  1. i have had a look for other rb20 pumps and i'm not after anything 2nd hand and the n1 pump was cheaper than the standard unit unless you know where i can get a new stock one from. might have a look into the 25 oil pump cheers
  2. Hey All just after some adivce on an oil pump for my rb20. I think i'm in need of a new oil pump for my rb20, i was thinking of getting an n1 pump, the car is only going to make 180rwkw and will be used mainly for street but i do take it to the track about 4-5 times a year, so not huge amounts of abuse. my first question is will the n1 pump be fine for this and also will it bolt straight up to the rb20? i have been reading about crank collars will this be needed for my application? thanks in advance
  3. nice one
  4. did you change the gasket when you did the turbo? i have an rb25 turbo on my rb20 and i have no odd noises but i changed the gasket, i have a friend who didn't and he has a similar noise to what you say
  5. how tight is tight on the drivers side, my car decided to stop on the side of the road, cock it's leg and take a leak, so i might be looking at doing this sooner than i thought
  6. nice read. you are one lucky guy
  7. have to agree with the other guys buy some new ones and never have to worry about it again. that is what i did with my car and it was the best move
  8. pear if your getting an emange have a chat to pete from pro torque, 0438 876 649. he tunned my skyline and did an awesome job
  9. just from looking at the pics the enigine seems to sit lower than the RB? also nice work, i would be very interesting in doing this when my little RB goes bang. so there was no changes to the trans tunnel?
  10. you have pm
  11. johngts-t have you tried Lucas TSW pads? we have had a few cars in QLD running ferodo and complain of fade but the guys running the lucas pads (including myself) dont seem to have thsoe issues
  12. as far as i know they are illegal for a few reason, i think one is ADR but the other is they dont have spots to hold the brake lines, in saying that there are plenty of cars that have them and dont get pulled up for it, so just make sure the car isn't too low and you should be ok
  13. yup i wouldn't worry about that, if it jumps up towards the 12's all or a sudden i would worry about it. it could be the end of the stock fuel pump
  14. i have seen this a few times, it will be water getting onto the AFM i wouldn't say it is good for the car but shouldn't do too much harm, however i would sheald off the area near the pod to stop this happening
  15. all depends on if you are happy hacking the loom i went the harness cause it was less work for me, that was the only reason i did that
  16. as uras said get the two diagrams and compare from memory it was four ignition wires and four injector wires. but check the diagrams. using the harness is easy to install however make sure you configure the enamage properly for the car, there are 3 siwtch under one of the panels that needs to be setup and also before you start the car there is some stuff that needs to be setup with the software. the mohdparts site has some good info on it and the software manual is a must if you are going to do this at home.
  17. i would check your timing aswell and look for leaks
  18. it depends on the guage it seems a little low but as other have siad if the throttle was held open with will make a difference, the main thing is the vairences which seem good.
  19. would just like to point out that the spefic harness for the rb20 is not 100% it is actually a GTR harness that they sell you and it needs to be modified to suit the rb20, i have the car specific harness in my car and like the fact that i can pull the emanage out and leave the standard ecu in or put something else in later on.
  20. that is one nasty turbo failure, maybe the cheaper materials have caused the degree to which this has failed however the bee-r rev limiter would surley be the cause of thise over time. i personally have never used a kkr turbo but i have heard good things about them i would be chucking the cooler in the bin or pumping alot of high pressure air though it for a few hours to blow everything out, also check the inlet and throttle body, hope the enigne is ok
  21. thanks for the comment i have had a few pm's and have replied to them all now cheers
  22. sorry mad rad is sold
