Was very interesting watching how early/long people carried the throttle/speed over the main rise into the 2nd chicane, with the dual entered cars highlighting how much familiarity/ballz with the car is important. 2 examples that stood out for me were; Ryan/Russ with both getting on the power quite early & carrying heaps of speed although Russ was generally more sideways/slightly slower at the same-time. The other being the 964-RS which was bouncing on limiter for almost a second going into the back sweeper with the first driver after barely cleaning the 2nd chicane cones where as the second driver who was still carrying more speed than most over the top, but with more tentative throttle application nor as aggressive braking/driving line, couldn't quite match the limiter bash into the same corner. Having driven the back track in this orientation quite a few times, it clearly shows where a bigger set of goolies are required to be quick!
Anyone who likes taking photos/videos I can highly recommend volunteering as a spotter on the back track, as you'll get some great footage/shots which had me kicking myself for being lazy
Glad everyone had a great day, big thanks to the organisers for putting in the time to make the day happen, no rain for the next one and more complexity in the skid pan courses
