Hey all i did do a search but couldn't find anything that matches. sorry for the long story Mods to the car Walbro fuel pump HKS SSQV r33 turbo profec E01 FMIC POD standard computer i have an odd issue with my car i have a random cut, when the car is hot i have a problem where the car will cut out, i thought it was the BOV cause it initially got this when changing gears after the BOV went off, so i tightened it right up and it seems to go away for a bit, i drove it from my place to QR about 1 hour with no problems. went out for my first run and when getting to 4000rpm i had the cut again, this happened about three times on my warm up lap but cleared up and was fine for the rest of the session. now i go to start it up for the next session the car starts and then cuts out and stalls fire it up again and all is good, take it out for the warm up lap and it cuts out again at 4000rpm but then clears up and no problems again once the car is up to 85 degrees. same thing happens for the 3rd session. starts then dies and then fires again without a problem. drive the car home and now i'm getting this cut when ever i give the car a bit, also happened when going up a hill and making a tight turn. anyway parked the car at home take it out the next day and all is ok. the odd thing is the car was on the dyno the day before fuel pressure where good afr where rich but that is what i expected. so if anyone has any ideas please let me know, i'm leaning towards fuel pump as it started to make more noise after the track day however it is now quiet. the only other thing i could think it is, is AFM but i'm at a loss. just wondering if anyone else has had a simliar issue?

  5. this is my rig got it from japan very cheap and very rough. I have done a few things to it, i'm trying to build some reliablilty into at the moment. it is still registered but rarely is driven on the street

    i think col has the right idea but i would take this to court from what i hear the judge's hate having their time wasted
  7. i would be getting the injectors flow testing not just to make sure the highflow was done right otherwise you might have one that is 555cc and another that is 530cc and this will make a difference in engine life. also it will tell you if one is stuffed.
  8. yes that does sound like bearings, i personally would rebuild the thing while you are at it, the motor might last a few years with that power or could last a few days, all depends on the condition of the rings and ring lands.
  9. i'm running the r33 brakes on my skyline with no drama's the pedel is a touch softer but not much, and i have had no issues at the track, i dont think you will need to change yours

  15. i would be changing it simply due to age of the pump, but also i think the stock one would be at it's limits. new fuel pumps are cheap and take about 1/2 hour to install yourself

  19. check your afm is plugged in properly and hasn't come loose
  20. i dont have any heat shields on my r32 and dont seem to have any problems
  21. i got my emanage blue tuned my pro torque, pete knows the emanage back to front and has tuned a fair few of them. give him a call on 0438 876 649 he is at springwood
  22. i would say a turbo seal is on the way out, white smoke is either water or oil burning from a hot exhaust
  23. the car does have a slight whining noise but that seems to be coming more from the power steering pump i will double check this. i do have a turbo timer and alarm however i have check both of those and have resoldered them to make sure of that. would the alternator still give 14 volts if it was having a problem??

Hey All just wondering is someone can help i have a miss at idle and every now and then i get a miss while driving and the CD player resets itself. the car is an rb20det 4 door skyline with emanage r33 turbo FMIC HKS SSQV splitfire coilpacks ngk spark plugs gapped at .8 i'm not so worried about the miss at idle but it is the cut out while driving, it doesn't happen all the time maybe once in a 1 hour drive or if i drive for like 15mins leave the car for a bit and then drive 15mins home it might do it. the car seems to cut out howerver head lights stay on but CD player will stop, i have had a look at the earth to the battery thinking it might be this, it is not the best connection but has been like this for a while, it will be fixed up this week sometime. the battery itself is now 2 years old and has gone flat a number of times (i dont drive the car that much) however i will charge the battery just fine when driving. my thoughts are the earth however i can wiggle it and it doesn't seem to make a difference. oh yeah when the car cuts out it kicks back in about 1-2secs later and all is ok again please let me know your thoughts Cheers
