  1. Had them running in my RB25. Worked fine. Only I needed bigger ones for my current boost setting.
  2. Only certain EBC's have that ability, I know my profec e-01 has a gain setting. The higher the number, the slower the turbo reaches boost threshold, this also good for reducing the risk of boost spike. (highly recommended for 14psi+ applications)

I just heard that it got called off due to high wind, anyone else heard the same thing??
  4. GT3540 is capable of making up to 30psi. Make sure your boost is low until you know exactly what kind of internals you have eg. big end bearings, main bearings, studs, forged pistons and rods. Valve train might be worth checking as well. Running a turbo like that at, even at half its potential, can be dangerous on a RB25 with stock internals. Exibit A: 18psi was running through this one when it blew, very nasty. See if the previous owners have reciepts for these mods. Good luck .
  5. lol, there's always one folks! No matter how big you make the 'PICK UP ONLY' phrase in the original ad, there's always one peanut that asks about postage...*sigh*

  12. Hey guys, The good 'ole google search isn't helping me today. Anyone know of a good touchfree car wash or laser wash centre in the Eastern suburbs area or close to it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  13. I just love the media's usage of the phrase "speed was involved" when it comes to P-plater accidents. Yes, I think, being the fact that the car was travelling at more than 0km/h, then speed is always going to be a factor in any accident. LMAO :laughing-smiley-014: Maybe the RTA should get rid of P-plates all together and then we'll just have normal accidents like everyone else.
  14. Hey guys, Just a question for any HICAS experts out there. I drive my R33 to work everyday and always along the same route. Everyday and exactly the same distance, the HICAS warning light turns on (usually 3/4 of the way to work which is about 20kms away). It's been doing this ever since I bought my line but until now have not had a point in time to base it off. I don't think it has anything to do with power steering fluid becuase thats full and there are no leaks in the actuators at all. If anyone has any idea why this light is turning on at that exact distance everyday or have had the same problem happen to them, please let me know.
  15. Geez, you guys sure are a friendly bunch down here, I think I'm gonna enjoy the Sydney scene. Just to answer a few things, a GT3040 is the same as a Garrett GT3082r, its a 600HP externally wastegated ball bearing turbo. Quite capable of running 26psi all day if you want to. The clear cam cover was a custom made project that was taken on by a performance shop up in queensland which unfortunately didn't go anywhere. So this is probably the only clear cam cover designed for a RB20/25 in Australia unless another shop wants to take up thier own project. For the record, this cam cover from start to finish including research and development and hiring a plastic fabrication company to produce it cost over $7000.....not a cheap project for a small performance shop thus why the project was terminated. You can all get a closer look at it when I see you all at my first sydney cruise.
  16. Cheers for the welcome guys, I'm living near Coogee beach at the moment. Looking forward to seeing you all on a cruise very soon.
  17. Hello NSW members, I've just moved from QLD and am very new to the whole Sydney driving thing. (Soo many bypasses!!) Yeah anyway, I own a R33 GTS that I rebuilt and converted to turbo using a GT3040 on a highmount. Current power rating 275kw atw @17psi, keeping the power nice and low until the gearbox and LSD is upgraded. Would like to meet all of you on a cruize at some stage so if anyone has one going and would like to meet another banana bender converted to cockroach...lol feel free to post or PM. Thanks
  18. I've got 9" Volk's on the rear of my R33 S1 with 265/35's. A negative 2 degree camber keeps them from scraping. +42 offset as well.
