  1. Haha i love it! The perfect excuse to give the big girl a good run
  2. Heh', thanks Yeah ill try those options listed above. Thanks for the kid idea too, i'd doubt id be able to fit through. Damn skylines only made for lil' japanese people  I'll let you know what happens, and hopefully the easiest way to fix the problem if anyone else is unlucky enough to have this happen too! I guess you could say im lucky as it didnt snap off in the ignition at least!! -Dave.
  3. Just go to a local key cutter (locksmith or one of those bootmaker/engraver shops) and get another one cut. trust me, its a hassle otherwise!!! As with the magnet, yeah i was sure if the key was magnetic or not. Only one way to find out i say!! Remember there are another 2 metals that are non-ferrous that are still magnetic Nickel and cobalt. Maybe the key has enough of that in it to stick to my big mother magnet!!
  4. I should be able to attend the redhead bbq and cruise to Newcastle. Approx what time are you arriving there for lunch, so i know what time to meet you there? Ill see if Ian's keen to come along too. Looks like a good day! Cant wait Edit: I'll bring along 1 other passenger too. I drive a blue R33 - Dave.
  5. Argh ok Any more ideas?
  6. Yeah, i was thinking the really strong magnet too... Will see if i can find one at work somewhere.
  7. Howdy, Well when i was at the shops nearly two weeks ago now i went to open my boot and the key snapped off in the lock as i turned it!! Uh-oh!! So my question is, has this happened to anyone else before and how do you suggest i get the rest of the key out of the lock?! lol i was having the worst time that day, so it was the cherry on the cake. I was not happy - haha. Its a r33 and the boot button inside the car doesn't open the boot at the moment (unsure why), so that poses another hurdle too... Thanks for any help, Dave.
  8. Definetly interested in this thread and teh possibilty of a group buy too.

    I Did It!

Awesome stuff there darK. I'd love to be able to do this sorta stuff!
  12. Hey Stace, I hope you had a very nice day up there. Go to the marina for a nice b'day lunch? Regards, -Dave.
  13. lol - the poll idea sounds madcore!!
  14. This threads runnin hot!! 2 replies just while i was typing!! Abo bob, will you let them use the internet so they can come socialise on sau with us work-crew? i dont think id take a job without internet access
  15. lol stan! Maybe talk directly to a few school career councellor's (spelling? ) as they typically have direct contact with finishing hsc students. That way, through one free 'advertisment', that person can contact anywhere up to 200 potential employees and you dont even have to lift a finger!!
  16. As some of you guys know, ive had very BAD experiences as well with police. And there is one cop that has a very bad reputtion around the hunter valley region (i wont be more specific) that hassles all the younf blokes with nice import cars. So what if you have an aftermarket air filter!? Isn't that better as the car is running more efficiently and thus producing less pollutive emmisons gases?! Go out there and defect cars with no brakepads, no indicators, rust-buckets and cars with worn seatbelts! Don't hassle nicely kept, well maintained cars that are driven by law abbiding motorists. After my little rant, i'd like to say that this thread is very useful for both parties to view and hopefully we will all gain some useful insight into the matter and we can drive our cars we love on the road without any un-due hassles!!
  17. Haha, i asked that question a few months ago too! I got mine from: http://www.pixelcars.com/ However, when i tried to access the site then - it wouldn't load up. Apparently the owner got fed up with paying for his forum to be hosted or something.... So i dunno where you can get one from now!! Maybe Paul or Stace will give you some tips Hope the rebuild plans are in full swing for ya! -Dave.
  18. v. nice photos already posted there!!
  19. Very nice pics uploaded there. Keep the good shit comin!!
  20. Seeing you created two of these thread's phil, i see my other comment has gone astray! But i also would get ye ol' locals at DiRTgarage to make your engine healthy again. As stated by paul, you cant comprimise on quality when it comes to a rebuild. And im sure he'll do a great job for ya. (Btw Paul, finally got all those darn defects cleared too !)
  21. Hey Phil, Check out this recent thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=102089 In the local area, i think DiRTgarage up at Soldier's point may be able to help you. If they cant do it there, then im sure Paul can steer you in the right direction for a top local rebuild. -Dave
  22. Any pics of what it looks like lol? Totally not interested in buying it though. The polices mega busted busterer would no doubt catch me if i ever used one of these
