  1. different ways of going about it depending on which model you have. Best way is to probably get a torque splitter. If you have a 32 just pull the 4WD fuse. On a 33/34 things get a little more complicated as pulling fuses isn't enough, you'll have to also disconnect the driveshaft to the front wheels as well. Which model are we talking about in particular?
  2. crap man. You just got the thing on the road! The ride height is the lowest point on the car so check it out in case you have a low hanging exhaust etc.
  3. O.K Al i'm in as well for a big bad black one.

bah its only a few suspension and tyre changes away from being a drift car and vise versa. Do both I say!
  5. Great post Ben. Informative as per usual. Well guys since I first started this thread months ago it seems my car is finally going to be on a ship from Kyushu to Melbourne. Hopefully all goes well from this point on as its been about 6months of waiting. Gotta get insurance for it tho as its not coming through Kiwi C.C.
  6. Just found out from Racepace. It actually goes by the engine cast number. Normal 26's have 05u and N1's have 27.
  7. crap can't be there cause I'll be @work till 8.30
  8. exactly. Also the seats and the interior centre console cover. Just trying to provide more accurate information for potential buyers.
  9. I wish. I have a better chance of getting on the track with a shopping trolly at the moment. Not sure how I ended up being listed on there but i've taken myself off. I'll just be the camera bitch again
  10. I may buy a small red or black one on the night. (depending on what colour tickles my fancy on the night)
  11. hi mate would you have the VIN no? That doesn't look like a '93 and I just want to verify the year of manufactuer. thanks.
  12. Firstly if you're driving around with a straight through exhaust then don't complain when you get done for it. Its road registered vehicle not a race car. Secondly if you were doing stupid things on public roads and got done for it then wear it. No here condones dumb behaviour on public roads and when people complain about it.
  13. JSA Imports. The level of the cars that I saw there was quite poor. Most had rust and badly repaired accident damage. Ever wondered why most cars there have had cheap resprays and body kits put on them? I can't believe how expensive R32 GTS-T's are atm. I bought an immaculate stock '93 for $13500 about 3 years back from a dealer. Most examples now are over priced and have sellers sitting and scratching their heads as to why they can't sell their cars.

got a pic of the car after u cleaned it up?
  15. very nice pics dude. Those night shots of the city are excellent.
  16. hehe ok i'll shut up now
  17. Quite frankly Unique Autosports is a rip off. Go to your Nissan dealer and buy the GTR key for $42.
  18. yes but you've havn't driven it much have you? Try putting up with it everyday! The biggest hurdle would have to be the clutch. I've driven Franks white R33 GTR (2530's) on the spurs and that had nice Xtreme sprung button type clutch on it that was very easy to drive. Dunno about driving it everyday tho....
  19. have they provided you with a list of things they will do?
  20. that would range from 180kW to 1000kw?
  21. Any turbo car pulling above 300kw@ the wheels isn't going to be that nice to drive in traffic. If it isn't the lag it'll be the boost when it kicks. In short in might be manageable but i'd rather tootle around in a stock "normal" car. I'm not sure why someone would want something that powerful for traffic type use anyway... btw A GTR *is* a money pit. Any performance car in that class is. Make no mistake. No one buys one for the fuel economy, cheap insurance or running costs.

    Clutch :(

The base model heavy duty Daikan Exedy clutch costs $420 (+ labour to install). Its a single plate with an heavier then stock pressure plate. Very daily driveable as I used to have one in my old R32 GTS-T that I drove everyday to work.
