  2. Peter Hopkins at ADVAN Performance does a great job. He uses nothing but the best parts and has been tuning skylines for years now, both here and in NZ. He charges a little bit more than most but after taking my skylines to other places that are cheap and almost destroyed them... ei: Mercury Motorsport in Queensland thought it would be a great idea to put low impedence injectors in my R33 GTST and then dyno it for 6 hours. (Any of you who know anything about injectors and RB's, will already be shaking your heads). Nearly fried the comp and the car ran like sh*t until I took it to Peter at ADVAN, he replaced the injectors and tuned the car beautifully. Highly recommended!
  3. I own 2 Skylines; a R33 GTS and now a R33 GTR Vspec. Both of which have been modifyed to the point where they are no longer practical cars to drive everyday. I have always wanted a daily driver V8 and what better choice than a FPV BF MKII GTP semi-auto. I'd have to go for the auto option because, living in Syndey has made me realise that, no one in sydney ever 'drives' to thier destination.....they simply 'crawl' to it as the traffic and road quality in Sydney is disgustingly bad. Driving manuals through Sydney traffic is a painful experience (especially with a twin plate clutch), the 6 speed auto offered by FPV just gives the best of both worlds. With that said, I think a comfy Aussie V8 with a lazy 6 speed auto tranny would have to be the next vehicle of choice. Its got a great sound, its comfy as, the parts a cheap and available from everywhere and now that I'm 25+ I won't have any problems getting insurance as I did with the Skylines. ......maybe a nice Defillipo quad tip exhaust to go with it

  8. The standard exhaust is a killer on these things. Very restrictive and they don't let the RB26 rev the way it should. On top of that, they rust very easily especially if the owner in japan has decided to take it to the snow a couple of times and neglect getting it rust proofed...like mine lol. I still have mine stowed away in the laundry ready to go just in case the police decide not to like my 3.5" HKS item I have on there now. If they guy you bought it off has been using crap oil, I would get the gearbox checked for wear & tear. Oil that hasn't been changed for a while can do massive amount of damage over time to these things. Some of them can be ready to strip that 2nd gear as soon as you give it a bit one day. Enjoy the GTR life mate.
  9. OK, Just had the ole' RB26 rebuilt and now these parts have to go. Postage is available on some items and the rest are pick up only from Homebush in Sydney. Item 1: Stock R33 GTR turbos. They have done 94000kms. When the GTR came over from japan it was compression tested and the results were 272 in all cylinders! No shaft play at all. These turbos have never seen a hard day in thier life. - $500ono. Pickup only. Item 2: Greddy Profec E-01 Boost controller. High/low and overtake boost control modes with manual control or full auto. Boost data logging capability up to 3 hours. Great condition. - $400. Can post at buyer's expense. Item 3: Stock RB26 cam shafts, PC - $200. Pickup only. Item 4: Stock RB26 injectors, PC - $300 the lot with rings. Can post at buyer's expense. Item 5: Near new Nissan R33 GTR clutch fitted by Prince Oita in Japan just before shipping. Did about 4000kms in Australia before being replaced with a OS Giken STR Twin Plate. Great OEM replacement item. - $150. Pickup only. Send a PM if more info is needed.
