  7. Does anyone know what amount of oil the gt2860r-7 is meant to flow? How much do the restricters slow the oil flow?
  8. From what i know they have worked on a fair few GTR's doing turbo swaps etc including getting a modified GTR through regency and 100% legal. Is it really going to be a big problem? Is it likely my oil pump is giving up? Whats it worth to get an oil pump changed?
  9. They didnt drill out the oil lines themselves but the oil feed from the block. Thats what i understand from what they have said in my report. This is exactly what it says they have done on my report: "Plumb oil drain hoses to containers to check turbo oil drain quantity. A sufficient amount is 375ml/15 sec per turbo. The new turbos are 150ml/15 sec. to raise the amount we loosened the oil feed lines to turbos and removed 'T' piece at engine block. Checked oil feed-hole size was 1.5mm drilled to 1.7mm. Retest flow was 200ml/15 sec. Removed again and drilled to 2.2mm flow. Did not increase from 200ml. This indicates that there is an issue with the oil feed and or pressure which may cause engine and or turbo failure"
  10. I have just got my car back from having some GT2860r-7 turbos installed into my GTR. I received a phone call from my mechanic today saying that there an oil drain problem from the turbos that requires further investigation. They said they measured the amount of oil coming out at 150ml per 15 seconds and they recommend 375ml per 15 seconds. They managed to get the flow up to 200ml per 15 second by drilling out the oil feed from 1.5mm to 1.7mm then to 2.2mm the flow didnt increase from drilling out 1.7mm to 2.2mm. They say further invesigation is required to find the problem and it could lead to turbo and/or engine faliure and needs to be looked at soon. I have just spent all my money doing the swap and i cant afford to have the check the problem at the moment. Does anyone have an idea what it might be or if it is a big problem to have.

I have just got my car back from having these turbos installed aswell and have no problems. This group buy is 100% legit and people will not get screwed over plus its an awesome saving
  12. Yeah im in Adelaide, Graham West Workshop (Adelaide Performance Engineers) did the work. If i wanted 16 PSI would it be as easy as adjusting the nuts on the actuators? since i dont have a boost controller. How much would i have to wind them out?

  15. I am getting my car back this week after my turbo swap (stock to GT2860r-7's). A simple question, do i need to run in the turbos (like an engine)? should i take it easy on them for a while or is it safe to use them as they are intended?

  17. The plan is to get a Power FC when i have the money ready. Im just trying to get my car back on the road after it being off the road for 6 months with stuffed turbos. I dont really like the idea of being to close to 300KW just for the fact that if my engine goes i cant afford to rebuild it at the moment im trying to save for a house aswell
  18. In a few weeks i am getting my new turbos put into my car (R33 GTR) They are GT2860r-7's. I am also getting my exhaust replaced at the same time. I have Tomei dumps, 3 inch Do-Luck front pipes, 3.5 inch cat, and a 3.5inch Do-Luck cat back. My car is stock at the moment and was dynoed at 181KW at all 4. My question is what sort of power increase can i expect from this upgrade? And what PSI/BAR should my turbos be set at? I assume since i dont have a manual or electronic boost controller that the boost can be set on the actuators? Im thinking 1 BAR will be fine and still keep my engine in good safe working order. Cheers for any help
  19. Nope i live in Adelaide where it is legal to drink alcohol while you are driving aslong as your not over the legal blood alcohol level.

  23. Turbos ordered I went for the -7's mainly for the response etc. I am now a little worried after seeing this thread ( http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ga...60-t210071.html ) about my dump pipes. I guess i will find out in a couple of weeks.
  24. I sure as hell hope they bolt up to the Gt2860R-7's because i have Tomei dumps sitting at home waiting for my turbos which were ordered about an hour ago. I will be very pissed if they dont fit, my cars been off the road too long for me to get other dumps to fit my front pipes.
