  1. A bit of precursor to finally giving the engine bay a bit of attention. Nice shiny new Racepace motor is being let down by tired, scratched paint. So the radiator cap saga. Original Nismo radiator cap was starting to weep a tiny bit. Replaced with GKTech one. GKTech one loses it's sticker and starts to look crap. Check it out - Billet Radiator Cap "Cover" Surprised myself. It looks the goods. Strut brace bar was looking a bit shabby too with some scratches. Now in satin black. Prep of engine bay will hopefully start this weekend.
  2. Give him some space man, he's considering re-shelling. Man's going through hard drives. Needs love & support. Pics of the trim below. Hard to take pics of it. Bit of dust has settle but you get the idea.
  3. Probably should have in retrospect. The lower arms themselves however have perfect paint so didn't need to get done anyway. Made sure there was plenty of margain for error. Managed to get it done without any splatter. It was only a small area that needed re-spray, I felt like playing it risky. It payed off. Won't be doing any more work like this on the car
  4. They're attached, in the photos with 2 screws in the arches and double sided tape They fit very snugly around the curves of the car
  5. Sills should be easy enough to fix, mate. Maybe get it checked out and see what a bodyshop says. Better the devil you know then a shell with so many unknowns.
  6. I hear you. but actually I painted them out of laziness. To replace them you will need to remove the side mirrors, and I wasn't in the mood to go about doing that just yet
  7. Will do later tonight. You have to give them a light sand and primer first to make sure you get a nice even finish as they're a bit rubbery.
  8. Well this is embarrassing....... No sooner had I put on those Nismo replica rear pods that I've bought a set of genuine ones. They cost mega $ but hard to pass up as they're rare as all hell - couldn't say no!
  9. Shameless Plug : I will be selling a set of R32 GTR Nismo option rear pods, imported from Japan that I don't need shortly if any one is interested. These are not available in the country for whatever reason.
  10. It's all in the details. New Door handles put in. Before and after. Gotta represent. The new supervisor for Health & Safety kept a watchful eye on me. Finally after she took her unionised break it was time to mask up some minor trim parts and gave them a quick lick of paint. Gloss black for lower door window trim & satin black for the wipers (masked off & blades removed so only the arms were painted) Now, back to the Bathurst 12 hour!
  11. Track use or not, if your financial position is as such that you're fretting about 5-6k don't bother looking at a GTR.
  12. I've been using SAU since 2002. It rocks. The two tiered scheme sounds good. I'd be happy to contribute.
  13. Lol cool. The Netherlands? That's awesome. Is it a shop by any chance or they only had one set?
  14. I run 18.9.5+12 (Te37's) as well. I've got guard liners and no scrubbing. If you're talking about handling, going via those pictures, your car is too low at the front anyway. Car looks to be in great condition, congrats.
  15. A FWD "GTR"? Now I've seen everything. Here's hoping it's all in the name of development for the R36.
  16. Bump. Found a small box of spares for these the other day. Bushes, bumps stops etc. Will get a photo soon.
  17. RB26 K&N Twin Pod Filter Intake kit + bracket. Was on my car when it came from Japan. Wasn't used and has been in storage. Estimate they've done around 15,000km's. The wheels on my standard turbos, which some genius had boosted to 22psi looked great when these came off so they appear to filter pretty well. Some minor cosmetic imperfections but still in excellent working condition. Cool carbon on the filters - Guaranteed to impress the chicks.- $150 - 0425 730 031. Pascoe Vale Melbourne.
  18. That's awesome news, mate. Tell me about it, I've had to delay buying the Nismo diffs etc. Life is real hard for us, oh the struggles
  19. Thanks mate The AC design is fine in 32's. Mostly the age/lack of maintenance that catches ppl out. If your compressor is fine then it should be easy to get it fixed up. Racepace did ask if I wanted to remove it all during my rebuild. It's not a dedicated track car that gets trailered everywhere so no way was I going to take it out. For a street car - keep it in, I dunno what country some ppl live in, taking Aircon out of their street machines There's nothing overly complicated about the Aircon Sys mate. It's just a Nissan at the end of the day and that's good news for us
  20. Just looked up their work. I was going to get a carbon cover+ silver rings for the cluster but I'm going to wait to see what you'll come up with if you don't mind?
  21. My most important project for the GTR was finally delivered yesterday. Pit Crew Member No. : 1
  22. You're right, what was I thinking! GET IT!
