I posted a thread the other day about my exhaust temperature sensor (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=103482)
Since i re-screwed in the sensor it ran fine for a day but now the warning light is flashing again, its not the engine light the symbol looks like a cat converter with steam coming of it, i assume its a temperature warning light. Since this light is still coming on and off while im driving does that mean that i have to replace the sensor cause its damaged? (since it got filed dragging on the road) if so how hard is it to replace (can i do it myself) and is it an expensive item to buy? Is damage going to be done to the car if i keep driving it with the warning?
The second problem is from what ive read is common but i just need clarification. When im driving my car a bit harder (above 5500rpm) it stuters a bit under boost and the revs are not smooth to the redline. From what i can remember it is most likly the spark plug and or the coil packs that have given up and can no longer provide a good enough spark under high boost pressures. Is this correct and if so what sort of price am i looking at to get new plugs and or coil packs (splitfires etc) and how easy are they to install can they be done by most people? or are they more a job for an experianced auto electrician?
Any help regarding these question will be appreciated, thanks in advance.
