The GT30/40 turbo in the Falcon is good for 600+hp. Dunno what the Astra turbocharger is specs wise but the XR6T really is good news for future tuning. Horses for courses but dont even mention these 2 cars in the same thread!! .... It is exciting though having more new cars entering the tuning foray...

My GTSt has recently developed a really strong petrol smell. I have no idea what has caused this. I have not overfilled it or anything of that nature. Recently i had a mechanical boost controller fitted (dont know if this could be related). I have also found the car a little slow to 'come to life' on start up also... (fuel pump possibly?) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....

In steps HSVKLR.... I was disturbed this week to learn that despite all the money i spent on my car last week to get my nose ahead of HSV, they have upped the power of the LS1 to 285kw(292kwDIN). HSV "claim" 0-100km/h = 5.3s 0-400m = 13.5s You'd have 3/5ths of fcuk all chance however of confirming those times. HSV are notorious in winding the BS meter to 11. They claim 5.6/13.6 for the auto... Wheels mag this week recorded 6.5/14.5s... see what i mean

You can easily get the badge off HOTR33 without damaging the paint if you are careful. 1. Wash your car 2. Get some string and in a see-sawing motion move the string behind the badge... and off it comes. 3. Polish section of paintwork to get residual glue off. Trust me ive debadged my car and not a single mark remains

GTR badges are a definite NO-NO. What's wrong with a GTR kit? My car would look so shit if it didnt have GTR kit (has GTST bonnet however). I know it isnt a GTR and im not trying to make it one Plain and simple Pentae - it just looks better. Get it?

Aftermarket BOVs apparently can cause poor fuel consumption. In my case im certain the BOV was the sole reason why i went from high 400s to high 200s-mid 300s. My fuel consumption has taken a further hit this week with 12psi of boost on low setting....
