yeh im gonna do the simples! and if its the pistons ill go from there! but i was thinking if it is could i just get like pistons or block form another rb20 and just swap it? anyone know good workshops down west subs? the car does run realli well! but i do notice eboost flicks between -17 and -18 so its ubit up and down!? ne ways yeh ill get it checked!

ok i guess ill need to get a compression test! this will show where the problems r???? oh and whats the deal with regency and exhaust smoke? its just wierd that one day it was 100% fine then its blowing smoke! like before my old turbo decide to go and smoke up the whole street it was blowing 0 smoke but now i have new one its blowing.. could the blow of the other turbo have something to do with it? cheers for all ur help guys! its just been a long road since defect and its still goin!

ok so if its pistons... would putting forged pistons in fix it? and would that be cheaper then second hand engine? could i get second hand pistons form and rb20det?

if it is piston rings could i get forged pistons to replace?

ok ppl heres my problem!!! the car got defected in early jan! it has been sitting around whilst work has been done on fitting turbo, cat and service! i got the car home last week and it was blowing a small amount of smoke (grey/blue)on idle and driving. this would get worse with abit of acceleration! i thought oh yeh its coz its been sitting around for a while... i have been turning it on and driving it around the block on an average of 20mins per day and the smoke today has been a little worse! when accelerating to boost (7psi) it dumps smoke! blackish with some grey... thats wat i saw form the rev mirror. i do believe that the oil was abit too high when the mechanic started doin the work.. so would this be due to it burning the oil that was too high? the turbo stuffed? running too rich/lean? or just burning too much oil all together? also whats the go with regency and exhaust smoke? and can i get a fine? if anyone has some suggestions? as i havent got much of a clue! would be great.... thanks ppl much appreciated..
