  1. So its looking like i will have to buy genuine nissan ones and get a pro to install them for me, bummer i was hoping to save some money.
  2. I have read through most of this tread, there seems to be hardly any info on the R33 GTR. How hard are they to get to? Is it any easy DIY job or should i get a mechanic etc to do it? Does it entail taking the exhaust out or turbos in a GTR since there i limited room around and behind the turbos? Any help will be appreciated
  3. I live just of Panalatinga aswell, it is a bad stretch of road for tail gaters and people doing 60km/h. People are scared to do 80 for some reason especially since there is a red light/speed camera at the Pimpala /Panalatinga intersection.
  4. ^^^ Thanks mate i hope to have it sorted this weekend i will try just plugs first and see if that fixes it if not i will arrange for coil packs too.
  5. Sounds good, what boost controller did u get? i am looking for one for my GTR and am not sure what to get.
  6. Cool thanks for that, ill go and get some NGK spark plugs on the weekends.
  7. Just did a bit of searching and found out that the exhaust sensor is not needed and wont cause a problem so i will remove it all together and plug the whole. I would still like conformation on the second question regarding inconsitant revs, is it the coil pack and or spark plugs?
  8. I have had this exact same thing happen on my GTR it is good to hear that it is not causing any harm, my warning light also flashes constantly, i will have a set of nismo gauges soon so when that comes i guess i will just pull the globe. My exhaust is still stock does anyone have any suggestions on how to block the hole? Sorry for the tread hijack
  9. Are the sensors an easy thing to fix? are they a plug in plug out sort of thing?
  10. ^^^ Thanks for that its what i assumed it was but is it going to be a problem driving around with it acting up?
  11. Im in Adelaide but i might give him a ring tomorrow, i would still like peoples advice, i would rather do the work myself if it is possible.
  12. I posted a thread the other day about my exhaust temperature sensor (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=103482) Since i re-screwed in the sensor it ran fine for a day but now the warning light is flashing again, its not the engine light the symbol looks like a cat converter with steam coming of it, i assume its a temperature warning light. Since this light is still coming on and off while im driving does that mean that i have to replace the sensor cause its damaged? (since it got filed dragging on the road) if so how hard is it to replace (can i do it myself) and is it an expensive item to buy? Is damage going to be done to the car if i keep driving it with the warning? The second problem is from what ive read is common but i just need clarification. When im driving my car a bit harder (above 5500rpm) it stuters a bit under boost and the revs are not smooth to the redline. From what i can remember it is most likly the spark plug and or the coil packs that have given up and can no longer provide a good enough spark under high boost pressures. Is this correct and if so what sort of price am i looking at to get new plugs and or coil packs (splitfires etc) and how easy are they to install can they be done by most people? or are they more a job for an experianced auto electrician? Any help regarding these question will be appreciated, thanks in advance.
  13. Can someone check mine and tell me wear i can get the info on what all the numbers mean bcnr33-007533
  14. Thanks for that its just what i wanted to hear.
  15. Yesterday i was driving my GTR and it sounded like there was a hole in the exhuast and one of the lights on my dash flashed a couple of times. I got to my mates house and had a look under the car and saw some sort of sensor hanging in the ground, i could see that it screwed back into a specific hole in the cat so i put it back in the car ran fine and no more warning light. My exhaust had just recently been taken off to fit a new clutch and flywheel and this sensor must not have been done up properly. My question is can someone tell me exactly what it is and what it does and it got filed down a bit on the road will that be a problem?
  16. Ill be up for this cruise since my clutch, flywheel and radiator are now in good working order. Send me a pm.
  17. I subscibe to Street Commodores and Motor but i buy HPI, and a couple of shooting magazines every month.
  18. Does this software show what type the car is eg. vspec or n1 etc
  19. Just ordered one of these kit for my GTR i hope it comes with fitting instructions of suggested mounting points. Look forward to getting it installed.
  20. Yep mines a daily, but since i catch the bus to work everyday during the week its mainly driven on the weekend and occasionally during the week, but its the only car i own so i would call it a daily.
  21. Sorry to hijack but u say u have removed the boost restrictor. what exactly is this and is it easy to do? can it be done on an R33 GTR
  22. Thanks for the reply i did figure that they would be all very close, the N1 i have seen for a good price so i will probably go for that one. Cheers
  23. I have tired searching but to no avail (unless i didnt search the right thing). I have recently bought a R33 GTR Vspec and i am after a Cat Back exhaust for it and i would like peoples input. I have been looking at 3 models (in either Stainless steel or Mild steel) - Trust PE II Apexi N1 Evolution HKS Hi Power I am wondering what people think of these systems. I am after something that performs well and am not to worried about sound levels. I am leaning towards the Apexi N1 but would like peoples opinions. Cheers
