million people has just legalized importation of them depending on age. The middle east is going nuts as well. Worldwide, previously younger generations who are familiar and like the model (and there are lot) are reaching the age where they have serious $. Don't need a crystal ball to see where this is headed. Simple math of supply and demand, no?
-
No. I wish I was at a stage where I could afford to add one to the garage, as they are the most evolved out of the 3, they look awesome and they were produced in so little numbers that I'm surprised it took this long for prices to start rising.
-
Lol. Although to be serious I don't know about wank factor? They're, all 3, basically the same car under the metal. The same strengths......and the same problems.
-
Nice Street driving I take it?
-
damn

what now? Or is the bonnet just open for show?
