  1. do you know what RPM this is happening at? it could be the knock sensor, or could also be a faulty ECU
  2. abu it was just a matter or changing some lines so suit the outlets are in a different position to the stock lines stainless intake sold pending payment
  3. it is for a 32gtst but they are not a direct fit. BOV and oil breather lines need to be changed to fit this
  4. no longer for sale
  5. no longer for sale
  6. thanks for that i have ordered a new o2 sensor so with any luck it should solve my problem fingers crossed
  7. or get a 10psi wastegate actuator from an r32, and get your standard computer remapped (i think dr drift can do 33's now), that way your insurance company will never know. also i would look into the suspension and brakes
  8. the plugs are ok, i did check
  9. yup a hot dog did nothing for me, the only thing that reduced the noise is my car was changing the rear muffler, as said though i wouldn't worry about it until you done for it
  10. how did you go with the 02 sensor i a small air leak, which seems to have fixed up most of the miss however still have a very slight one so interested in how you went
  11. that is your problem your bolt has either fallen out, or you not looking hard enough it is on the back of the BOV in the middle
  12. i have looked at going into something like this with makes, it all works well until someone crashes the car. yeah motorsports are expensive however if you want to get on the track and have fun there are some cheaper ways of doing this.
  13. well where ever you are getting the line for your wastegate put the bleed valve in that line, there should be an arrow on the vlave or something which indicates which way it goes in line. then adjust away
  14. are you still running the standard turbo?
  15. yeah sorry pulgs are 0.8m and 6 heat rated
  16. just wondering if a stuffed carbon canister can cause a slight miss at idle and the car to run rich. i have been chasing this problem for a little while, first thinking is was the BOV, i have blocked this off, no change replaced most of my vacume lines and still no change, checked IC piping all is tight and no leaks. thought might be AFM so i have resoldered it and still no change, so i'm wondering if a stuffed purge valve on the carbon canistor could cause this? mods to the car at the moment FMIC, pod, no BOV, profec e01.
  17. i wouldn't say it is a mistake to buy one they are still quick cars with heaps of aftermarket parts, and they are still turing good lap times. just for my personal preference i prefer the skyline and from looking over the forums they seem to be quicker round the track not sure if this is driver related or not. what i will say is go and drive both of them and see which one you like to me the skyline seems to have more front end grip than the s13. also as swanny said you need to change the brakes on them the standard brakes on an s13 aren't that good, if you where going to spend a little more and wanted to get an s series nissan i would get an s14 they have a wider track, already have bigger brakes and there are plenty of parts for them.
  18. if it happens again i would say one or both or you afm's are stuffed there is a good article in the DIY thread about to fix them very easy job and only take about 20mins
  19. the r32 is heavier but it isn't by a huge amount i know my 32 was 1320kg wet and an s13 that i had was 1260 wet. so not s huge amount, where the skyline makes it up is the suspension setup and for me over all balance. to compare my s14 and 32 isn't fair the s14 has king springs and koni shocks and some sway bars vs the skyline that is coilovers adjustable bushes and most bushes have been replaces vs the 11 year old bushes in the s14. just looking at lap times and mods it seems on average that the skyline is slightly quicker, i'm sure there are plenty of s13 owners out there that will say otherwise. also not wanting to start another sr v rb thread but personally i think the rb20 will cop much more abuse on the track than an sr. as for brakes on my car i run r33 gtst fronts with slotted rotors all round and tsw pads i dont hve issues with brake fade.
  20. all depends on what you want to do, at QR there are some quick wrx's but they have spent some good $$$ on their car. a properly setup gtst can make a quick track car and dare i say i think they are faster than the s13 in standard forms i think the skyline has the better chasis. the 32 gtr's are quick but ask anyone who ownes one and races it and i'm sure they will tell you they are expensive to run. you can get a nicley modded 32 gtst for around the 11-12 mark.
  21. i'm not sure how an safc is going to what you want it to do, unless they have changed and now they timing but as far as i knew you could only change air flow meter signal, so to change timing you would be changing base timing anyway.
